POPSLike Convergence, Aggregation Is Better In Theory an interesting take, see what Louis Gray says at the end:" I have to believe that aggregation tools are interesting, and useful to a small minority of people. Lifestreaming tools are fun for individuals to highlight their activity. Sites are out there that do a good job, and more are coming, but I am thinking that "aggregation" is the new "convergence". It looks great on paper, and some people will carry a Swiss Army Knife with them everywhere, but most won't.

POPS What The Russian Papers Say
..... into its project for a new world order. To do so, it wants to transform the alliance. Though NATO's role is still to defend Europe from Russia, its other function is gradually coming to the fore - that of being an instrument to use force outside Europe. The U.S. and Europe consider Russia "harmless" and weak and believe NATO can refocus on supporting American policy outside Europe. In exchange, Russia is offered the West's recognition of the status quo in Europe and postponement of admission to NATO of Ukraine and other former Soviet republics. Russia has been recognized as a regional power, but only to a certain extent and only in exchange for its help. These arrangements will stand as long as the U.S. is interested in cooperation with Moscow on specific issues. The current session of cooperation with NATO is unlikely to bring Moscow long-term military and political dividends - particularly in the face of growing risks from further involvement in Afghanistan.

POPSExclusive: Andrew Breitbart Announces Launch of New “Big” Sites
In an exclusive interview with Mediaite, Breitbart shares his vision for his expanding network of “Big” right-of-center sites: Though he’s not exactly a household name, Breitbart has long been a power player in the sphere of Internet influence and opinion. While he may be best known for serving as an editor for The Drudge Report, he also served as an early researcher and developer for The Huffington Post. Since setting out on his own, he’s created a number of sites: Breitbart.com is the core site, aggregating countless headlines from dozens of sites and newswires in real time; BreitbartTV performs a similar function with videos; and Big Hollywood and Big Government are conservative group blogs which cover entertainment and government policy, respectively. In a phone interview with Mediaite, Breitbart says that his new sites will continue to “fight the mainstream media " New York Times, Washington Post, LA Times, CBS, ABC, NBC, MSNBC, and CNN "

POPSGoogle Unleashes Its Own Public DNS Be very afraid. Just kidding. Well, half kidding. It could very well be the standard from the get-go, due to Google brand name backing and the easy to remember 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 addresses. Do you want Google to know every single web site and page you have visited? Some people may not care, but some people concerned with privacy may disagree. If you're already a huge Google fan and first-mover, then you probably don't really care that they can read your email, office documents, calendar, voice mail, health records, and have a picture of your house.
