POPSWall Street celebrates bonuses, schools beg for supplies We see stories like “Recession Pinches Back-to-School Budgets” http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2009/10/03/eveningnews/main5361456.shtml and “School budgets dip, class sizes grow” http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32156424/ns/us_news-education/ along with reports of Wall Street reaping fat bonuses after being bailed out with taxpayer dollars. Sure, the bailouts were necessary to keep the economy afloat. Or so we are led to believe. And while the wisdom of a Wall Street bailout is being debated there is no debate about whether or not our schools need more money. Should public schools needs be ranked second to Wall Street because schools don’t turn a profit? Actually, if your head is on straight, you can clearly see how schools do turn a profit, but you need to value education above making money in order to see it. If you do, here’s an online charity that connects you to classrooms in need: http://www.donorschoose.org/

POPSIt's the fight against death. Having empathy and concern for others can be a misfortune because there is so little one can do to help the forgotten ones. That's the way the Insurance Industry would like those who can't afford their high premiums to become... FORGOTTEN. It's only people with a platform such as Mr. Olbermann, who can bring to light the outrageous greed in this country where bottom-line is more revered than humaneness. I guess if they could just get rid of those who can't line their pockets, they would do so but since we are a nation of laws all they can do is lie, mislead and spend exuberant amounts of money lobbying their status quo. Thank all that is good, for Keith Olbermann, he is the guiding light to benevolent thinking of which we all, Conservatives and Liberals alike, can follow, if you happen to possess a heart. He truly is A VOICE OF REASON. thinkingblue View the whole segment here: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33213245/

POPSHow 20 Popular Websites Looked When They Launched From Google to youtube, from craigslist to flickr - how some of today's biggest sites looked back in the early days of their existence. Remember the days when the word Google was not interchangeable with internet? Or when every site seemed to have a Netscape icon on it? Or when Flash was still something you cleaned your floor with? Then you were clearly using the web in the mid to late 1990s when pages were rudimentary affairs containing lists of links and information. POPSChuck Todd Reports O.1 Percent Drop in Unemployment The Obama White House already planning their own "Morning in America" Ad Campaign for 2011-2012! "Morning in America" was President Ronald Reagan's ad theme during the 1984 campaign which followed the stunning turnaround in the U.S. economy during Reagan's first term of tax cuts and doing everything possible to help businesses. But because unemployment took a minuscule drop, they are already comparing it to what Reagan accomplished, even though Obama has done everything opposite what Reagan did. It was too much even for fellow panelist Susan Page of USA Today who immediately interjected that "Morning in America" was preceded by Reagan losing 26 seats in Congress in the 1982 mid-term election, suggesting that may be what is more realistic for Obama to expect. POPSLawsuits filed over wolf hunting in Rockies http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/31073035/ This disgusts me. In one paragraph it says that there are about 300 wolves left in Wyoming. THEN it goes on to say that the population has completely returned. That is absurd.
