I find this collaborative work inspiring, in relation to how humanity can unite in creating a win win situation for all.

POPSWhat if everyone had only 1 phone number? With the introduction of Google Voice, it seems that we could all have 1 master phone number that we give out...and then that phone number will be used to ring all our numbers when it's called. I'm too tired to think of the negatives of this, but seems like it could be very helpful.

POPSGoogle tells engineers to slow down. "They created a bunch of crap that they have no idea what to do with," said Rob Enderle, principal analyst of the Enderle Group." I think this is big news. Their approach has always been to give engineers freedom (if not incentive) to innovate. Will be fascinating to see how this affects the culture inside google.

POPSGoogle Chrome is here This is just the beginning -- Google Chrome is far from done. We're releasing this beta for Windows to start the broader discussion and hear from you as quickly as possible. We're hard at work building versions for Mac and Linux too, and will continue to make it even faster and more robust. We owe a great debt to many open source projects, and we're committed to continuing on their path. We've used components from Apple's WebKit and Mozilla's Firefox, among others -- and in that spirit, we are making all of our code open source as well. We hope to collaborate with the entire community to help drive the web forward.
