POPS"...his brain is squirming like a toad." We woke a zombie on the Paxil post. Click link, see twisted thoughts.
In response to my Paxil post -- Is Paxil creating more people who aren’t self-reflective? More “Conservatives Without a Conscience”? Happy Idiots http://bit.ly/4EBV8s -- I received the post below from a real zombie, an actual conservative, with thought patterns similar to Michelle Bauchman, Glenn Beck, Palin, the tea-baggers, all the Republicans (notice how they do everything in unison -- complete authoritarian mind-control. Wow. Scary. Who knows, maybe they are the Borg! (As Palin, would say, *wink*)) Here's my response to his comments below. And remember to be kind to this drug addict. Who knows if he wouldn't be one of us is he wasn't popping that Matrix-promoted soma (Paxil)? My comment to him follows: Sorry to wake you from your Paxil-induced unreality. You remind me of the people I know on Paxil. They see their own traits reflected outside of themselves. As a therapist of 40 years, I'm quite familiar with that. It's called projection. And lacking self-ana

POPSGreed and Hubris Will Kill the Planet Every time you see someone pulling up to an intersection or turning right on red , with one hand on the wheel and the other holding a cell phone, each time someone puts off a repair to "save" money - think about the promises made about the safety of this well, or that gene modification, or the newest wonder drug, pesticide, synthetic whatever.

POPSYou bailed out my mistake, I deserve a bonus for that we (you, I, us, the taxpayers) gave the "too big to fail" banks our money so they wouldn't collapse, collapse under their own weight from their own mistakes created by their own greed, and now that they're solvent again, they're rewarding themselves for the fuck up, instead of paying us back

POPSCursing Capitalism The economy is still imploding, which is bad. I don’t know if Obama will do anything useful since our economy is based on capitalism and he hates capitalism. Also, our economy is in America and he hates that country. And anti-capitalism protesters are sexy hot, don't ya think?

POPSThe Holiday Gift This Country Needs "We also need to invest in our infrastructure, and not just the obvious physical things like our old bridges and trains but more importantly our human infrastructure. We must continue to push for "Medicare Part E - Everybody" - so we can rebuild the social safety net to encourage entrepreneurialism - and along those lines let's fix the bankruptcy bill, and strengthen social security. Finally, we need to think of work differently. Lincoln once said that labor is superior to capital because it precedes it. Nobody gets rich until somebody makes something. We once had an economy that valued laborers - the true producers of wealth - and the middle class. You know. almost everything on this gift list was, in their day, enthusiastically endorsed by Republican Dwight D. Eisenhower. And Barry Goldwater. And Richard Nixon. Somehow this country went insane in 1981 when Reagan took power and declared that "greed was good" and America was to be reinvented."

POPSThe Bondage of Debt of our nation's history. No matter how much money Uncle Sam extracts for his coffers, however, it appears it's never enough. The demand for entitlements continues to grow and liberals in government are only too willing to accommodate that demand by expanding the power of the nanny state. Contemporary society has been taught that when it comes to the world of finance, credit is king. Credit, we are told, is how we finance the good life. When Gordon Gekko told us that greed was good, we apparently believed him, and set about to prove his point. As a nation, we've racked up nearly $12 trillion in debt and have seen the budget deficit soar from $455 billion to $1.4 trillion in the last year alone. And in the same way a strapped homeowner takes out a second mortgage on his house to stave off financial ruin for one more year, Congress has time and again"in the name of the people's "general welfare" no less"voted to take on more and more debt to fund a ballooning list of

POPSNo Place to Run, No Place to Hide - So Stand by Their Side Will people never learn? All along the Ohio River, colon cancer is higher than other parts of the country - two nuclear production facilities from the early 1950s. Out west where they tested the bombs or mined the uranium, more of the same. Those who profit from the greed think they will never have to pay their price too... but they will, if not them, their grandchildren - fools, criminals and...

POPSPeople In “Fat Cat”-Infested Houses Shouldn’t Throw Stones By Michelle Malkin
Immediately after the speech, he headed to a campaign fundraiser at the Manhattan headquarters of Credit Suisse, one of the major investment companies caught up in the subprime lending debacle. In March 2009, Obama assailed the corporate bonuses handed out by bailout recipient AIG"which had been approved by his own handpicked Treasury Secretary and AIG bailout architect Tim Geithner. But let’s not get distracted. Obama blamed “the system and culture that made them possible"a culture where people made enormous sums of money, taking irresponsible risks that have now put the entire economy at risk.” The irresponsible risk-takers at AIG donated $104,332 to Barack Obama in the 2008 federal election cycle. Since 2004, AIG has donated 60 percent of its $2.6 million in political donations to Democrats. Obama kept the corrupted cash. But I digress. “We don’t need these house of cards, these Ponzi schemes, even when they’re legal, where a relatively few do spectacularly well ...

POPSDecember is Prius Owners Intellectual Deficiency Awareness Month Please remember to wear your gray ribbon. I met 2 in one day last week. I actually felt myself get stupider standing next to them. I quickly departed. But, this is no laughing matter, folks. This disease is quickly spread by ignorance, narcissism, arrogance and greed. The only known cure is a drastic increase in IQ, not easily achieved.

POPSCREDIT CARD GREED After charging a couple hundred dollars I noticed they had immediately raised my APR a whopping 5%. If they did this so I would see RED..., they sure knew what they were doing. Because I saw every color in the rainbow! I was so angry that I took the allotted money I had put aside for food and paid them off! Also, gave them a piece of my mind in an email. Anyway, here is my vent to the giant credit card gluttons. More at: http://www.thethinkingblue.com/creditcardgreed.html

POPSAre Goldman Sachs Execs Arming Themselves Against the Public? Goldman Sachs Chief Executive Officer Lloyd Blankfein also reversed himself after having previously called Goldman’s greed “God’s work” and apologized earlier this month for having participated in things that were “clearly wrong.” Has it really come to this? Imagine what emotions must be billowing through the halls of Goldman Sachs to provoke the firm into an apology.Talk that Goldman bankers might have armed themselves in self-defense would sound ludicrous, were it not so apt a metaphor for the way that the most successful people on Wall Street have become a target for public rage. Comment on SC submitted by popetodd "I think they know something we don't just yet know. Like when it is all going to come apart at the seams."

POPS The $50 Billion New Socialist Media
As Accuracy in Media was the first to disclose, McChesney recently introduced Obama's anti-American pastor Jeremiah Wright at a celebration of the socialist publication Monthly Review. Wright praised Marxism and called America "land of the greed and home of the slave." McChesney has provided a platform for representatives of the left-wing media watchdog organization that also calls itself Media Matters. Topics have included "How hate talk radicalized the American right," "How the press rolled over for Bush," and "What liberal media?" The entire thrust of the program is that the media are too conservative and too "capitalist." No Fairness Or Balance Here The one-sided nature of the show is ironic since Free Press regularly attacks Fox News for not being truly "fair and balanced." Indeed, when one of its former board members, Van Jones, was being exposed on Fox News for his communist views and background, Free Press said this "visionary and principled" leader

POPSGoldman Sachs Is Arming Themselves Against Angry Mobs. Guilty Conscience? POPSStacking The Deck Against Kids "We still have a hideously dysfunctional public education system, one that has mastered the art of manufacturing dropouts and functional illiterates. We have not even begun to turn that around. We still keep fighting tragic, futile, stupid wars, squandering lives and resources and creative energies that could be put to use right here at home, where the need for nation-building is beyond critical. The U.S. should be a paradise for young people. We need big changes in this country, approaches that are constructive, creative and fundamentally new, if we’re going to give those smiling kids I saw on Thanksgiving Day the kind of society they deserve. " And those are what I call Family Values.
