Your Babies Are Killing Our Planet!
merrie
by merrie  10-27-2009    1
Monday, October 26, 2009 Moonbattery in the U.K: "The worst thing that you or I can do for the planet is to have children" From the U.K. Guardian: Fewer British babies would mean a fairer planet. The worst thing that you or I can do for the planet is to have children. If they behave as the average person in the rich world does now, they will emit some 11 tonnes of CO every year of their lives. In their turn, they are likely to have more carbon-emitting children who will make an even bigger mess. If Britain is to meet the government's target of an 80% reduction in our emissions by 2050, we need to start reversing our rising rate of population growth immediately. And if that makes sense, why not start cutting population everywhere? Are condoms not the greenest technology of all? Actually, if you ask a true ghoul, it would be abortion, not condoms. In fact, scratch abortion, just cull all humans without discriminating based on anything other than productivity

Economy fallout: Younger workers less secure, less engaged
Lexica
by Lexica  10-20-2009
More: The key findings: * Employee engagement is down because of the economy; this decrease is most drastic in younger age groups. Additionally, those who do not feel secure in their job experienced a greater decline in engagement after the economic downturn. * Employees report decreased supervisor support. * Employees feel increasingly overloaded with work and feel they are assuming the workload of those who have either left the organization or are less productive because of decreased engagement. * Employees feel less included but also feel teams are less effective after the economic downturn; age played a factor in this analysis. * Perception of job quality decreased likely because of a "command and control" approach many organizations adopt (intentionally or not) during times of economic crisis.

How Do Not Waste your Sleep: 10 Bad Sleep Habits
AScomputer
by AScomputer  10-13-2009
Manny people waste hours and hours in bed for no good reason. The purpose of this post is to help you, not only to fall asleep faster, but also to improve your sleep system – the idea is that you will ultimately waste less time in bed because you will require less sleep and fall asleep faster. If you don’t have enough sleep, it can lead to depression, high blood pressure and lower productivity at work.

U.S. Fails To Make Top 10 Quality of Life Index
JackieDel
by JackieDel  10-9-2009    3
Sure, it's easy to claim a higher quality of life when you live in a place like France, where you get 30 days of paid vacation every year. Never mind that their productivity numbers nearly equal ours. Where's the index for rugged individualism and personal responsibility? How good do ya think them Frenchies would do on that, huh? They just don't have the stuff to accept a shorter life expectancy and crappy health care. (The lifespan for African-Americans in the former French city of New Orleans is about the same as that of people living in North Korea.) But, hey, they're not who we mean when we talk about Americans, anyway. I don't want your damn pinko health care. And keep your hands off my gun. Oh, and, U.S. outta the U.N., dammit!

kkcapricorn

The study calls for a renewed effort across Europe to tackle MSDs, led by an increase in early detection. It says this would both reduce the burden on governments' health budgets and cut sick leave levels. "MSDs clearly have a serious, negative impact on the EU workforce, as they were responsible for millions of lost working days," said Stephen Bevan, managing director of the Work Foundation.

Search for Criminally Insane killer Phillip Arnold Paul who Escaped During a Field Trip
merrie
by merrie  9-20-2009    1
Take a look at this liberal, bleeding heart agenda for recovery for a man who soaked an elderly woman’s body in gas and burned her in a flower garden to throw off dogs. BTW, that does not seem to be crazy, isn’t that a conscious thought to destroy evidence? Good grief, check out the mission statement and recovery principles. Why didn’t they just pay for his way on a Carnival cruise? Recovery Principles: Hope Self management and autonomy Dignity and self respect Tolerance and forgiveness Adaptability and capacity to change Personal responsibility and productivity Peer support and community life Acceptance and self awareness What the hell was a criminally insane killer taking a field trip to the County fair? What the hell were authorities at Eastern State Hospital where Phillip Arnold Paul was a patient thinking? Was to zoo closed? Could you not get tickets for the matinee movie? WTF!!! How on earth were these people putting the citizens and children at

False Republican Attacks on Health Insurance Reform In an attempt to stall or even derail health insurance reform, many Republican officials have continually made false and outlandish claims that distort the truth about the reforms that are actually being proposed. Special Interest Groups' Misinformation Campaign Special interest groups continue to rely on scare tactics and mistruths to create confusion and distort the debate. In many cases, they’ve attacked provisions that don’t even appear in any of the health-care measures under consideration. Viral Chain Emails Filled with Blatantly False Claims Many people have received anti-health-reform chain emails filled with blatantly false claims.
