If the glacier at Gaumukh does continue to recede or melt away, and if the Ganges would ever cease its flow or begin to dry up, it would certainly mean the end of an era and a drastic effect on the spiritual culture as we have known it in India. Indeed, it would never be the same.

Obviously, there may be drastic implications of a global, Islamic Jihad, which is why peace must be fostered among ALL religions.
