POPSRevealing Photo “Shortly after 9/11, particularly because as we’re talking about the Iraq War, that became a substitute for I think true patriotism, which is speaking out on issues that are of importance to our national security, I decided I won’t wear that pin on my chest.” Of course he readopted false patriotism later in the campaign when he figured out he’d need some to get elected, but he’s been elected, he’s president now, and he can do whatever he wants. Maybe now that he is president, it is real patriotism. But I’m going to guess that, much like giving a nod in speeches to America’s history of sacrifice in defense of freedom and the nation’s ongoing interests and obligations in that regard, this is one of those presidential things he just has to do.I kind of wish he’d speak out more on issues that are of importance to our national security , though. I’ve noticed lately that getting him to do that is like pulling teeth, and usually only done when it can’t be avoided ......

POPSZager and Evans: In The Year 2525 (Exordium & Terminus) In the year 9595 I'm kinda wondering if man's gonna be alive He's taken everything this old earth can give And he ain't put back nothing... Now it's been 10,000 years Man has cried a billion tears For what he never knew Now man's reign is through But through the eternal night The twinkling of starlight So very far away Maybe it's only yesterday... POPSThe Truth About CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) vs. "Climate" Hysteria CO2 is NOT a pollutant--it's natural and essential for life! Maybe those who cry loudest against CO2 should save or hold their breath, literally, since they are expelling so much CO2 in their political propaganda, while attempting to overthrow civilization. Any government, whether national or global, that attempts to regulate the necessities of life (including your own breathing!), is erecting the largest tyranny of all.

POPSMoa Tse Tung & Obama Mt Rushmore Christmas Ornaments At White House ~ WTF! Oh, once again the Obama’s were unaware. Do these people pay attention to anything other than their own ego? Why let a holiday season come between the White House and making some political statements? The White House pegged controversial designer Simon Doonan to oversee the Christmas decorations for the White House. Mr. Doonan, who is creative director of Barney’s New York has often caused a stir with his design choices. Like his naughty yuletide window display of Margaret Thatcher as a dowdy dominatrix and Dan Quayle as a ventriloquist’s dummy. For this year’s White House, he didn’t disappoint. POPSWill gov't. health officials ground Santa Claus? Is this the way things will be if we ever get a government-run health care system? Santa can deliver millions of toys all around the world in a single night while it takes the Postal Service days to deliver a single letter. And Santa has been doing this for centuries! I think maybe these so-called "health officials" could take a lesson or two from ol' Mr. Claus!

POPS$100,000,000,000 A Year OR End-Days The president's speech followed the publication of draft text, obtained by the Guardian this morning, that reveals the enormous progress needed from world leaders in the final hours of the Copenhagen climate change summit to achieve a strong deal. The draft says countries "ought" to limit global warming to 2C, but crucially does not bind them to do so. The text, drafted by a select group of 28 leaders " including UK prime minister, Gordon Brown " in the early hours of this morning, also proposes extending negotiations for another year until the next scheduled UN meeting on climate change in Mexico City in December 2010.
