POPSSome more changes for Clipmarks So, last week we went live with Clipmarks 3.0; a HUGE set of new features, functionality and user interface changes. This was definitely the most challenging time we ever experienced, as it literally felt like there were a million pieces to the assemble. Overall, I feel really good about how everything went. That said, there were a few things I wish we handled better. Tonight, we’re introducing the first in a series of updates aimed at improving upon the initial release of V3.0. These are based in large part on amazing feedback we received from our users. Thank you to everyone for giving us your feedback and caring so much about Clipmarks. We’ve got a lot more coming… Clip on!

POPSThe Importance of Having Friends Who Disagree Many people make the mistake of surrounding themselves with people who think exactly like them and reinforce every idea or prejudice they have. This is a bad mistake and will often end up distorting the reality you see. One may end up with a "fan club" that just reinforces your prejudices. So do a quick test right now. Make a list of your closest friends/acquintances/advisors. Then make a separate list of those who think totally differently from you, but are worth listening to anyway. Look at the intersection of these lists. You may be surprised.

(Feel free to say nicer things about a person behind their back than to their face.) # Don't gossip and don't have a big mouth. # Never judge other people harsher than you judge yourself. # Forgive, but never forget. # Don't have skeletons in your closet. # Keep as few secrets as reasonably possible. # Despite the rule before this one, keep your friends' secrets. # Privately question your own values. # Avoid questioning other people's values, especially in public. # Listen more than you talk. # Never tell other people that you think they or something they are doing is immoral or sinful. # Keep your moral values and religion to yourself. Use them to direct your own actions. # Don't be camera shy. # Say "I love you" often.

I've done a lot of writing about my perspective on ClipCast, but i just read some really insightful comments by ouyangwulong that said it better than i have been able to. Wanted to share them with everyone by clipping them. Thank you ouyangwulong. Not just for having such a positive perspective on it, but for truly tapping into and expressing the essence of what it's all about. It was truly a great feeling to read your comments. POPSWild-Eyed Bush Thumping Chest: "I Am the President" The comments about the other ranting in the article: ome big money players up from Texas recently paid a visit to their friend in the White House. The story goes that they got out exactly one question, and the rest of the meeting consisted of The President in an extended whine, a rant, actually, about no one understands him, the critics are all messed up, if only people would see what he’s doing things would be OK…etc., etc. This is called a “bunker mentality” and it’s not attractive when a friend does it. When the friend is the President of the United States, it can be downright dangerous. Apparently the Texas friends were suitably appalled, hence the story now in circulation.
