by egsnyder  11-2-2008
Freecycle is great. But if you want to cover all your bases and get quickest results, you need to consider other gifting resources: fullcircles.org, reuseitnetwork.org; kijiji; usedeverywhere.com; etc.

An imaginative use for your garage: car storage
egsnyder
by egsnyder  5-15-2008
Although this article was written four years ago in 2004, it is perhaps even more valid today in 2008. The article mentions giving things away on Freecycle. Since 2004, the freecycling idea has caught on... big time. There are many other networks now: fullcircles.org; reuseitnetwork.org. Over 5 million people in 88 countries are using these networks to declutter, and simplify their living spaces and their lives.

As a veteran of too many moves, we've always discovered AFTER WE MOVE that we have too much stuff! When it comes off the van, we typically discover we've got a lot of stuff we didn't know we had; stuff we don't need; stuff we don't even want! It's just amazing how much stuff we humans accumulate! This little article is worth reading a few weeks BEFORE you move!
