POPSBible-Era Mystery Vessel Found more (at source): From the objects that surrounded it, Gibson determined that the cup dated from some time between 37 B.C. and A.D. 70, when the Romans nearly destroyed Jerusalem after a Jewish revolt. Among the dig's other finds are ruins spanning the time of the founding of King Solomon's Temple, around 970 B.C., to the destruction of Jerusalem by Christian crusaders in A.D. 1099.

POPSLaguna Niguel wants to cover up Amtrak mooning event Family-type event?!? I guess this comment by the city’s police chief shows that deep down inside she thinks this is harmless fun. Just so there is no misunderstanding of where I stand on this, I think the event is harmless fun too, but I wouldn’t want my kids out there ‘exposed’ to adult butts, and other parts. It is called ‘indecent exposure’ for a reason. I know it started out as a barroom bet, but really, what do these people have against Amtrak? And then there are always those few idiots that carry the whole thing too far and ruin it for everyone else.

POPSCan i have the Barack Obama doll and ice cream? “I absolutely love the man.” The margins are sky-high: a T-shirt that costs between $5 and $7 will retail for $15 to $25. “There has never been a better time to be in this business,” he said. “My biggest concern is running out of merchandise. You can’t give Bush stuff away at the moment but anything with Obama’s picture on it is walking out of the store.” The market for Obama products, added Mr Warlick, has been worth as much as $250 million since the start of the campaign

POPSThe subtle pleasures of Japanese green tea One of my favorite teas is gen mai cha , Japanese green tea with toasted brown rice. It manages to somehow be simultaneously soothing and gently energizing... and it tastes delicious. I keep a thermal mug of it at my desk and drink three or four mugs a day while I'm working.

POPSKnut gets the Boot My sweet cub has reached 440 lbs at the age of two. He has become too big for his enclosue and the Berlin Zoo won't build him one. What crap. He has a loyal Fan Club who have accumulated over 21,000 signatures to try to keep him in Berlin, but it looks like another zoo will get him. It's estimated that Knut has increased the visitor numbers by 27%. The officials claim it's not about money, but the welfare of the animals. Truth be known, they just don't have enough eligible mates for him, which means no more baby bear cubs to view and that is certainly about money. What in this world isn't about the MONEY?

POPSThe Dumbing down It continues... Palin is the poster-child for low expectations in politics. Not only syntactically, but intellectually.

POPSChe's Children seek respect not money A man who fought and died trying to overthrow capitalism and material excess should not be used to sell British vodka, French fizzy drinks and Swiss mobile phones, among other travesties, she said. "We don't want money, we demand respect." Aleida, 47, the eldest of Guevara's four children by his second wife, made the comments during an internet forum sponsored by Cuba's government ahead of what would have been her father's 80th birthday on June 14. The complaint came amid a surge of renewed interest in Guevara. The actor Benicio del Toro won best actor at the Cannes Film Festival this month for his portrayal in Steven Soderbergh's four and a half hour epic Che. Camilo Guevara, a son, who participated in the forum, said he welcomed the film as long as it was faithful to his father's memory.

POPS"Clipmarks' Beer Guzzlers Club"
May 28th, 2007 is the official founding day of the the unofficial society; "Clipmarks' Beer Guzzlers Club". We're a secret society (shhhhh...), but it's not like "Skull and Bones", it's more like "We'll jump your Bones", but you get the idea. *LOL* The club celebrates (and therefore of course always toasts to) the love of the World's mightiest and most fun beverage; BEER!. :D I'm Chairwoman and {{betong}} is the Grand Master of Ceremonies and we have countless groupies and secret supporters in our ranks too. New members are automated added (even without their knowledge because we're THAT secret) if they have a clip that in any way mentions beer, so CBGC's true membership numbers are probably equal to that of a smaller European country. (Only the 33rd degree Guzzlers are aware of the precise membership numbers, because we're sooo secret, remember?) Welcome to CBGC and happy one month anniversary Guzzlers! You know who you are! (Some of you at least) Cheers!.
