POPSTwo California men get decades in prison for operating a marijuana dispensary "Luke Scarmazzo was sentenced to 21 years and 8 months in prison and Ricardo Ruiz Montes got 20 years for operating a marijuana dispensary in Modesto. Sentencing before Federal judge Oliver Wanger took place on November 21, 2008. Luke and Ricardo had a licence to run the dispensary and paid taxes. The conflict between state and federal laws are what led to their arrest and conviction. The case drew attention because of a controversial rap video titled "Business Man" that features a sneering, preening Scarmazzo who raises both middle fingers to the camera and says " the feds." Defense attorneys said the federal government went after Scarmazzo and Montes because the music video challenged law enforcement's authority

Teachers there selected fifth-grade girls from the Ladies Club, a group of about two dozen third-, fourth- and fifth-graders who receive lessons in etiquette, good behavior and setting goals. The girls, some of whom said they don't like school, said they look forward to Freedom Writers. The girls go through different exercises in class before two or three girls volunteer to read from their journals. Usually they learn new vocabulary. They all agree not to judge each other and to show empathy. They also agree not to share anyone's secrets. Once the girls "feel good about writing," she will work more on the mechanics of syntax, Gibson said. That way, the girls will learn to hone their skills. "They're going to be more articulate," she said. "They're going to be writing all the time."

POPSMr. T Teaches Kids How To Rap (Funny Video) Fave-off In the video, Mr. T tries to teach a bunch of kids how to rap and it makes you wonder how it’s possible that a guy can be better at rapping when he talks in his regular life than he is when there’s an actual beat that he tries to rap along with.

Among other things, this provides an incredibly useful and entertaining learning tool to discuss with students the physics behind the Large Hadron Collider and particle physics in general.
