POPSGoogle Chrome Syncs Bookmarks Almost Instantly While the new bookmark sync feature is welcome, it’s only part of the puzzle. Cookies, passwords, and more is what users will expect. Browser and search history are likely desirable bits of data too, but Google offers the option to provide the search history, regardless of browser. chrome-bookmark-syncI’d expect most of these additional sync points to be worked out in time for the Chrome OS " the platform is meant to power companion computers, and what better devices would benefit from an immersive browser sync experience?

POPSFCC Backs Google/Soros ‘Net Neutrality’ Internet providers in the past have rejected what they see as government interference in their networks and how they manage traffic. The US Congress has also been looking into the issue and a net neutrality bill is expected to be introduced shortly in the House of Representatives. POPSTea Party Activist Uses Racist Picture of Obama Experience some of the tea party activists up close and personal as I have done and you won't be the least bit surprised that one prominent member of their "movement" fowarded this racist picture of President Obama. It was supposed to be "funny stuff." But pressed on what was funny about an image that plays on racist stereotypes about Africans, McKalip declined to say, instead offering to talk about why he opposes Obama's health-care proposals. "I have a busy day," he said eventually, before ending the call.

POPSGoogle Looks to Campuses for 'Cloud' Converts I still think Nicholas Carr was right on point with his book, The Big Switch. The IT departments will soon shrink or disappear. Personally I think one step further is people will start becoming free of their desktops and look more to mobile and netbooks or tablets and work in new and improved ways. Cube life is non-productive as are crowded classrooms and lecture halls. Smaller, distributed classes with real-world meetups whe needed. Perhaps it will also force companies to push departments to collaborate better.

POPSUSA Apology Tour Continues
I could go on, but you get the drift. The industrialized world has brought a cornucopia of goodness to the world, the entire world. Indeed, the US, Europe and Japan have lavished literally trillions less fortunate countries over the past 60 years. These people are an embarrassment, and hopefully they are on their way out: Obama continues to be comparatively popular. But now recent national surveys have shown a measurable drop in his job approval rating, even among Democrats. A CBS news survey out this week had his national approval rating at 57 percent, and his standing among Democrats down 10 percentage points since last month, from 92 percent to 82 percent. (Source: AP Google) The more they talk and spend, the worse it gets for them. Hopefully, three and a half years from now, the only apology we will be making is for unleashing a plague of historically-ignorant guilty elitists upon the benighted peoples of the world. POPSIsrael Launches New Propaganda campaign 'Hasbara' Several pro-Israeli public relations organizations also work for Hasbara and are involved in intensive letter-writing and talk-back radiocall campaigns aimed at challenging any views critical of Tel Aviv. Many journalists covering the Middle East will confirm that this area is one of the touchiest in regard to hyper-sensitive lobby groups. Editors too are regular recipients of a flurry of mail protesting any articles deemed too critical of Israel. Students, supportive of Israel, on university campuses throughout the United States have also been supplied with the Hasbara Handbook, which details how to promote Israel and counter criticism of the country.

POPSCut Off Your Nose To Spite Your Face (continued) Along with, signing numerous petitions and writing letters to our public officials concerning this stupid-make-no-sense-at-all, law we are forced to live under... Still, even though we are sliding into an abyss of financial ruin, STILL, this archaic law stands antagonistically, in our faces, unrelenting and challenging us to break the law. I know we humans have built an enormous (out of control) political machine called "living", but someone, somewhere must poke their conditioned mind outside the culture box and question ... "I think there is something wrong with this picture." Until that time, I will go on signing petitions, writing letters and contributing small amounts to any organization (i.e. MMP) who is unafraid to demand that this law be eradicated and marijuana become available legally... thinkingblue http://thinkingblue.blogspot.com/2009/07/cutting-off-your-nose-to-spite-your.html

POPSHumans filtering for humans - now why didn't i think of that? Ok, i'd by lying if i didn't acknowledge a little bit of frustration these days. With everyone jumping on the concept of human filtered search, i can't help but feel a little bit of "wtf do you think clipmarks.com has been doing for years?". That said, i suppose the time has come when the market is listening to this kind of talk so we better make sure we're in the conversation.

POPSTwitter Search to make broader sweeps Something significant is happening everyday. I found this out from an Ed Goldstein retweet of a Clip on Amplify. The self-signifying collaborative consciousness is at its baby-talk stage. Soon some form of grammar will have to evolve if any sense is to be made of the torrents of data.

POPSThis is the Best Email Program Ever! I never thought anything could be better than GMAIL, that was until Zenbe came along. I've been using it for 6 months now and rarely go into any of my GMAIL OR YAHOO accounts, since I can access and write all from my Zenbe account. My friends don't know the difference, since my gmail and yahoo addresses still show up in their normal emails. The ZEN Pages are to die for, they are ideal for managing multiple group projects, which make life a lot easier. "TRY IT, YOU WILL DEFINITELY LOVE IT!".
