In England, It’s Not How Well You Educate, It’s How Politically Correct You Are
merrie
by merrie  1-5-2010    1
In official guidance, inspectors are told to be aware of “gender imbalances” in upper-ability sets and ensure after-school sport is not dominated by pupils belonging to one ethnic group. Some local councils are also warning schools to make sure staff and volunteers reflect the ethnic make-up of local communities and feature people with disabilities to provide good role models for pupils. Look at England closely, my friends. The country that led the way, that provided the seeds for the American genius, is dying before our eyes. Even worse, our politically correct, liberal, Progressive masters are hastening to drag us down that same path. Let me say again what you’ll hear me say in post after post after post in 2010: The November 2010 elections are pretty much our last chance to stop the PC car before it drags the whole nation over the edge of the cliff.

The Soviet Union’s single party system was a failure due to it’s inability to withstand a dissident attack. The United States two-party system is simply the post-beta form of the Soviet-style political spectrum, with the guise of liberty upon it’s aging fangs. Holding Hands The word paradigm (paradigma), compounded from it’s Greek root word δείχνυμι “to show”, accurately describes the dimension between the left and right party. This paradigm requires a vice grip of social ideology held together for stability. A single party’s influence can break, without a backboard to cater towards any dissidence. Two parties can stand up against one another to create both geometrically and intellectually a more powerful structure that can withstand intense dissidence from each party for one reason: the rebellion of the first party’s ideals are reciprocated by the second.

However, now that that's changing all our enemies can say whatever and ally themselves with each other to undermine and destroy us. Obama is weak; they are taking advantage of that.

Obama Silent as Iranians Die for Freedom Iranian youth no longer chant “death to America.” Now they shout “death to the dictators” as they trample photos of Iran’s Supreme Leader. They also chant “Obama are you with us or with them ?” The reaction from the White House to the latest violence and the calls for recognition of the freedom movement? Silence. Once again, Obama doesn’t want to rock the boat with his hopes for a deal with the mad Mullahs who hold the Iranian people hostage to their warped ideology. Why won’t Obama adopt Reagan’s successful Cold War winning strategy? Because he was raised by a cadre of leftists who despised Reagan and resented the application of U.S. power especially when it was aimed at the Soviet Union with which many of Obama’s mentors and family had great sympathy.

How the Nazis reinvented Christmas and cast the Führer as the Messiah

The exhibition contains selected items from a vast private collection of Nazi Christmas memorabilia, including swastika and Nazi SS tree decorations, Aryan department store catalogues featuring presents for boys – toy Nazi tanks, fighter planes and machine guns – and music for carols that have been stripped of their Christian content. "The baby Jesus was Jewish. This was both a problem and a provocation for the Nazis," explained Judith Breuer, who organised the exhibition using the items she and her mother collected at flea markets over 30 years. "The most popular Christian festival of the year did not fit in with their racist ideology. They had to react and they did so by trying to make it less Christian."

John Galt notes the irony. I get a chuckle out of the great dichotomy currently taking place in Copenhagen. Literally thousands of the worlds left wing anti-Capitalists have descended or maybe it is ascended to Copenhagen in an attempt to implement world wide centralized control of the world's nation state economies, world trade and peoples' lives. At the same time, the professional ladies of the evening are offering their services free of charge due to the exceedingly extra high demand for their services that will take place from the huge influx of these anti-Capitalists. The Ladies will more than make up the forgiven fees for their services with the increased resulting demand and tips resulting derived therefrom.. Ladies of the evening applying true Capitalist ideology to make more money from the anti-Capitalists. DougRoss blog http://bit.ly/8R86u5

UN IPCC Coordinating Author Dr. Philip Lloyd: "Consign to the Scrapheap Without Delay"
merrie
by merrie  12-13-2009    2
Writing the summary involves the co-ordinators, the reviewers and the IPCC functionaries as before, and also various chairmen. The summary goes out in a blaze of publicity, but there is no means of checking whether it represents what the scientists actually said, because the scientific report isn’t published for another four months or more. In the Fourth Assessment, the summary was quietly replaced several months after it was first published because some scientists who were involved complained of misrepresentation. In the early years of the IPCC, there was a slightly different process. The Summary for Policy Makers and the scientific reports were issued at the same time. In those years, however, the Summary for Policy Makers bore a warning that it was the last current word on the subject, whereas the scientific reports were correctly identified as being subject to continuing development.

What A Country We Live In

"For eight years, he ran the Bush administration on the sneak, unleashing a campaign of fear, warfare and wild spending that has caused the very viability of this American experiment to teeter on the brink of collapse. This was the man who claimed the office of the vice president was not part of the Executive Branch because he did not want to obey the law and hand his official papers over to the National Archive. Dick Cheney belongs in a prison cell, not in a conversation about the presidency of the United States. That we actually have people floating his name in the first place reveals just how dark some of the corners of our politics really are. Worse, these are the people whose ideals and ideology were the dominant force in government for most of this decade, so dismissing them out of hand is a truly dangerous error in judgment. Indeed, quite a country we live in."

Plymouth Rock, The Story of Thanksgiving
merrie
by merrie  11-26-2009    4
and generally though a very faulty ideology. William Bradford, governor of the colony, explains clearly in his own hand what happened in his History of the Plymouth Settlement. They imposed what he call “communal service.” We would recognize it as a precursor to socialism. Everything " the land, the work, the crops, everything " was held communally. Everyone was expected to work hard, and receive only what they truly needed. As a result, as Bradford wrote, many would simply “allege weakness and inability.” Bradford reported that “the young men who were most able and fit for service objected to being forced to spend their time and strength in working for other men’s wives and children, without any recompense.” At the same time, “The strong man or the resourceful man had no more share of food, clothes, etc., than the weak man who was not able to do a quarter the other could.” Bradford would note: “Community of property was found to breed much confusion and discontent.”

"Teabagger"
sahara
by sahara  11-24-2009    1
The term Teabagger is not very PC. Then again it would appear that most people have become less concerned with civility, and more concerned with the egocentric need to discover new terms with which to degrade and dehumanize one another. Sad that they have politicized what was once just common civility, even referring to it as POLITICAL correctness, to a point that now there is an anti-civility movement growing by adults who prefer to maintain the ignorant childishness of name-calling and incivility by invoking that it is merely exercising free speech. Of course free speech entitles us to say whatever we want, even when it is hateful, but treating others, even those with whom you disagree, with human dignity does not take away free speech, nor should this somehow be equated with communism or naziism unless one also would liken the Bible to communist doctrine. Matthew 7:12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you... one of many verses. Be civil people.

Richard Tisei, Openly Gay Republican, Picked As GOP Gubernatorial Candidate's ...
clip-on-tie
by clip-on-tie  11-23-2009    4
This doesn't surprise me in the least. Sometimes, when I talk to gay activists or “politically aware” gay people who support the various left-leaning national gay organizations about the Republican Party, they act as if the party was dedicated to the proposition that anti-gay attitudes are integral to the GOP. Yet, if they would spend the amount of time they spend decrying and moaning about the GOP on learning about the history of American conservatism, they might realize that the real animating principle of their movement is freedom. Homosexuality is, at most, incidental to conservative ideology–and we gay conservatives have long been working to make it a non-issue. Some may say, “Well, you support the GOP and Republicans are no better, perhaps even worse. And I’ll reply, yep, you’ve got a point, they aren't perfect, but the GOP doesn't treat our community like a cash cow, milking it when they need funds and hiding it in the barn when they fear it might offend the neighbors.

Bishop Tobin, Self Appointed God
thinkingblue
by thinkingblue  11-23-2009
Bishop Tobin continues to dip his fingers and toes into the holy waters of the state. Acting as though he was god, he continues to threaten politicians who do not buckle under the pressures of his religious dogma. Not having dominance over those who have not been indoctrinated in the Catholic ideology (which must really piss this guy off) he badgers those who he can badger. Threatening them, that only he and his church can guarantee their ticket into heaven and only if they do his bidding. What total and archaic nonsense. Tobin the Thug probably would be sentencing people to the guillotine if he had been born hundreds of years ago when (in the western hemisphere) church and state were one. Now, I am sure there are intelligent clergy among those in the hierarchy of the Catholic church who believe and teach their flock that religion and state should be separated but apparently Bishop Tobin or should I say Holiest Highness Tobin is NOT ONE OF THEM. He's just another bully in my book.

PTSD & Faith-Based Initiatives At the VA
mcsmithblack
by mcsmithblack  11-21-2009
More from the article below: "The story of the mistreatment of returning veterans from Iraq is well known and shocking. But the role of religious ideology in that mistreatment—how, inside the government, it was a potent tool in the betrayal of an overwhelmingly Christian Army—is much less known. “I couldn’t stand to hear that phrase any longer—‘God was watching over me,’” Benimoff wrote. Sullivan explained to McLendon and the other attendees that the rise in benefits claims the VA was noticing was caused partly by Iraq and Afghanistan veterans who were suffering from PTSD. “That’s too many,” McLendon said, then hit his hand on the table. “They are too young” to be filing claims, and they are doing it “too soon.” He hit the table again. The claims, he said, are “costing us too much money,” and if the veterans “believed in God and country . . . they would not come home with PTSD.” At that point, he slammed his palm against the table a final time, making a loud smack."

I'm going with the ones who have records of supporting the things that I consider important....and even then you don't know what will happen to their ideology once they get elected.

One Reason Not To Spend 10 Minutes and 35 Seconds With John Piper
debbyski

He gets a "A" for his efforts at fear mongering. "As the church continues to debate the issue of homosexuality, we find ourselves facing another culture of fear. Many in the church fear those who are other, who are different, and are able to find ways to manipulate scripture to support this fear. And it certainly doesn’t help when extremely influential Christian leaders like John Piper make absolutely ridiculous statements about the connection between a freak tornado and an ELCA meeting. I have to wonder if even John Piper really believes what he has written – or whether this is a convenient way to support the discrimination and hate of the LGBT community. This is conspiratorial bunk that uses the bible as a weapon of ideology, not a source to find God's grace."

Fighting In The Streets - Life In Obama's America

We conservatives have long talked about our willingness to fight for freedom. In a sense, that's generally been metaphorical, especially when talking about domestic rather than foreign enemies. With the far left now on the march, however, it isn't metaphorical any more. It's just one more sign of the Age of Obama--fighting in the streets, as the extreme Left has been empowered as never before.

Here's what was on Prejean's "sex tape"

Since when have liberals been opposed to making sex tapes anyway? Liberalism is based on the ideology that "anything goes." especially if it involves Astroglide. And if Prejean is a "fraud," why don't we elect her to be the President of the United States, since the liberals have no problem with the fraud sitting in the Oval Office. And she and Obama have the exact same views on gay marriage, but Obama is exempt from liberal rage. I see how this works now. Glad I could finally clear this up. And anyone who calls me a bigot just jumped the shark, because I am gay, and Prejean is doing just fine.

You know, like when you realize that both parties are vehicles to drive us away from a true American marketplace that thrived before the boom & bust bailout days (like,..oh,..pre 1960's, maybe pre 1970's) and each party is master of different aspects of the same Post-American end, and then someone says "Yea.  ...to the “noble” “heroism” of suicide bombers and, indeed, objectively supporting the other side in an active war is to be regarded as just some kind of alternative lifestyle that adds to the general vibrancy of the base. Since 9/11, we have, as the Twitterers recommend, judged people by their actions " flying planes into skyscrapers, blowing themselves up in Bali nightclubs or London Tube trains, planting IEDs by the roadside in Baghdad or Tikrit. And on the whole we’re effective at responding with action of our own " taking out training camps in Afghanistan, rolling up insurgency networks in Fallujah and Ramadi, intercepting terror plots in London and Toronto and Dearborn. But we’re scrupulously non-judgmental about the ideology that drives a man to fly into a building or self-detonate on the subway, and thus we have a hole at the heart of our strategy. We use rhetorical conveniences like “radical Islam” or, if that seems a wee bit Islamophobic .......

As indicated by a ABC News Online article, intelligence sources reportedly had a level of knowledge that HASAN was in communication with al Qaeda assets abroad. The source speaking to this author confirmed that report but went further, stating that this and information similar but not directly related to such communications became a “political issue” between government agencies and officials “at the policy making levels” of the administration. According to this source, the now infamous pre-9/11 walls erected within government agencies have returned, “but this time they are higher and stronger.” “There is an unwillingness to address ‘delicate’ intelligence and security matters by sharing information outside of the beltway and that directive comes right from the top.
