POPSUnity at Last: Democrats Join Calls for Napolitano to Step Down Following Failed Attack " New Jersey State Senate President Richard Codey, a Democrat, wrote a letter to Napolitano this week calling on her to step down. He said Napolitano, an attorney and former Arizona governor, does not have the experience for the post she is in. "We should have someone who doesn't need to go in there and learn about terrorism, learn about security," Codey told Fox News. " Ok, well, if Codey really means that, shouldn't OBAMA be on his way as well???

POPSThreats to Yemen Prove America Hasn't Learned the Lesson of History It used to be that it was considered unwise to open conflict on two fronts at once. It won't be long before the terrorists figure out that it is much easier and more effective to explode their bombs in airports before going through "security". Rule number one when dealing with hornets is not to stir them up. (Thanks to Liam Fox for the link.)

POPSObama Takes Break From Vacation To Let Us Know He Won't Rest! in the bathroom of a Detroit-bound Northwest Airlines flight on Sunday. Several police vehicles and a police command unit have surrounded a plane at Detroit’s Metro Airport, after the pilot of a Detroit-bound Northwest Airlines flight requested emergency help. Two sources tell Fox News that the suspect boarded a plan in Lagos with no baggage, and said the FBI has already sent an email alert to other federal agencies notifying them of the incident. The source said the man taken into custody at the Detroit airport was a Nigerian man in his 30s. Federal officials know who the suspect is, but won’t provide any more details. He allegedly barricaded himself in the plane’s bathroom for an hour. There are some reports suggesting that the Nigerian man may have just been a sick passenger. Why the hell would anyone travel international so light? No luggage should have been the first red flag. http://deadenders.wordpress.com/

POPSWhile terrorists plot, the FAA parties I saw some undercover clips of the partying on Fox and heard this story. This all says a lot about the current culture and seriousness in the minds of those who are paid (nicely) to see that our citizens are safe while they fly in our skies. Forget the parties, the bonuses for CEOs and "managers"; instead let's pay the scanners, the mechanics, and builders of our planes what they're really worth.

POPSCross The River, Burn The Bridge by Mark Steyn
There is no reason on earth why Nebraska should be the only state in this Union to have every dime of its increased Medicare tab picked up by the 49 others. So either that privilege will be extended to all, or to favored others, or its asymmetry will be balanced by other precisely targeted lollipops hither and yon. Whatever happens, it’s a dagger at the heart of American federalism, just as the bill’s magisterial proclamation that the Independent Medicare Advisory Board can only be abolished by a two-thirds vote of the Senate strikes at one of the most basic principles of a free society " that no parliament can bind its successors. These details are obnoxious not merely in and of themselves but because they tell us the truth about where we’re headed: Think of the way almost every Big Government project bursts its bodice and winds up bigger and more bloated than its creators allegedly foresaw. In this instance, the stays come pre-loosened, and studded with loopholes.

POPS2010-The Year of the AWAKENING I’ve always been a fan of Mr. Rogers. His trip around the world on a Motorcycle is an experience in itself. What an adventure that must have been. As for Bernanke and Greenspan, Jim is so correct. Bernanke is just one of many from Goldman Sachs that now is part of the Obama the Joker administration. Bernanke is just helping out his fat cat friends the same that Obama claims to be opposed to. What a charade. I love Jim Rogers sense of humour , I usually follow all his interviews from this blog http://www.JimRogers.tk

POPSSacramento-area farmers grow heirloom wheat
More: Sonora wheat was once one of the most popular wheat varieties grown in one of the biggest wheat states in America—California. In fact, Sonora wheat from California was considered of such high quality that most of it was exported to England. The change to hammermill processing, and the corresponding change to wheat types that grow well in Midwestern conditions, were a factor in the demise of California wheat farming. Midwestern wheat is generally higher in phytates, which are bitter to the taste, which was an issue for Fox. “I hated whole wheat. It was bitter and awful, and I really preferred spelt. But I went crazy for this wheat,” she says. Fox promptly began growing Sonora wheat for seed, and just eight years later, she estimates that there are at least 15 farmers in the greater Sacramento area growing this variety, including Full Belly Farm, which offers flour from Sonora wheat at farmers’ markets and through their community-supported agriculture boxes.

POPSCowell to Quit Idol? Ahh, it's about time. I have never been an Idol fan, or watcher for that matter. When I have watched, like most I tend to disagree with Cowell. But that's the shtick anyway: we're supposed to disagree with him. It's what has made people watch. It seems the shtick may be getting old though. Is due to the fact that people get bored with a regular visitor to their house that they disagreed with?

POPSReid'$ Legalized Prostitution MEET$ "The Chicago Way" Pay Off$ The deal is for Ben Nelson, forever and forever, Amen. Forever and ever and only for Nebraska! Nebraska will never have to pick up an share of the Medicaid amount due because Ben Nelson sold his soul. As stated on Fox, this is going to outrage an awful lot of people. The response, it already has. How can states that may already be in fiscal trouble be responsible to pay for another states Medicaid obligation. FOREVER!!! Read the text of the bill at Big Government.com (http://bit.ly/8gOike) where every other state in the United States will have to pay for Nebraska’s Medicaid. “As part of the deal to win Democratic Sen. Ben Nelson’s support, the federal government will fund Nebraska’s new Medicaid recipients. It’s a provision worth about $45 million over the first decade.” (Chris Frates, “Ben Nelson’s Medicaid deal,” Politico, 12/19/09)
