POPSWoman In Red Miniskirt Knocks Down Pope Benedict XVI Saltarello has a history of mostly assaulting soccer players while they are showering in the dressing room. Saltarello was recently released from jail after serving seven months for fondling one of the players on Italy's National Soccer Team. The player requested that his name not be used. We will only say that his name rhymes with Xalberto Xpignola number X16. A woman who was standing just about three feet from where the Pope fell to the basilica floor said she clearly heard the Pope yell in broken Latin, "Ipso veni vidi vici ad hoc facto boof" which roughly translated means, "Hey what the hell is wrong with that dumb stupid bitch." Another parishioner who gave her name as Sophia Drezzalini-Collingsworth said that she saw three of the Pope's security guards fire at least 29 shots into the unidentified woman. The Pope was helped to his feet, while the woman was dragged by her ankles to a waiting garbage truck.

POPSA Quiet End for the Boys Choir of Harlem I used this video because it was the only one I could find that had decent focus on the kids actually singing. The always stunning and stellar Kathleen Battle is a fabulous bonus. From what I've read, the ending of this wonderful, world renowned choir came about as a combined result of the death of its founder, Dr. Turnbull, a scandal involving sexual abuse of one of the kids by a counselor and difficulties with the IRS. Who pays the penalties for all this mess? Why, the kids, of course. They do the work, they inspire the people, they bring beauty into the world and in the end, they pay the price for adult incompetence, cupidity and political games. What a world!

POPSLatin America Ends Year With Major Advancements In Gay Rights
With the debacle in the Middle East brought about by the previous administration, serious questions are emerging that the U.S. now lacks the ability to project power on the international stage. Now, with Mexico City's decision on Monday to approve gay marriage, it appears that local governments in two countries steeped in conservative, Catholic tradition - and allegedly not as progressive as the United States - have taken a far more expansive view of human rights and equality than the U.S. If the U.S. cannot project military power, and we can't seem to get a grip on human rights and equality in a way that two Latin American cities have done, what can we do in this country anymore? I am ending the year on a pessimistic note, but it seems to me that the only thing we are good at anymore is consuming anything and everything we're told to, polluting the environment and yet denying the very existence of global warming, cheating the most vulnerable among us, and

POPSChavez: US using Dutch Islands to Prepare Possible Attack "Venezuela is being surrounded by military bases," Chavez said. Colombian and US officials have dismissed Chavez's concerns that Colombian bases could be used as launching pads to try to unseat him, saying their sole objective to fight drug trafficking and leftist guerrillas within Colombia.

POPSVintage Moonbattery: Copenhagen's A Battle To Humble And "Redefine Humanity" So this isn't the place for rationality. It's the place to reverse the Industrial Revolution. You do have to read this entire self-caricature, though, because there's just so much I couldn't include. There's an entire section on how the people who disagree with him - the bullies who call him bad names - are angry because he's just too decent. Then there was a part about how we have to reign in "adventurers," which a cynical person might read as a pointed version of banal Blue State nannyism. "I'm too priggish to have fun so you're not allowed to have any either." The Guardian (http://bit.ly/691nUu)

POPS14-Defining Characteristics of Fascism 3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause - The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe: racial , ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists, terrorists, etc. 4. Supremacy of the Military - Even when there are widespread domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized.

POPSHonduran Democrats Overcome the Brutal Obama Imperialism Sobering, distressing, heartbreaking, and infuriating. The President of the United States was helping to overturn a free and democratic government for no other reason than he wanted to help a socialist Chavista. This should be the blackest mark on Obama’s record so far (though by no means is it the sole count against him). But, hoo-hum, the Left and the legacy media (BIRM) just look right past it. Well said. POPSFunny stereotype essay on our visiting German market
You know those dystopian films that speculate about what England would have been like if the Germans had won the war? Well, they’d have made it into a theme park. Winter Wonderland, in London’s Hyde Park, is precisely what occupied Britain would have felt like if the EU had turned out to be the Volksunion. They try to tell you it’s a traditional Bavarian winter market transported to London with fraternal greetings for our edification and jollity, but oh, ho, ho, ho, it’s not. It’s the Santa has landed. It’s Blitz Noel. From a distance, it all looks like a regular fair: the carousels and Ferris wheels and a V-2 launch pad, the flashing lights and the colours, the familiar screams, the perennial Chrimbo game of spot the paedo with his festive sack and gaffer tape. But it’s not what it seems. I don’t like it, sergeant. The shifty young gypsies working the rides are just too blonde. Too disciplined and polite. They don’t smirk or stick their hands up your girlfriend’s frock on the dodgems.

POPS'Iranian terror network in S. America I'm telling ya'; they're moving in, moving out and gaining some serious control and influence. All the while those in Washington focus on pushing a horrible Health Care Bill on us, throw billions at busted businesses, useless pork programs, foreign aid and down the empty hole called the UN.

POPSLand of the Free, Home of the Brave Or, since I am referring to Honduras, "tierra de los libres, hogar de los valientes". Congratulations to the people of Honduras, who maintained their democratic process in the face of tremendous international pressure to abdicate it. It is now only a matter of time before other nations--including my beloved Brazil--will recognize the legitimate government. Look for Chavez' Venezuela to be a spitefully perpetual holdout.

POPSSpecial Considerations about Spanish Translation
Romance languages include a number of the tongues used in the Iberian Peninsula. Spanish is one of these, evolving from the local means of communication in Northern Spain. According to one Spanish Translation worker, "It came to be adopted in different Spanish colonies across the world. This was the case for a large part of the four centuries that spanned the fifteenth and the nineteenth centuries." Spanish has become native to a population of close to 320 million. As a second language, it comes a close second to Mandarin Chinese. Being an official language, Spanish incidentally finds its most speakers in Mexico. Experienced Certified Spanish Translation workers suggest that "Spanish, otherwise known as Castilian, is made from a lot of dialects from across the Spanish world." The Second Punic War for instance, introduced Latin into the Iberian Peninsula. The 5th century saw the Spanish nation come under attack from the Gothic races. A number of dialects from Latin then came into

POPSBrazil, US Face Off Over Honduras The election is only disputed by leftist countries who are upset with the results. And Lula's moralizing about "coups" is funny considering some of his best buds were originally brought to power by military coups.
