POPSMan, Do I Hate Holiday Travel by iowahawk Take for example a recent flight I took from Lagos to Detroit. With over 100,000 miles on my JihadAir platinum card, I've schlepped enough miles through Heathrow and Gatwick and Yemen International to know I should be at the airport two hours before departure. Especially during the holiday heavy bombing season. Good thing too, because by the time I got there, there was already a mile long line at the explosives counter. And man, talk about smell! I swear half of these stupid shaheeds hadn't bothered to take a shower, let alone a pre-martyrdom ablution ritual. Come on people, how about a little self respect? And right when I was only two martyrs in line from the counter? Yep, you guessed it. The stupid explosives agents called for a prayer break. To top that, just as I was finishing my last supplication, I get up off the prayer rug and these three friggin' Saudis totally jump the line, and I'm like, "dude, WTF?"

POPSWe Still Have To Be Afraid, Heck of A Job, Barry Even before a Nigerian with Al Qaeda links tried to blow up a Northwest Airlines jet headed to Detroit, travelers could see we had made no progress toward a technologically wondrous Philip K. Dick universe. We seemed to still be behind the curve and reactive, patting down grannies and 5-year-olds, confiscating snow globes and lip glosses. Instead of modernity, we have airports where security is so retro that taking away pillows and blankies and bathroom breaks counts as a great leap forward. If we can’t catch a Nigerian with a powerful explosive powder in his oddly feminine-looking underpants and a syringe full of acid, a man whose own father had alerted the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria, a traveler whose ticket was paid for in cash and who didn’t check bags, whose visa renewal had been denied by the British, who had studied Arabic in Al Qaeda sanctuary Yemen, whose name was on a counterterrorism watch list, who can we catch?

POPSMailman in Charge of Dispensing “Medical Countermeasures” to Biological Weapons; 0bama Executive Ord The spores killed five people: Two Washington, D.C., postal workers, a New York City hospital worker, a Florida photo editor and a 94-year-old Connecticut woman who had no known contact with any of the poisoned letters. Seventeen other people were sickened. Obama says his decision to give the Postal Service a role in responding to a widespread biological attack won't supersede the authorities of other agencies. POPSTwo Of The Four Plotters Behind The Flight 253 Attack Were Released From Gitmo In 2007 both the Bush administration and the Obama administration. We can argue about the political pressures Bush was under, but the simple truth of the matter is that we should have created a process for dealing with these detainees long ago. The Military Commissions Act was this solution, establishing military commissions to establish the guilt or innocence of these detainees, but it came far too late in Bush’s administration to do any good (and was absurdly deemed unconstitutional by the Supreme Court in yet another decision ignoring the constitution completely). And now our policy toward Guantanamo Bay is a mish-mash of conflicted and largely politically-motivated pap geared more, I think, toward pandering and backside-covering than any national security strategy. Some of the detainees are getting trials in civilian US courts. Some are being shipped off to Pacific islands for continued detention.

POPSWhile terrorists plot, the FAA parties I saw some undercover clips of the partying on Fox and heard this story. This all says a lot about the current culture and seriousness in the minds of those who are paid (nicely) to see that our citizens are safe while they fly in our skies. Forget the parties, the bonuses for CEOs and "managers"; instead let's pay the scanners, the mechanics, and builders of our planes what they're really worth.

POPSReligious Christmas cake Now let's get the reporting accurate. Was he barred from the UK? Did he, or did he not graduate from university? Is it the same Security organisation who reported on Saddams' supposed WMD - in this man's case lessons in maths instruction - wants Carte Blanche on every former soldiers identity by forcing us all to carry dubious ID cards, and who couldn't sit straight in cinema if given a free ticket?

POPSSir Richard Branson: the airline owner on his new war What a w*nker! If he was serious, he would sell his airlines and invest in cool trans-Atlantic liners, as I tried to suggest to him in the early 90s. He could still make a lot of money, even now, if he moved fast, with his undisputed ability to market and self-promote.

POPS Pee Wee Obama's Big Adventure
As a reference point when Bill Clinton went to Asia for a week in 2000, that trip alone cost $63 million for all of the necessities of a glutton White House. Don't think for a second that the gluttonous Obama's are saving one dime. I ask people to remember Ronald Reagan vacationing at the Reagan Ranch. I ask people to remember George H. W. Bush who vacationed Kennebunkport at his family house. I ask people to remember George W. Bush in vacationing at his Texas ranch. Those properties were all paid for and did not cost $40,000 in rent. These Republicans if you recall liked to ride horse in Reagan, fish in Bush 41 and Bush 43 liked running a chainsaw. All cheap entertainment. There was never any entourage of pigs in family and friends seeing who could suck an expensive vacation off the US taxpayers. All three of these Republican Presidents dealt with economic catastrophes and understood the value of every cent they were spending. Yet Obama rolls in and can't find

POPSDHS Sec.Napolitano: "The System Worked" on Attempted Al-Qaeda Plane Bombing
For the first three months of this administration, they refused to use the word terrorism." Per Napolitano, "the system worked" (see the video, also at peekurl.com/vjvx1c2). Let's Roll 2 by Mark Steyn On December 25th 2009, the government's (post-9/11) security procedures all failed, and the only good news came once again from alert individuals: (Jasper) Schuringa, sitting in seat 20J, in the right-most section of the Airbus 330, looked to his left. "I saw smoke rising from a seat ... I didn’t hesitate. I just jumped," he said. "I searched on his body parts and he had his pants open. He had something strapped to his legs." The unassuming hero ripped the flaming, molten object " which resembled a small, white shampoo bottle " off Abdul Mutallab’s left leg, near his crotch. He said he put out the fire with his bare hands. Schuringa yelled for water, and members of the flight crew soon appeared with fire extinguishers.

POPS Update: Investigators: Northwest Bomb Plot Planned by al Qaeda in Yemen
Investigators say the suspect, Abdul Farouk Umar Abdulmutallab, a 23-year-old Nigerian student whose birthday was last Tuesday, has provided detailed information about his recruitment and training for what was supposed to be a Christmas Day suicide attack. Hat tip: ABC News Less than two months after 13 Americans were murdered by a militant Islamic fundamentalist, another terrorist attempted to kill several hundred people aboard a jumbo jetliner. The announcement said the device contained PETN (pentaerythritol), which the Justice Department called “a high explosive.” “FBI agents recovered what appear to be the remnants of the syringe from the vicinity of Abdulmutallab’s seat, believed to have been part of the device,” the released added. The government said: “Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, 23, a Nigerian national, boarded Northwest Flight 253 in Amsterdam, Netherlands on December 24, 2009 and had a device attached to his body.

POPSNorthwest Flight 253: An al-Qaeda Linked Attempted Act of Terror according to a law enforcement official. The suspect told authorities that he had explosive powder taped to his leg and used a syringe of chemicals to mix with the powder that was to cause explosion. This is of concert because it is a method of mixing that is consistent with terror techniques. The suspect traveled from Nigeria to Amsterdam and then Detroit. Fortunately, the man suffered second-degree burns, consistent with fireworks or low-level explosives. The Airbus A330-300, a twin-engine jet, was carrying 278 passengers. POPSCassini: Unlocking Saturn's Secrets Do explore the site, there are some wonderful videos. Also, they are talking about Cassini catching a "glint" caused by liquid on Titan. The liquid is NOT water. It's hydrocarbons. Imagine a moon with enough liquid fuel to form lakes on the surface! Examples of common hydrocarbons below: *..Methane and benzene *..Cylinders of Butane and Propane (LPG fuel). *..Gasoline at the gas station. *..Diesel fuel. *..Paraffin oil (for Heating, Oil lamps and Oil picnic stoves) *..Gas Oil (for Furnace fuel). *..IPA; Isopropyl alcohol (Rubbing Oil) from a Pharmacist (Chemists in the UK). *..Cigarette lighter fuel (Butane, or a type of gasoline). *..Candles (Heavy Hydrocarbon Paraffin wax). (Coal and wood also contain Hydrocarbon Compounds)

POPSF-35 Squabble Could Kill Hate Bill Perfect, we need to get behind this and use it destroy the Totalitarian hate crimes bill, which is something even Bush would have shied away from. "The best way to assist veto of the defense/hate bill combination is to revive grassroots protest of the hate bill. We must convince Obama and Democrats in Congress that Americans hate the hate bill. They must know that Obama’s signature will result in even more town hall-style outrage against Democrats–and certain revenge in midterm elections next year Here’s how you can help

POPSBy Palin-haters’ logic, Obama’s a liar He lied about using public funding for his campaign. He lied about delivering a “net spending cut.” He lied about going line by line through the federal budget and eliminating programs that don’t work. And on and on it goes. So eager are some to “get” Sarah Palin that they apply a standard to her which, if applied to any one of their political allies, would make them look far worse, far, far worse than than accomplished conservative. So keep screaming about Palin. The hypocrisy is astounding. How about we have a pity party for the liberals? Who wants to come? "Waaaahhhhhh Palin flies in a jet.....wahhhhh....Palin is prettier than me.......wahhhhhh....Palin sells more books than Obama......wahhhhhh......I hate Palin more than I hate myself......wahhhhhhhh" Make me LOL

POPSHYPOCRITICAL SCAM ARTISTS Approximately 140 aircraft carrying world leaders, heads of state and VIPs will land in Copenhagen, the U.N. estimates — although 95 percent of departures from Copenhagen Airport will be “green departures,” which allow airplanes to climb continuously to their optimal operating level, enabling them to reach planned routes sooner than usual. The result, according to the U.N., is saved time, fuel and carbon emissions. But Michaels wonders why attendees, particularly those in Europe, can't ride the rails into Copenhagen. “That’s the way I get to New York,” Michaels said. “There’s nothing new here. There’s always been a lot of hypocrisy amongst the climate change political community. "Prince Charles goes around the world in a private jet, telling everyone else they need to ration their carbon dioxide. Please.”
