POPSIs The Word Fuck Becoming More Acceptable? Do we give too much power to that word? I can remember the first time I heard it and I thought it was real bad. Really, really bad. Like going to hell bad. Through the years I've used that word a lot to express frustration. Maybe too much, because it kept me from expressing my frustration in a more intelligent and meaningful way. But it felt so good to say it. It released stress in the short term, but until someone came into my life that I really respected I didn't realize how offensive that word could be to others. I still reserve the right to use it to make a point that I feel cannot be made without it. Like the website FML does.

PBS " a network partially funded with my tax dollars " has the right to tell my kids that their parents watch “trashy” news? The message is clear, I can’t even sit my kids in front of “Sesame Street” without having to worry about the Left attempting to undermine my authority. And don’t tell me, “If you don’t like it change the channel.” There are no channels left! It’s everywhere. Just last week I had Obama’s service and volunteerism promoted on every single major network, including Disney and Nickelodeon. …by the way, why SHOULD I change the channel? This is MY channel, I’m paying for it! The fact that this is a re-run from an episode written during the Bush Presidency only reinforces that this is nothing new. The Left has been doing this for years now.

Took Bush 2 yrs & 10 months.” The Swamp noted that after the invasion of Iraq in 2003, Bush quit golf, saying, “I don’t want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the commander-in-chief playing golf . . . POPSLiz Cheney emerges, the left's feeding frenzy (and "tolerance"), verging on abject panic So Liz Cheney, just like Palin, unnerves and upsets the Left, not simply because she might run for something and win, and not only because she is one of the most effective conservative spokeswomen on national security. She threatens their claim to the moral high ground and their assertion that women voters belong to the Left. That’s reason enough to send them into fits of rage. And you can bet they’re only getting warmed up. So predictable. Saw this coming a mile away. It's almost boring watching the left piss their pants again over a woman who happens to be a conservative. POPSAn Egregious Tragedy Has Taken Place ... into its clutches. It didn't happen to my child but it did, to someone who lived in my community. His name was Adam Walsh and he was a year younger than my own. The Walsh's horrible story, could have been mine. I, many times frequented the same place as Adam and his mom and I forever shuddered to think it my child who was cut from the herd and open to attack. We as a society should warn our children and ourselves that we are but one or two seconds from something so heinous that our lives would never recover. Whenever our children leave the safety of our sight, we should tell them, "Never allow a stranger to talk lies, in order to hurt you. Scream, cry, run and fight if need be, not to be taken by anyone.” Every child, every young person who falls victim to the savages amongst us, must be a reminder that we live in a jungle of predators but worse, these fiends look like us, so we have to be even more vigilant than jungle prey.

POPSLeave something beautiful On another blog, I read where a mom and her children would write lovely things on paper and leave them for strangers to find. They would tuck them into places where finding them would be a surprise as much as what was written on them.
