This targeted group “swiftly expanded to cover most of the propertied middle classes, who became an enemy to be defeated and humiliated.”

The interim first Secretary General of the UN was Alger Hiss, an American and secret Soviet agent. Virtually the entire agenda of American environmental organizations has been focused on an attack on private property rights and denying Americans access to their vast reserves of energy in the form of coal, oil, and natural gas, thus undermining U.S. growth and prosperity.

The insurance lobby spent far more than any other during the shaping of this disaster, but now they don't look like the bad guys who blocked health care reform. It's a perfect victory for them. Reform passed, goes the headline, but quietly the insurance industry is better off than ever, while the initial problem this legislation was supposed to solve is left unsolved. Ours is a dying empire. Get yourself ready.

POPSHealth Care Bill Could Face String of Legal Challenges Third, auto insurance regulation occurs at the state level. When the Congressional Budget Office considered the idea of a health insurance mandate back in 1994 under the Clinton administration, it concluded that the mandate would be "an unprecedented form of federal action." The only congressional mandate close to that was the draft, the CBO concluded. Other legal objections are emerging in the wake of a concession that Sen. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., won for his state as a condition for his support of the health care bill. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid agreed to provide for full and permanent federal aid for Nebraska's expanded Medicaid population. It was only one of a slew of hand-crafted sweetheart deals for those senators who agreed to support the bill. Graham said his state could file an equal rights suit under the Constitution. The Constitution calls for "equal protection" of all citizens.

My son & I were discussing this after I had put my Mother to bed. The best way to provide for Congress' Health Care Bill is to limit the number of users. The best way to "help the Planet" is to decrease the population. The best was to "save Social Security" is to eliminate the number of people who need it. I'm not a journalist, an elitist, a Marxist, a numbers-cruncher but even I can see what they are doing. Those who no longer are major contributers to society have no rights in Obama's society.

POPSMandatory Provision of Health Care Bill is Authoritarian, Unconstitutional Both liberals and conservatives are challenging its Constitutionality. To claim to "provide health insurance for thousands of Americans", by simply making it mandatory and threatening a fine (as the Senate bill does) is not a "public service", but tyranny. Listen to this powerful argument, from the left (David Swanson) : The Constitution provides Congress with certain enumerated powers in Article I and explicitly leaves all other powers to the states or the people in the 10th Amendment. So, the constitutional question, for those who still care whether laws are constitutional, is whether the power to force you to buy a horrible product you do not want from a disreputable monopolistic corporation that pays regular bribes to your elected representatives in the form of campaign "contributions" is specifically listed anywhere in Article I. Great point, is it not?
