POPSIsrael Will Act to Prevent a Nuclear Iran Iraq would become increasingly destabilized and the existence of the state of Israel will be directly threatened. Consider that, for many years, Iran has made no secret of its dubious long-term intentions. Israel's destruction has long been its fundamental objective. The multi-year international crisis with Iran is nearing its conclusion. Several months from now, Iran will have successfully achieved the capability to produce a nuclear weapon. Sadly, international diplomacy and an ineffective United Nations will not deter Iran from its nuclear ambition. The result is that the world is well on the path to another international military confrontation. Indeed, the ongoing threats from Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad appear to leave Israel very little choice. In the next six months, Israel will act to prevent a nuclear Iran.

POPSWorld Opinion is Worthless "The moment one recognizes "world opinion" for what it is — a statement of moral cowardice, one is longer enthralled by the term. That "world opinion" at this moment allegedly loathes America and Israel is a badge of honor to be worn proudly by those countries. It is when "world opinion" and its news media start liking you that you should wonder if you've lost your way. "

POPSAhmadinejad's ally denounced for pro-Israel remarks "Not all the Israeli people are wearing (military) boots on the street." Ahmadinejad himself has earned international notoriety for his frequent verbal assaults against the Jewish state, which he has described as a "stinking corpse" and has predicted is doomed to disappear. Tehran vows never to recognise Israel, an ally of the pro-US shah who was ousted in the 1979 Islamic revolution, and Ahmadinejad has repeatedly said Iran is ready to talk to all nations except the "Zionist regime." "Mr Mashaie probably does not know that those he calls people (Israelis) are the same occupiers of houses of millions of Palestinians," the MPs said in the statement. "These people have created the illegitimate Zionist regime... we do not recognise a land called Israel let alone recognise its people."

POPSBeauty of Iran From the site: "Richly-textured land, rarely seen in the West Outside of politics, this is a fascinating, enchanting world, rarely shown in all its color. Since our first part we received many requests to continue with the series, and in fact, we'll continue to highlight the natural beauty of Near and Middle East countries, such as Armenia, Lebanon and Israel. In our humble opinion, people should learn to appreciate natural beauty and historic customs, without reaching for a "telescopic finder" of a rifle."

POPS"Stillborn Baby" Comes Back to Life The baby was then taken to the hospital's neonatal intensive care unit for further treatment, but doctors were not sure how long she would live. Motti Ravid, a professor of internal medicine, told Israel's Channel 10 that the low temperature inside the cooler had slowed down the baby's metabolism and likely helped her survive. What a wonderful miracle!

POPSNBC Olympics Web Site Awards West Bank to “Palestine”
Today's Reuters story about Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's peace offer to the Palestinians gets wrong the basic history of Palestine. Under the proposal, Israel would return to the Palestinians some 92.7 percent of the occupied West Bank, plus all of the Gaza Strip In fact, it is impossible to "return" West Bank land to the Palestinians, as they never were the sovereigns of this territory. http://blog.camera.org/archives/2008/08/updated_reuters_rewrites_ruler.html Before 1967, when the West Bank came into Israeli hands, the territory was ruled (and annexed) by Jordan. Prior to that, it was under British rule. Before that, it was Ottoman territory. The Egyptians ruled for some time, as did the Mamluks, the Crusaders, Arab Caliphs, and a number of other ancient empires. But the Palestinians are not on this list. So while the West Bank could technically "return" to Jordanian or British sovereignty, it could not, however, return to Palestinian sovereignty.

POPSMcCain-Lieberman Ticket? No surprise. Israel wins, especially if something happened to the "gray hair dude" (P. Hilton). Neocon "birds of a feather...". There really is no true republican candidate. This might just send a whole lot of conservatives to third party candidates and ensure Obama a win--unless there is an October Surprise (false flag attack), which would help the military veteran.

POPSRussia vs. Georgia or US Proxy War with Russia? THE COLD WAR IS BACK ON. Putin is ticked at Bush. Russia conducted it appears, a pre-emptive strike. Let's compare US and Russia media sources to see each side of the story. Russia's government says this looks like Iraq (Bush's war) and Kosovo (Clinton's war, condemned by republicans) all over again! Americans should play the skeptic and consider domestic media as propaganda (as usual). Pravda: "The further the situation unfolds, the more the world will understand that Georgia would never be able to do all this without America. South Ossetian defense officials used to make statements about imminent aggression from Georgia , but the latter denied everything, whereas the US Department of State released no comments on the matter. In essence, they have prepared the force, which destroys everything in South Ossetia, attacks civilians and hospitals. They are responsible for this. The world community will learn about it,” /quote]

POPSIsrael Backs Georgia in Caspian Oil Pipeline Battle with Russia until a "durable peace" is reached. "As soon as a durable peace takes hold we need to move forward with dialogue and peaceful negotiations." DEBKAfile’s geopolitical experts note that on the surface level, the Russians are backing the separatists of S. Ossetia and neighboring Abkhazia as payback for the strengthening of American influence in tiny Georgia and its 4.5 million inhabitants. However, more immediately, the conflict has been sparked by the race for control over the pipelines carrying oil and gas out of the Caspian region. The Russians may just bear with the pro-US Georgian president Mikhail Saakashvili’s ambition to bring his country into NATO. But they draw a heavy line against his plans and those of Western oil companies, including Israeli firms, to route the oil routes from Azerbaijan and the gas lines from Turkmenistan, which transit Georgia, through Turkey instead of hooking them up to Russian pipelines.

POPSThe Israeli-Georgia Connection, $1 Billion and Oil "A new pipeline is being built to bypass Russia". The news about Russia's attacks on Georgia highlighted that oil pipelines were targetted. Could this be the real reason Bush is speaking out against Russia? I was thinking how hypocritical of Bush (although I do not disagree necessarily with the conclusion) that Russia's military action was "disproportionate" (over the top) against Georgia, when he was silent on Israel's destroying of Lebanon (for capturing soldiers). Just whose or what principle interest is Bush really defending in criticizing Russia?

POPSMid East Peace through Porn? TRASH!!! Indeed, this is an excellent example of what "democracy" and it's spread aims to accomplish. Tell me, WHEN DID DEGRADATION BECOME SYNONYMOUS WITH FREEDOM???????

POPSChertoff Wants to Israelize US Airport Security Big Brother expansion while he signs an agreement with Israel (can he do that?) to "share technologies". Chertoff holds dual citizenship and is part of the neocon-Israeli fifth column revolutionizing America into a police state. I wonder how much the Israeli companies will profit from this "sharing". By the way, what threat of terrorism? The probabilities are microscopic in comparison to crime or traffic accidents, yet we bow to the most extreme and expensive measures, none of which would stop a real suicidal terrorist? Everyone is treated as suspicious, and we call it "freedom"? But don't worry, you will be treated as well as a Palestinian in your "homeland".

POPSBaha’i shrines chosen as World Heritage sites The World Heritage List was established by UNESCO in 1972 to identify, protect, and preserve places of “cultural and natural heritage of outstanding universal value.” So far, 184 nations have signed the World Heritage Convention, which defines the general standards of selection for the list, and more than 850 sites have been recognized, including natural areas, such as East Africa’s Serengeti and Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.

POPSScholarships for Terror "Islamic University, after all, is where Gilad Shalit, an Israeli soldier whose kidnaping by Hamas helped fuel the 2006 Lebanon war, initially was held, according to Israel's largest newspaper. The paper also reported that a raid last year by Fatah forces at the university found a cache of rocket launchers and rifles." "A professor at the school told The Baltimore Sun in 2006 that "Hamas built this institution. The university presents the philosophy of Hamas. If you want to know what Hamas is, you can know it from the university." "

POPS9/11 of its Day. Today: King David Atrocity. From criminal, to terrorist, to killer, to Prime Minister, to Nobel Peace Prize winner, yes it had to be a Zionist. Menachem Begin was commander of the Irgun terrorist gang then more infamous and feared than today's al Qaeda . Begin wrote in his memoirs, The Revolt: " History and experience taught us that if we are able to destroy the prestige of the British in Palestine, the regime will break. Since we found the enslaving government's weak point, we did not let go of it. " Words that could be about the USA instead of the Brits by al Qaeda and not the Prime Minister of Israel. Any Arab terrorists have a long long way to go in the terrorist league to catch the Zionists.
