POPSHow China Sabotaged Climate Talks & Shifted Blame On Obama
Why should rich countries not announce even this unilateral cut? "The Chinese delegate said no, and I watched, aghast, as Merkel threw up her hands in despair and conceded the point. Now we know why - because China bet, correctly, that Obama would get the blame for the Copenhagen accord's lack of ambition. "But I saw Obama fighting desperately to salvage a deal, and the Chinese delegate saying "no", over and over again." Lynas says the 2020 peaking year was then "replaced by woolly language" and the global 50 per cent cuts by 2050 were also removed. "No-one else, perhaps with the exceptions of India and Saudi Arabia, wanted this to happen," Lynas said. 'Took the bait' Lynas fears "the truth about what actually happened is in danger of being lost amid the spin and inevitable mutual recriminations". "China's strategy was simple: block the open negotiations for two weeks, and then ensure that the closed-door deal made it look as if the west had failed the world

POPSCOP15 Attendees Arrive In Limousines To Sit In Eco-Friendly Chairs While they hobnob around Copenhagen in gas guzzling limousines, enjoy only the finest chow and booze, remember what their ultimate goal is. Environmentalists consider their Final Solution to be based on science, but it’s really all about them. It always has been, and what are a few million dead black babies if they get to save the planet so they can rule it….

POPSHOUSE OF FOOLS Get Out And Vote The European Union has an unelected President. The Security Counsel of the United Nations was not elected. Climate Change leaders are not elected, not democratic, not basing their decisions of science. Ponder for a moment. Why do they want your money if they can't save the world. ALL IS VANITY. Climate Change taxes are fraudulent. Don't give them your money unless they can save the world (which they can't). I believe that Kyoto was designed to keep the whole continent of Africa in a state of servitude because it thwarts it's development.

POPSLoon Alert: Canadian writer thinks China's Infanicide is sound ENVIRO policy
Children are an inheritance from the Lord. They are a reward from him. The children born to a man when he is young are like arrows in the hand of a warrior. Blessed is the man who has filled his quiver with them. He will not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the city gate. Psalms 127:3-5 (GW) The environmentalist movement is anti-human life as this article proves. For anyone to think that regulating a man's family by denying them the basic human right to reproduce is insane. To think that trees and lakes, and birds and bees take precedence over human life is appalling. And yet this idea of population control is growing more pervasive throughout the environmental movement. We see it's tentacles extended in our own country as congress debates their HEALTH CARE take-over legislation. The idea that there would be public policy implemented to curtail or control costs of providing health care to the sick based upon some arbitrary assessment as to life value is insane!

POPSBritain's Lord Monckton Warns About Dangers of Climate Change Treaty - Video 10/30/09
Bolton thinks the treaty is dangerous, but is not prepared to go as far as Monckton yet. But he said it does have the potential to do great damage. Even if Obama signs it, it would require a two-thirds vote of the U.S. Senate to ratify the treaty and make us bound to the terms. Fascinating discussion. The Amazing Story Behind the Global Warming Scam By John Coleman January 28, 2009 (Revised and edited February 11, 2009) Back in the 1960s, this global warming research came to the attention of a Canadian born United Nation's bureaucrat named Maurice Strong. He was looking for issues he could use to fulfill his dream of one-world government. Strong organized a World Earth Day event in Stockholm, Sweden in 1970. From this he developed a committee of scientists, environmentalists and political operatives from the UN to continue a series of meetings. Strong developed the concept that the UN could demand payments from the advanced nations for the climatic

POPS Let Them Eat Dirt from the report. But the mainstream media did not report these conflicts and instead piled on the "global warming" and "carbon offset" bandwagons. The carbon offset market quickly exploded. In fact, $92 billion worth of offsets were estimated to change hands in 2008. But wanton profiteering appears to be the sole rationale for "carbon trading". Put simply, a wide range of respected scientists, environmentalists, researchers, agriculturalists, and activists believe that carbon offsets are a "scam", "fantasy", "fiction", "nonsense", "fraudulent" and worse. And they've been saying so since 2000, though to read the newspaper you wouldn't know it. The World Rainforest Movement, for example, investigated these bizarre financial ties and concluded that the IPCC report must "...be shelved due to their clear conflict of interest and a new report instigated which will be free of the taint of intellectual corruption."

POPSDesk-Bound Journalists Blow Hopi and Navajo Green Stories It is sad to see what damage can be done when some journalists take to rewriting company PR. The hard work of Hopi and Navajo people to save their land and heritage is easily overlooked and set back by those who have degrees in journalism process but no on-the-ground knowledge about anything or the gumption to get at all sides of a story.

POPSAsylum for those who push GM food and us from them GM food sounds so attractive until you think about this: Is Monsanto, Bayer, or whomever big corp thinking first about 1. their profit; 2. people's health; 3. dangers to the environment; 4. making crops and farmers more susceptible to crop collapse due to unforeseen or unintended consequences. Who did not vote for #1 as their first priority? What works best for profit is to plant all the same crop - right. What works best for a new insect, fungus, or bacteria - humans plant all the same crop.

POPSHopi Moved to Side with Coal Power Over Its Culture Sad. When marginalized indigenous peoples are forced to extend their marginalization out of need for money to survive in a world not of their making. There are Hopi who warned of this when Hopi and other indigenous peoples were forced by the US to adopt US self-government forms and discard their traditional ways of governing themselves. In the end culture is all a people have to support their sanity and survival - that applies to us as well. Money does not equal culture!

POPSThe Dust Storm Saga We here are still engulfed by dust and smoke from fires. The dust carried all the way to the very top of queensland and across the ocean to kiwi land. People here have no idea how much is dust and how much smoke. There is a difference though our skies are a white haze - so the sun looks like the moon and I wrote to friends and said, "I feel like I am on the moon looking at the moon's moon." Strange is an understatement. The second photo is one I took today we are almost into a whole week of the dust, haze storm. Personally, I have not been too affected by it. This article from BBC is interesting though. We had floods earlier this year that flooded 60% of Queensland. A good friend here, has a husband who works in a mine inland. The Environmental Protection Agency called for it to be closed down because the tailings dam was overflowing into the main water catchment for the town and all the towns further downstream. It had a pH of 2.

They have called for tighter controls on farming.

POPSProposed Power Corridor Raises Eminent Domain Concerns in Six States
In addition to concerns expressed by farmers, local businesses relying on eco-tourism are opposed to the lines, which they fear would permanently blight places of significance like Harriet Tubman's birthplace and the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. Landowners, environmentalists and businesses that oppose the power line are urging representatives to consider alternatives, such as wind power or burying the lines. If the project is rejected at the State level, PHI could invoke federal eminent domain powers, under the Energy Policy Act of 2005: In the event that the Mid-Atlantic Power Pathway is not approved by the Maryland Public Service Commission, PHI would be able use the power of eminent domain under Federal authority. Section 1221 of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 provides authority for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to review and override state siting decisions as well as other federal and state laws and policy and . . . .
