POPSEstrus exists. Girls that are about to produce an egg are found to be more attractive in men's perception. Which means when you really really want to fuck that girl, that means she's gonna make you a baby daddy.

POPSSexy? plain? who chooses? "In women, preferences for male faces, voices, body odors and behavior change over the course of the menstrual cycle as estrogen levels rise and fall. Our work with these songbirds shows a possible neural basis for those changes" Put aside the specific hormone, what is pointed here is how much happens in the background of one's perception, that has control of what is perceived as very real.... and the 'changes' that we experience must be doubted.

POPSThe Wild Side Wow! Asexuality is a difficult concept for me to grasp, but I love to be blinded by science instead of hormones for a change. :)

POPSOnce Endangered, Now Recovering hunters were taking the canary-yellow young langurs from their cliff-face strongholds, and villagers were leveling the forest for firewood. Dr. Pan quickly hired wardens to protect the remaining animals but then went a step further, taking on the larger social and economic factors jeopardizing the species. Dr. Pan recognized the animal’s origin myth as legend, but he also believed that alleviating the region’s continuing poverty was essential for their long-term survival. In the 24-square-kilometer nature reserve where he has focused his studies, the langur population increased to more than 500 today from 96 in 1996.

POPSMore than just supporting abortion "Killing alive unborn children in females’ bodies is bad enough, but Barack Obama went even further, to defend the killing via neglect of alive BORN children. It is downright ghoulish that he is proud of that record and is still trying to spin his deceit in the Saddleback interview."

POPSNot Seen on CNN: Denver Police Gitmo Tactics They took us in an elevator that went up to a jail cell, and we were told to watch a video of a judge telling us our rights, through the bars. It was surreal, like being in a futuristic movie, like "1984" or "A Clockwork Orange." They'd keep us for long periods of time in one cage, and then re-handcuff us and move us to another cell, as if something was about to change, but it didn't. It was all psychological.

POPSIs it so different? "After the female deposits her unfertilized eggs into the male, the outer shell of the eggs breaks down, and tissue from the male grows up around the eggs in the pouch. After fertilizing the eggs, the male closely controls the prenatal environment of the embryos in his pouch. The male keeps blood flowing around the embryos, controls the salt concentrations in the pouch, and provides oxygen and nutrition to the developing offspring through a placenta-like structure until he gives birth." " in some species of pipefish, the sex roles are reversed because males become pregnant and there is limited brood pouch space. So females compete for access to available males, and thus secondary sex traits (such as brightly colored ornamentation) evolve in female pipefish instead of males."

POPSCradle of maternity in the brain discovered The study also showed that a partial restoration of Pet-1 function in the developing brain of females partially restored their serotonin levels, and maternal behaviour in adulthood. The finding indicated that subtle changes in the embryonic formation of the brain serotonin system in females could impact the quality of the maternal care they later provide for their offspring. The researchers say that future studies with Pet-1 deficient mothers may help to further elucidate the link between serotonin and maternal behaviour, and lead to the development of new therapeutic approaches for treatment of post-partum depression and child neglect.

POPSFemale Mosquitoes: Out for Blood Many people don't believe me when I say that it's only the female mosquitoes- not the males- that will bite you and suck your blood. But here Wikipedia, the most reputable of sources, proves me to be correct.
