POPSMcCain-Palin Rhetoric Goes Over the Top Next up, handing out official McCain-Palin pitchforks and torches at rallies. Now that he's pretty much screwed, McCain's true colors are manifest. Given a choice between losing with class or instilling honest-to-God hatred in his supporters, McCain chooses the latter. See also; McCain steps up character attack on Obama .

POPSGeoEye-1, Google's Satellite Sends First Image In an interview for Wired magazine, GeoEye's vice president of communications and marketing, Mark Brender, explained, “This is the opposite of a spy satellite. Spies don't put info on the Internet and sell imagery. We're an Earth-imaging satellite, and we can sell our imagery to customers around the world who have a need to map and measure and monitor things on the ground. We're commercializing a technology that was once only in the hands of the governments. Just like the internet, just like GPS, just like telecom – all invented by the government. And now we are on the front end of the spear that is commercializing this technology.”

POPSMcCain pushes $300 billion mortgage plan I def. think he is Fracking high on something. First, this "plan" would piss off a lot of people who bought houses they could afford and would then watch others who bought houses they could not afford (granted given bad advice/loans) and have taxpayers bail them out so they can stay in homes they really should not be in, in the first place. If there had been oversight in the govt and better regulation, none of these people would be in the situation they are in because it would have been a crime for these douche bag mortgage brokers and others to pitch them and give them the loans. So now this guy wants to take another $300 billion on top of the almost trillion the tax payers have already put into this mess. What a fracking idiot.

POPSWhy Ayers case is risky for McCain-Palin And what of Palin's associations with the Alaskan Independence Party that wants to secede from the nation, and the statements of the party's founder that are hostile and profess violence towards the United States?

POPSChoose Your Poison or Go 3rd Party? I think the decision should be easy, I cannot get why so many still will vote for one of the two in the clip, it just makes no sense whatsoever! I hear many say let's vote out of office anyone who voted yes to the $700b bailout, yet BOTH of these two voted yes and those same people are still considering voting one or the other INTO the highest office. Can someone who is doing this, please explain it, thanks.

POPSObama Uses CAIR Lawyer To Stall BERG v OBAMA Sandler’s role for CAIR has been to stifle people from telling the truth about Islam. For example, last year he tried to get Jihad Expert Robert Spencer banned from speaking to the Young American Foundation, by using a threatening letter. Sandler followed up by threatening columnist Mike Adams for writing about the Spencer incident. Look, everyone deserves legal representation that is not the Issue. The real issue is why is a candidate for President of the United States, a guy who wants to take over the role of Commander-in-Chief in the war on terror, using the Lawyer for CAIR a group with terrorist connections, to represent him in a law suit? Once again the Junior Senator from Illinois leave us with questions and no answers. Hon. R. POPSNRA ramps up ad campaign against Obama "The pro-gun group is claiming that Obama would be the most anti-gun president in American history. But in the view of many Californians, his stand might not be such a bad thing. The state has led efforts to restrict military-style semiautomatic weapons, large magazines and the sale of cheap handguns most often used in robberies."

POPSMcCain Puts His Chips on PA, WI, and MN The problem with this strategy is that it's insane. Minnesota, for example, is so far from competitive that Politico's swing state map doesn't even list it anymore. I went to Electoral-Vote.com and got these numbers -- McCain is the lower number in each case: Minnesota - 54%-43% Pennsylvania - 50%-43% Wisconsin - 49%-43% Maybe PA and WI make sense, but MN? Seriously, I don't see the reasoning.

POPS Investigated For Election Fraud In At Least A Dozen States ACORN's practices have corrupted our political process as well. It has engaged in questionable election activities for years—stretching back even to the organization's founding years in Arkansas. In recent years, as its political power has increased, so have instances of fraud. In the past few years, it has been investigated for election fraud in at least a dozen states. Want examples? In Florida, ACORN employees filed a false voter registration form for 68-year-old former St. Petersburg Democratic mayor Charles Schuh – amazingly, they registered him as a 30-year-old Republican woman. In Ohio, ACORN and its affiliate Project Vote submitted registration cards that had the highest rate of errors for any voter registration group.

POPS SCOTUS Admits Blunder on UCMJ, But Says "Nevermind"
and shows again, how Obama's model judges pull constitutional law from thin air. That was spectacularly clueless, and one of the many occasions on which Obama has demonstrated that for all his fine degrees from Columbia and Harvard Law, he's ignorant of world history. First, no one at Nuremberg was permitted to file a habeas corpus petition in the American courts. Second, the Military Commissions Act provides substantially greater procedural and substantive protection than what any of the Nuremberg defendants had. Rights for foreigners accused of being terrorists that even our own service personnel don't get. A "living, breathing" Constitution whose answers, are blowin' in the wind. You do get an indirect vote on whether that's what you want — but you have to cast it through your choices for POTUS/VPOTUS and (even less directly) U.S. Senators. Judicial appointments are just one more issue on which this year's presidential election presents you with a stark, vivid choice.

POPSObama Makes Gains in Battlegrounds McCain's constant stunt-politicking fails to pay off. In fact, it has the opposite of the desired effect. Can Sarah Palin pull this out of the dumper tomorrow night? You're kidding, right?

POPSThe Democratic Party and Clean Elections One of the reasons I'm disillusioned by the democrats and am not jumping on their cheerleading team - they play dirty and like to keep the system rigged. If you are a democrat please support clean, open and "democratic" elections.

POPSDaniel Boone (1734-1820)
the following says something we all know is true. While His status is Legendary, He was as are all of us Human. Something he would have been glad to admit. He had the same humanity as we all do, and beside the victories there were defeats as will be the course, but. He was prepared to venture into the unknown. and what he found can now be taken for granted, but it should Never be that way. Boone remains an iconic, if imperfectly remembered, figure in American history. He was a legend in his own lifetime, especially after an account of his adventures was published in 1784, making him famous in America and Europe. After his death, he was frequently the subject of tall tales and works of fiction. His adventures—real and legendary—were influential in creating the archetypal Western hero of American folklore. In American popular culture, he is remembered as one of the foremost early frontiersmen, even though the mythology often overshadows the historical details of his life.
