POPSHumble mouse turns 40 and loses its touch "The mouse now faces unprecedented competition. Laptops which make no use of a mouse are an increasingly popular alternative to desktop computers for workers on the move. Apple's popular iPhone and Nintendo's Wii have shown the potential for touchscreens and movement sensors. HP is pushing a mouse-less TouchSmart PC. Microsoft has invested millions of dollars in a coffee table-shaped 'Surface' computer which responds to natural hand gestures, touch and physical objects." And still it has done its job in making computers more accessible... happy birthday :-)

POPSThe iPhone is Apple's solution to the Enterprise Even though most every one agrees when it comes to Apple and Enterprise, the iPhone is helping Apple reach into Enterprise. Apple had only had 1% in Oct. 2006 and jumped to 4.5 just 9 months later. It is no coincidence that the iPhone was announced in Jan. 2007 and started shipping that summer. POPSWill The Mac OS Run Windows Apps? To translate this from the geek speak: Apple may be adding code into their newest operating system which would allow user to run Windows software, natively, from within the Mac OS. Right now, you have to run a special program, and run windows inside of that -- or else boot your computer into Windows entirely. If this is true, it would be huge -- and a major threat to Microsoft's domination of the OS market.
