When we speak wrongly of others, not only are you cheating the person with whom we are speaking to out of knowing a potentially good friend, but we are also cheating the person being spoken of. We are essentially assisting the listener to form a negative opinion of another. So please think about the harm you can inflict upon others, before you say something about that person. The penalty imposed for marrying outside the faith or to a convert is severe: excommunication. Perhaps if our faith communities would spend less time defining orthodox beliefs and more time in transformational spiritual practices we'd all be better off. True Jackson's death was news, but the media went so far over-board it bordered on the ridiculous. Farrah Fawcett died the same day I believe, however, once news broke that Jackson was rushed to the hospital, Fawcett may as well had died last year. Although some coverage was warranted since Jackson was a celebrity, but what we got was almost sickening.
