What is Clipmarks?
egoldstein
by egoldstein  6-25-2007    5
I just read this description of clipmarks by {{pokkets}} and literally got the chills. I believe one of the odd things about clipmarks is that it is very misunderstood by the general web population. Unfortunately, I think that is mostly a product of me being unable to properly explain it. So, when i see a description that so totally nails it, i get such a rush of excitement. Thanks {{pokkets}}!

FISK: "Even I question the 'truth' about 9/11"
righthand
by righthand  8-25-2007    40
....– whose melting point is supposed to be about 1,480C – would snap through at the same time? (They collapsed in 8.1 and 10 seconds.) What about the third tower – the so-called World Trade Centre Building 7 (or the Salmon Brothers Building) – which collapsed in 6.6 seconds in its own footprint at 5.20pm on 11 September? Why did it so neatly fall to the ground when no aircraft had hit it? The American National Institute of Standards and Technology was instructed to analyse the cause of the destruction of all three buildings. They have not yet reported on WTC 7. Two prominent American professors of mechanical engineering – very definitely not in the "raver" bracket – are now legally challenging the terms of reference of this final report on the grounds that it could be "fraudulent or deceptive". Journalistically, there were many odd things about 9/11. Initial reports of reporters that they heard "explosions" in the towers – which could well have been the beams cracking – are easy to

There's lots of crazy stuff on the Internet, and everyone has their own idea of what is weird, strange, or just plain eccentric. These seven websites are all odd, and you may not understand exactly what the point is, but they can crack you up. And then again, some of the sites here are just plain weird. You be the judge...

Mysterious people
Aribeth
by Aribeth  5-4-2008    11
who appeared in the village of Woolpit in Suffolk, UK, in the 12th century. The children were brother and sister and they had green colored skin. Their appearance was normal in all other areas. They spoke an unrecognized language and refused to eat anything other than pitch from bean pods. Eventually their skin lost its green color. When they learned English they explained that they were from the ‘Land of St Martin’ which was a dark place because the sun never rose far above the horizon. They claimed that they were tending their father’s herd and followed a river of light when they heard the sounds of bells - finding themselves in Woolpit. Some of the more unusual theories proposed for the origin of the children are that they were Hollow Earth children, parallel dimension children, or Extraterrestrial children.

Eaten by trees
Aribeth
by Aribeth  2-13-2008    8
The beauty of running are the things you pass by as you run along. You get to see things that you don’t notice as you drive by in a car. You may have run the same route 50 times but you find yourself seeing something different each time. I ran by a tree than had grown over a fence and it got me to thinking, there are probably some cool picture of things “swallowed” by trees.

Russian Stone Idols of Komi
alanocu
by alanocu  5-11-2008    7
The seven "stone idols" in the upper part of the river Pechora stand alone on a wide plateau. An interesting formation considering the surrounding landscape: The writer for englishrussia.com believes they were man-made. http://englishrussia.com/?p=1911 I think they appear to be formed by nature, but the location is odd. amgumen if you see this, any ideas?
