POPSD&D master Gary Gygax was a nerd's nerd Gygax was 69 when he died - a pretty good roll when you're trying to hit a troll with a two-handed sword, but much too young to leave the real world behind. As for the fantasy worlds he created, they have expanded, flourished and become a part of everyday life. And they're all a tribute to the original dungeon master.

POPSEvil: A How-To Guide From the source: Being an Evil Overlord seems to be a good career choice. It pays well, there are all sorts of perks and you can set your own hours. However every Evil Overlord I've read about in books or seen in movies invariably gets overthrown and destroyed in the end. I've noticed that no matter whether they are barbarian lords, deranged wizards, mad scientists or alien invaders, they always seem to make the same basic mistakes every single time. More there. Rumor has it that Dick Cheney had this list posted in his undisclosed location.

POPSGaming On A Saturday Night Anyone? No longer hiding in your parents basement playing Dungeon and Dragons anymore are you? Nope you now do your gaming in a world that is made up of ones and zeros. Oh geeks of yore that once rolled the dice and played the card you now develop c. tunnel syndrome due to abuse of the mouse and the joy stick (get your mind out of the gutter). I salute you and your never ending quest in the search for magical mystical games, and the passing of the torch to the web 2.0 generation. Be proud, play loud, and don't piss-off the Dungeon Master.

POPSDungeons & Dragons Creator Dies Long before the creation of Second Life and World of Warcraft, the preferred realm of geeks seeking an escape from reality was D&D. Sad to see this guy go.
