POPSScientist spying for Israel busted by the FBI
An affidavit suggests why FBI agents posed as agents of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad to conduct the sting operation. From 1998 to 2008, the complaint alleges, Nozette was a technical adviser for a consultant company that was wholly owned by the Israeli government. Nozette was paid about $225,000 over that period, the court papers say. Then, in January of this year, Nozette allegedly traveled to another foreign country with two computer thumb drives and apparently did not return with them. Prosecutors also quote an unnamed colleague of Nozette who said the scientist said that if the U.S. government ever tried to put him in jail for an unrelated criminal offense, he would go to Israel or another foreign country and "tell them everything" he knows. The complaint does not allege that the government of Israel or anyone acting on its behalf violated U.S. law. In Jerusalem, Israeli government officials had no immediate comment. So for older adults, the best advice might be to avoid acquaintances who speak in stereotypes. This research suggests prejudice can be contagious, and we become more susceptible as our brains age.

"To ensure that appropriate safeguard measures are put in place, I would appreciate receiving, in accordance with Iran's Safeguards Agreement, further information with respect to the name and location of the pilot enrichment facility, the current status of its construction and plans for the introduction of nuclear material into the facility," continued the IAEA letter, signed by Herman Nackaerts, Director of IAEA's Division Of Operations Department Of Safeguards. "We kindly request that this information, along with the other information detailed in the attached design information questionnaire, be provided to the Agency as soon as possible. The Agency would also appreciate being given access to the facility as soon as possible."

For the first time Jobcentres will be able to share information with the police, the probation service and "others" to check the "accuracy" of information provided by the claimant. This could include information about drug-testing on arrest, court orders and sentencing and substance-related treatment received in prison or the community. While the bill protects against evidence acquired by Jobcentres being used in criminal proceedings against the claimant, the information sharing is two-way with no obvious barrier preventing the police using the information to prompt or inform a line of inquiry or criminal investigation.
