being dutch, my mama as well as my aunts have no shame. i've grown up seeing them naked about the house as though it was normal. my aunt monique is more than willing to show you her rack, even if you don't ask. the question here is - does everyone *want* to see us naked? probably not. i'm sure it depends. though, having little shame myself, i wouldn't mind being naked in my garden...

New Hypoxia Execution - Totally Humane & Cheap
righthand
by righthand  1-16-2008    7
...Emerging from the chamber, he believes the test to push his life to its limit has failed. Nor has he any recollection of his inability to reopen his oxygen supply or to put his mask back on. "I fooled you, didn't I?" he says triumphantly. "No, Michael, death was your final destination today," says Meeuwsen, who trains fighter pilots for the Royal Netherlands Air Force. "Hans saved your life." Portillo travelled to a military training base in the Netherlands to research the effects of oxygen starvation, technically known as hypoxia, on the body. His quest is unusually dark. What he really wants to know is if hypoxia can offer a humane method of killing people in the 55 countries that still have the death penalty on their statute books.

A field of triangles crumples and twists into a wavy crystalline sea. A crystal ball sprouts spiraling, labyrinthine passages. Faceted bricks stack snugly into a tidy, compact structure. Underlying each of these objects is a remarkable geometric shape made up of a sequence of triangles—a spiral polygon that resembles a seahorse's tail. The result is beautiful to behold.

UK MP: USA Executions INHUMANE
righthand
by righthand  1-16-2008    6
"I think the State has a right to exact retribution and in the worst cases that means paying with a life," he says today. "I still do believe in it – I switched my position because of several miscarriages of justice, not because of any change of heart. "However, I feel very strongly that if the State is going to kill someone, it should do it in a way that is as unlike murder as possible. It should be painless. "There's not an animal from a beetle to an elephant that you can kill without a series of protocols worked out scientifically to make sure the creature does not suffer. "Yet when it comes to capital punishment, we are far less concerned about whether it is humane or not. "I wanted to discover whether the science of killing offered an alternative." That is why Portillo, who has carved out a respected TV career for himself since leaving politics, finds himself at the grandly titled Centre for Man and Aviation in Soesterberg, Netherlands."
