POPSClipmarks now available for Firefox 3 Just wanted to make sure everyone knows that we released a new version of clipmarks (version 3.5) that supports the just-released Firefox3. We made some real nice improvements to the orange lines so they should more accurately outline elements on the page to clip. If you don't have the latest version of clipmarks installed, you can get it here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1407. There's a review section on that page, so if you have anything nice to say, don't hesitate :) FYI...we're getting loads of new clippers today, so if you get a chance, check out the newest clips section and welcome some new users with some pops and comments.

It will look like this: Firefox warning, preview In this case, please click the "Edit Options..." button. In the following dialog, add bettersearch.zottmann.org to your list of trusted sites by clicking "Allow", then "OK". After that, click the installation link again, and the extension will be downloaded and installed.

POPSRemove Firefox Addons, Improve Security “Users are vulnerable and are at risk of an attacker silently installing malicious software on their computers. This possibility exists whenever the user cannot trust their domain name server (DNS) or network connection. Examples of this include public wireless networks, and users connected to compromised home routers,” says Soghoian on his slight paranoia blogspot.

POPS Firefox Release New 2.0.0.10 November 26, 2007 Improved Tabbed Browsing Tabbed Browsing screenshot We love tabs as much as you do, so Firefox 2 will open new web pages in tabs by default. Each of those tabs has its own close button, but don’t worry - if you accidentally close a tab, just go to the History menu to bring it back from the list of “Recently Closed Tabs.” You’ll never be crunched for space anymore, either. When you have too many tabs open to comfortably fit in a single window, scroll arrows will appear on either side, and a button on the right side will always show you an easy-to-read list of all your open tabs. Spell Checking Spell Checking screenshot Sometimes you’re in a rush, and can’t remember if it’s “i” before “e” or the other way around. Firefox 2 has built-in spell checking to keep you from making any mistakes in your blog posts and Web-based email, so you can worry about more important things.

POPSGoogle notebook is now live! I've been a big fan of Evernote (http://www.evernote.com/en/) for years. Their free version offers functionality that's what most folks would ever need. Recently, I also discovered ScrapBook (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/427/), a great Firefox extension that has the advantage over Evernote of not requiring a full application download and being available directly from my browser, albeit with reduced capabilities. Now along comes Google's Notebook which has the promise of obsolescing both, with the added advantage of being available from any computer with a browser. Since you can also share your Notebook pages, could it possibly be a Clipmarks killer, as well?
