POPSRepubliucan Health Bill “As Leader Boehner has made clear, our proposal will focus on the No. 1 concern of the American people—reducing health care costs, and we do it at a price tag our nation can afford,” said spokeswoman Antonia Ferrier. “Our proposal will help struggling middle-class families and small businesses by increasing access to affordable, high-quality health care,” Ferrier said. It also includes a ban on any “federal funding for abortions except in cases of rape, incest or threat to the life of the mother.” Of course, in true Dem fashion, they responded to the Republican bill with this profound and poignant comment: It’s “insubstantial.” and…

POPSMan fathered four with daughter The case has created a stir in the country, with many comparing it to that of Josef Fritzl, the 73-year-old Austrian man who kept his daughter imprisoned in a basement for 24 years and fathered seven children with her. What a sick freakin world this is

POPSFactCheck: Obama part wrong about abortion exclusion from healthcare One of the bills making its way through the House, though originally making no mention of abortion, has been amended to say that "Hyde-amendment" abortions - those performed in cases of rape or incest or to save the life of the mother - "shall" be covered. Whether or not this part of this bill becomes law - or ends up stronger or weaker - is impossible to say. Nonetheless, Obama did misrepresent the bill's approach to abortion when he insisted "no" abortions would be paid for with federal money. Some of you with whom I disagreed, based on his comments, were at least partly right. My apologies to you, and I am dismayed and disappointed by the President's distortion.

POPSAmericans Utter a Collective “Ooops” This certainly proves that America has NOT become a ‘center-left’ nation at all. And we are now seeing the actual results of this shift in the public. Cap & Trade - stalled. Healthcare Reform - stalled. Second Stimulus - not a chance in Hell. Pelosi - a lying failure. Reid - incompetent failure. Obama - don’t know where to begin with that one. The only problem for the Republican Party is how to channel this Democrat-rejection into a positive vision going into 2010. One idea: campaign on reversing the Porkulus legislation before it fully bankrupts the nation.

POPSDemocrat Admits 'Hate Crime' Bill Will Protect 30 Sexual Orientations "So while all these folks would be members of protected classes by law, Christians are most certainly not. And little babies in the womb are definitely not protected. Hey maybe that's an idea, someone add fetal-Americans to the list of protected classes by hate crime legislation. Maybe nobody would notice. Maybe that would be a nice end run around the Supreme Court. What a country, huh? A country with legislators who don't read bills that protects people who like to strangle other people during sex but not innocent children."

POPSObama is taking the US economy down the disastrous UK road "What should unnerve Americans is that Obama's economic policies are basically the same as Brown's: massive spending, massive borrowing and massive monetary expansion. This is what these people and their economic advisors call sound economics. The classical economists must be spinning in their graves. " Obama's rhetoric and policies have been the most hostile to business since the Roosevelt administration of the 1930s.

POPSFlorida Senate Passes Bestiality Law So much for this unnatural "sexual orientation"! The bill is here. Every state should pass a bestiality ban and make punishment according to the heinousness of the act. "Sexual orientation" is determined at birth, either male or female, within each species, and without incest, by nature's design. Anything else is a perversion and confusion of nature's design which is plainly revealed. Do not miss the Humane Society studies mentioned about how this inter-relates to all of society. All sexual perversion has consequences on all of society, and therefore is harmful to all society, especially all "unnatural" acts, contrary to nature , which have various degrees.

POPSElisabeth Fritzl Confronts Austrian Incest Father In Video On Tuesday, jurors, Fritzl and the rest of the court viewed videotaped testimony from his daughter Elisabeth, the key witness against Fritzl. Now 42, she was 18 when he allegedly imprisoned her in the cramped, windowless cell he built beneath the family's home in Amstetten. Fritzl watched his daughter's testimony "very carefully and very attentively and provided answers to questions" by the prosecutor, jury and judge, court spokesman Franz Cutka told reporters after the closed-door session. Three of the children grew up underground in Amstetten and the other three were brought upstairs to be raised by Fritzl and his wife, Rosemarie, who apparently believed they had been abandoned. Elisabeth and her six surviving children, who range in age from six to 20, have spent months recovering from their ordeal in a psychiatric clinic and at a secret location.

POPSAustrian Trial Of Fritzl: Murder, Incest, False Imprisonment, Enslavement & Coercion He told how his mother beat him, swore at him and made his life tough. He said: "I did not have a good relationship with my mother. The monster pleaded guilty this morning to incest and rape but denied enslavement and murder. The killing relates to one of the children who died aged just three days. Prosecutors say the child might have survived if taken to a doctor. The court, in St Poelten, west of Vienna, will hear evidence that Fritzl refused to take action when the boy developed severe breathing problems and turned blue. Elisabeth said his brutal response was: “Whatever happens, happens.” Legal experts have said the case for murder will be complicated by the absence of forensic evidence. Fritzl allegedly told police he burned the child’s body in a furnace after he died. DNA tests have confirmed Fritzl fathered all six of his daughter’s surviving children.

POPSTomorrow the responsibility for evolution may rest on our own shoulders Our Post-Darwinian Future; Pluripotent stem cells, gene targeting, and artificial chromosomes could leapfrog over evolution and let us take control of our genome, maybe even turn ourselves into a whole new species. “There is no scientific basis for thinking that we couldn’t,” Silver says. “There’s nothing really special about the human genome. There’s nothing that says this is the end.” more from the article: "Who should have the final say on when and how the human genome should be changed? On the other hand, if technology can enable us to eliminate disease and disabilities from our children or insert genes that might make them smarter or better looking, why wouldn’t we use it?"
