POPSObama gives International Police immunity from Constitution and Jurisdiction in US exempted Interpol from disclosure of archived document in response to Freedom of Information Act requests filed by U.S. citizens. Think very carefully about what you just read: Obama has given an international law enforcement organization that is accountable to no other national authority the ability to operate as it pleases within our own borders, and he has freed it from the most basic measure of official transparency and accountability, the FOIA. giving Interpol free rein to act within this country could subject U.S. military, diplomatic, and intelligence personnel to the prospect of being taken into custody and hauled before the International Criminal Court as "war criminals."

POPSHealth-care bill lets both parties down The winner is the insurance industry, as anybody who's been watching Washington for a while knew months ago. Just follow the money. The insurance lobby spent far more than any other during the shaping of this disaster, but now they don't look like the bad guys who blocked health care reform. It's a perfect victory for them. Reform passed, goes the headline, but quietly the insurance industry is better off than ever, while the initial problem this legislation was supposed to solve is left unsolved. Ours is a dying empire. Get yourself ready.

POPSI Must Be A Chauvinist
I really don't get why this story is a big deal. So a woman is officiating a college football bowl game. In the grand scheme of football games, I don't really care. But more importantly, in the grand scheme of life, why does EVERYTHING have to be gender equal? Men and women are made differently, think differently, feel differently, respond differently. I have no desire to join any "women's only" organizations, or play in women's only sports and I am sure most men feel the same. We're good with letting things be. We don't feel we're being discriminated against just because there might be a women's only activity. Do you think a man would be allowed to play in...let's say... women's tennis? Would any woman stand for it? And don't give me the silly argument that there is already men's tennis. My point is: "what if a man really wanted to play women's tennis"? If he met the height and weight requirements, could he play? How often have we seen women demand equality in men's activities? I

POPSTime Mag On Why Obama's Iran Effort Failed ~ Tony Karon ….. Prize winning Mohammed Elbaradei? I’m being flip, but really what is the point of blaming the pressure on “skeptics” if the poster boy for Iranian anti-skepticism is now questioning their ambitions? Why not rather say that there is near universal agreement on Iranian intentions in the wake of the discovery of a secret processing site, Iran’s announcement of plans to build more similar sites, and the fact that they’ve been working secretly on nuclear detonators. How did all that stay out of this story?! Anyway, we’ve come to the key graph where the reasons for failure will all become clear: So how did Obama, for all his game-changing intentions, end up inheriting Bush’s Iran stalemate? Two key factors have combined to scupper his diplomatic efforts: Iran’s domestic political year of living dangerously…

POPS US Refuses To Allow Monitoring Of WMD “I knew that I could never again raise my voice against the violence of the oppressed in the ghettos without having first spoken clearly to the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today -- my own government. For the sake of those boys, for the sake of this government, for the sake of hundreds of thousands trembling under our violence, I cannot be silent.” – Martin Luther King in his speech: Beyond Vietnam: A time to break silence

POPSDemocrat Utopia: Free Unicorns for Everyone In addition to spending billions more than it takes in, Michigan's $2.3 billion community health budget, 90 percent of which is Medicaid, will get slammed with an additional $500 million or so by socialized medicine. And that's just part of the problem. Emergency Jobless Claims Hit All-Time High: And I thought President Obama said the economy was recovering. The number you won't hear mentioned anywhere in the Mainstream Media: 327,729. That is how many people shifted to Emergency Unemployment Compensation programs in the last week alone, hitting an all time record high of 4.2 million! Oh, and did you hear? America is broke -- and the Democrats keep spending: Politico's headline reads 'Dems to lift debt ceiling by $1.8 trillion, fear 2010 backlash'. In a nutshell, the Statists are in a central-planning frenzy and won't let up until they control health care and every energy-consuming business in the country:

POPS‘Chicago Man’ Charged In Mumbai Attacks a Pakistani-based militant group. New charges also were unsealed today against a retired major in the Pakistani military, Abdur Rehman, accusing him of conspiracy in planning an attack on a Danish newspaper and some of its employees. Headley and another Chicago man, Tahawwur Hussain Rana, were initially arrested in the Denmark case, charged with plotting an attack on the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten out of revenge for a dozen cartoons printed in 2005 depicting the prophet Muhammad. Rana has denied involvement in a terror plot. Authorities said Headley has been cooperating with investigators since FBI agents arrested him at O’Hare in October. A somewhat misleading headline. But it is even more troubling that we allowed someone like this in our country. http://bit.ly/8eUQuP Sweetness N Light blog Related Articles: * How Pakistan’s ISI Supports The Taliban * Laugh Riot: Muslims Worry About Image * Report: Mumbai Hostages

POPSCome Fry With Me: Mark Steyn Wow. 443,243 miles. How many flying polar bears does Dr. Pachauri kill in an average quarter? Well, not to worry, he probably offsets his record-breaking ursocide with carbon credits from carbon billionaire Al Gore. And in any case it's okay to devastate the planet on IPCC business " plus the occasional cricket match: So strong is his love for cricket that his colleagues recall the time the Nobel winner took a break during a seminar in New York and flew in to Delhi over the weekend to attend a practice session for a match before flying back. Again, he flew in for a day, just to play that match. And why not? Aside from a slight increase in the risk of polar bears dropping from the skies onto stray Indian bowlers and wicket-keepers, where's the harm? P.S. I like the headline on Dr. Pachauri's climate'n'cricket story: "Heat On Cricket Pitch Warms This Climate Change Laureate."
