POPSExclusive: Andrew Breitbart Announces Launch of New “Big” Sites
In an exclusive interview with Mediaite, Breitbart shares his vision for his expanding network of “Big” right-of-center sites: Though he’s not exactly a household name, Breitbart has long been a power player in the sphere of Internet influence and opinion. While he may be best known for serving as an editor for The Drudge Report, he also served as an early researcher and developer for The Huffington Post. Since setting out on his own, he’s created a number of sites: Breitbart.com is the core site, aggregating countless headlines from dozens of sites and newswires in real time; BreitbartTV performs a similar function with videos; and Big Hollywood and Big Government are conservative group blogs which cover entertainment and government policy, respectively. In a phone interview with Mediaite, Breitbart says that his new sites will continue to “fight the mainstream media " New York Times, Washington Post, LA Times, CBS, ABC, NBC, MSNBC, and CNN "

POPSTHE BROTHERHOOD Don't jump to conclusions, or make statements that might NOT be POLITICALLY ACCEPTABLE.... afterall, it took OBAMA 30 minutes before he told a media press outlet that the CAMBRIDGE MA police acted "STUPIDLY"..... Just another case of the brotherhood protecting their OWN! (IMHO)

POPSObama and Marxism: A Legitimate Question Obama’s defenders characterize the above charges as mere “guilt by association.” They contend that his connections with known Marxists do not necessarily imply that he shares their views. They claim we can draw no legitimate conclusions about Obama’s own beliefs from the above facts concerning his associations. In so doing, they are in effect charging his detractors with committing a reasoning error logicians call a “Circumstantial Ad Hominem Argument.” They thus gainsay his opponents’ claims that because of his own special circumstances—in this case that Obama has had ongoing relationships with many known Marxists—he must share certain specific views (namely, Marxist). They argue that these relationships are, in fact, utterly irrelevant to his actual beliefs and should not be cited as evidence of them.

POPSBig Brother Monitoring Your Clipmarks, Blogs, Tweets "Visible", a very extensive and sophisticated CIA-based monitoring program is in effect watching online forums, blogs, twitters, and likely Clipmarks (where influential clips are easily tabulated). After all, it's all in the public domain, where whatever you post you must own. In-Q-Tel says it wants Visible to keep track of foreign social media, and give spooks “early-warning detection on how issues are playing internationally ,” spokesperson Donald Tighe tells Danger Room.

POPS Obama’s Media Control Strategy
It looks like various progressive groups are lining up at the public trough for their share of the loot. They have in mind what the George Soros-funded Free Press calls "an alternative media infrastructure." These days we have conservative talk radio, Fox News, and alternatives to the "mainstream" media on the Internet. It is obvious that the Obama Administration and its progressive backers don't appreciate this new state of affairs. Ornstein contrasted what can be, under federal direction, to what we are witnessing "now on health reform," when so many dissenting voices are being heard. He added, "It becomes much more difficult when you have a cacophonous system with fragmented areas of communication." And that "cacophony and fragmentation" is most apparent on the Internet, he said. In other words, those naughty conservatives are standing in the way of Obama's health care reform plan. A new national broadband plan, combined with the just-announced FCC plan for . . .

POPS The Truth May Be … Out There Anyway, I don’t know if there was a publicity-grabbing hoax plotted, or if an opportunity was seized on the fly, or if it all innocently happened the way Balloon Dad says it did. But whatever happened yesterday, I have a sneaking suspicion the flying Jiffy Pop balloon was not originally conceived, built and being tested as an innovative commuting vehicle. It’s not for nothing Shepard Smith and everyone else was comparing that thing to a UFO yesterday. Maybe, like the Richard Dreyfuss character in ”Close Encounters of the Third Kind,” Richard Heene was just strangely compelled to make his experimental 3DLAV commuting device look like a traditional Roswell-inspired flying saucer hoax.

POPSObama could seize the Internet He seized ABC to promote his Health Care. If he can seize the internet, why should he not be able to seize the newspapers, radio, and TV. Does this not scare the hell out of everyone? The enemy is in the White House.

POPSObama to health care critics: end `phony claims' And we are supposed to believe this lying POS? Come dumbass - you are the one who keeps lying to everyone and now like before - when you do not get your way - you blame it on others. I would not normally speak of a president in this manner, however this jerk is no president - he holds the title but he's no president! He lies his ass off and is incapable of telling the truth.

POPSA Call for Change, Real Change
We debate to determine the best solution. But if the debate is motivated by party-politics, the actual purpose for debate is negated. We don’t need a pretty face to report our news. We need the most articulate, intelligent, and proficient individual. We don’t need hate and the party-line to be constantly propagated by the radio waves. We need the facts, the truth, and the solution. We don’t need ignorance and insults to populate the internet. We need reason, principle, and intelligence to be king. Suggestions on how to be a catalyst for change: Turn off the television, end your cable subscription. Unsubscribe from your daily newspaper. Call talk radio and express your views. Write a letter to the editor. Don’t let yourself be defined as “progressive,” “Conservative,” “Republican,” or “Democrat.” Recognize that men are in many ways existential. Vote according to principle and reason. Not based on party. Live what you believe. Believe what you live. Read. Research. Rememb

POPSObama Uses His Horrific Unemployment Numbers to Push For Obamacare It's a pitch that comes as the Democratic-controlled Congress wrestles to write a health care plan that meets Obama's goals of expanding coverage to millions of uninsured while reining in exploding costs. The US unemployment rate rose from 7.6% to 9.7% under Obama... the highest rate in 26 years. Bureau of Labor Statistics- via Sweetness and Light Obama said with the Stimulus Bill the unemployment rate would not go over 8% but the unemployment rate is currently hovering around 9.5%. Obama claims his plan is working. And, now he wants to takeover the health care industry.

POPSHealth overhaul key to economic recovery "We must do more than rescue our economy from this immediate crisis. We must rebuild it stronger than before." You are right for once - resign dummy, that would be the best thing you could do for the economy.

POPSCreate a free forum I used this tool a while ago to Create a website/forum for a friend about Yu-Gi-Oh! and picked up a lot of knowledge on how they operate their limitations and capabilities etc. The site got up to about 50-60 members before He got bored of it and just let the site decay, (He was only 16.) but I found it incredibly easy to use and quite intuitive, with many customization options and discovered it to be a lot of fun seeing a site you created taking shape and gaining members.

POPSFix the economy? Curb corporate America
But there are two huge impediments to accomplishing this. This is not a traditional economics problem, it is an organizing problem or a collective action problem. People know the system is rigged and broken and unjust, but they feel as if there is very little that any one of them can do to effect much change. The organizing task is further complicated by the fact that our media, including television networks, cable TV, radio, newspapers, and magazine and book publishing, are almost all sponsored, owned and controlled by big corporations. The only hope is the Internet, over which big business has tried but to date failed to successfully exert its dominance. The Internet will prove to be both a source of unbiased news and information as well as the communication tool concerned citizens can utilize to fight back against big government, big business and big media. What has to happen to get this movement started? First, I think people need to see that there is a channel being constructed

POPSRage On The Airwaves Read this comment again: "So that's a void in our community — the chance to be in the same room and to have these exchanges and remember the humanity of the person on the other side." THE HUMANITY OF THE PERSON ON THE OTHER SIDE. I see it forgotten on talk radio, and the internet and even here on Clipmarks. So now we have a ruling by our Creators here at Clipmarks that gives the green light to erase any comment that contains an opposing idea. Don't get me wrong, I think having the option to block other's who love to purposefully entice anger is constructive, but there is something bothersome about deleting an opposing idea that could lead to meaningful discussion. It's a void in our community. "But if I just don't like you, your politics, your hair-color, your religion, your ethnicity, sexual orientation, your city of birth, the facts you offer... I can delete your comments, no consequences."

POPSEconomic Credulus that began on President George W. Bush’s watch. But with Obama’s poll numbers slipping on economic issues, Republicans want to lay the economy at the president’s feet. You know, I’m pretty sure in earlier an time, the Associated Bush-bash would have stuck in a phrase along the lines of ”deeply unpopular economic policies” in the second or third graph, rather than tucking that vague polling data reference way down the bottom, and then just using it to suggest cynical Republican political maneuvering. Never mind. I know Nobel laureate Paul Krugman is demanding more national debt. I have a different idea. Forget a second stimulus. If they haven’t managed to even start paying out the first one. How about a Re-Thinkulus. Since it turns out that subsidizing government hacks instead of cutting them, and pouring money into agenda-pushing wishful thinking projects isn’t doing it, it’s a great opportunity to start doing what they should have done in the first place. . . . .
