POPSSponsored search results lead to malware If you're not sure, verify the URL. Microsoft and Google have large payrolls, but the search giants don't employ literal armies to review ad submissions. If you're at all suspicious of an ad's legitimacy, check the URL via a service such as hpHosts, which tracks domain names that researchers have reported as malicious. Help vendors by reporting malicious advertisers. To report bogus ads on Google, e-mail security at google.com. This is likely to be more effective than reporting the site via the search giant's online form. If you discover malware purveyors advertising in Bing's results, e-mail secure at microsoft.com. Yahoo, however, offers only a Security Phishing Report Form.

POPSAn Opinion I Agree With....The USA The internet needs to remain a place of open knowledge, free speech and uncensored information. Most of the world has some form of censorship imposed on it's citizens. In the US, the MSM feeds us what they think we 'need to know' (hence the over-coverage of Brittney and Lindsey) and puts their own spin on the important stories (such as Gitmo). The internet allows us to sort, digest, and learn and form our own opinions. If a body, like the UN, takes control of domain naming, etc... we may lose that ability. As a citizen of a free country, I'm not willing to give up my rights to appease countries that don't respect them.

POPSChanges Approved Allowing Hundreds of New Domain Names It's about time! They are also looking to clamp down on the "domain tasters" who tie up domain names seeing what the traffic is for certain names, and then they buy the domain and hold out for the highest bidders. This is why a lot of brand names are at strange named domains ... their domain name was already bought by an investor, and they would not pay the price to buy the domain name.

POPSDomain Name Portfolio now here is a really cool bit of opensource software. So easy to template and modify. Could probably develop this a lot more too.

POPSGOOGLEWHACK! I first heard of this through Dave Gormans stand up show. Then tried my hand at it, was not too successful, pity for me.

POPSSouth Carolina Portal site This is a really cool site I came across that is like a portal for all things South Carolina, all their domain names end in ".SC" which is completly awesome. Its a great resource if you live in South Carolina or are going to relocate there.
