POPSPresident Obama unshackles Global AIDS Work from ideological Bush restrictions In new guidelines for 2010, the Obama Pepfar team opened the way to linking AIDS work with strengthening of health systems generally, taking into account the development of human resources, maternal and child health, family planning and access to it for women, gender equality, malaria and tuberculosis, food and nutrition, education and local economies. While Pepfar money may not be involved directly, the program's door will be open for cooperation. It is, in short, a holistic and realistic policy. It will matter because the United States is the world's largest contributor to HIV/AIDS relief, and Bush restrictions have had a deadening effect on many international programs. An estimated tens of millions of women who want contraceptives are unable to get them, or may have no choice beyond crude sterilization or unsafe abortion.

Basically, "if it includes x , it's probably got decent information; if it includes y , it's no good." (For dictionaries, I like the word "chthonic".) One such test for cat care books for me is the question of vaccinations. If a book says "revaccinate annually" and doesn't even mention that there are questions about whether that's safe, much less necessary, it's giving dangerous and outdated advice.

POPSWhy I should get healthier and you might want to also I came accross this post while searching on comments about Don Colbert's book the 7 Pillars of Health. I agree which is probably why I don't go to the doctor anymore or at least not as often. At the moment I am looking for a natural cure for my osteoarthritis which is probably my own fault for carrying around too much excess weight. I am slowly reading the 7 Pillars book and currently drinking my water and exercising. I think God is leading me to health and prosperity.
