Parents panic over MRSA
jetcloud
by jetcloud  10-23-2007
"Dr. Arjun Srinivasan, an epidemiologist at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says extreme measures to 'disinfect' an environment such as a school really are not the most important procedure in controlling the transmission of MRSA. Dr. Srinivasan says while it is understandable that people are concerned it must be emphasised that MRSA is a common cause of skin infection and almost all of these infections are readily treated by commonly available antibiotics and by draining the lesions. Dr. Srinivasan says that hand hygiene is by far the best means to prevent the spread of all diseases. Experts say the key to dealing with MRSA is early diagnosis and then the completion of a full course of antibiotic treatment. The public needs to watch for wounds that do not heal and are not helped with normal antibiotic treatment."

This makes the terrorists look like pussycats
thinkingblue
by thinkingblue  6-8-2007
I would wager to bet that almost all people alive today have a story of someone they had known who died at the hands of a doctor. No wonder they say : Doctors Bury Their Mistakes The following are actual, unedited, notes written by doctors on patients' medical charts: Patient has chest pain if she lies on her left side for over a year. On the second day the knee was better, and on the third day it disappeared completely. She has had no rigors or shaking chills, but her husband states she was very hot in bed last night. Patient has two teenage children, but no other abnormalities. More click this site: http://www.thebrolly.co.uk/elric/docsbury.html

Biloxi, MS Should be Ashamed of Juvenile Justice Detention Center
nedhamson1
by nedhamson1  4-21-2009
"Toilets and walls are covered with mold, rust and excrement," the lawsuit says. "Insects have infested the facility, and the smell of human excrement permeates the entire building. Children frequently have to sleep on thin mats that smell of urine and mold. Defendants do not provide children with adequate personal hygiene items." Children who have been confined there describe assaults by guards, being locked in their cells for 23 hours every day, inadequate medical and mental health care, and widespread infections caused by the filthy conditions.
