POPSRadical Imam: Somalis Leaving Minnesota For Jihad Shaba says he and his three teenage sons attended a program two months ago at Abubaker As-Saddique Islamic Center, where a former Somali warrior sat in a circle with other young people and delivered a passionate recitation of his experiences during the Somali civil war. When the brainwashing is done and the teachers are confident students will do anything asked of them, the teachers give them tazkia, or clearance, to get more specialized training in the United States or abroad, Shaba says. "The people who trained us encouraged us to not get married, to sever our ties with our families, so that when the mission comes we won't worry about family." Shaba says similar activities occur at Minnesota Da'wah Institute in St. Paul, another mosque. Sheik Mahamud Hassan, the institute's imam, says nothing like that is happening as his mosque. "It's liars," he says. "I'm not missing any members."

POPSThe End Of Rakan Hassan's War said he suspects insurgents put a bomb in or next to the house. He believes the house was targeted either because of his associations with the Iraqi government or because the family had accepted help for Rakan from Americans. But the truth is, we don't know why. We only know Rakan is dead. Larry Ronan has been heartsick for weeks, as he awaited final word. I have been, too. Ronan is a doctor at Massachusetts General Hospital with thousands of patients, but for six months in fall 2005 and winter 2006 you would have thought his only patient was Rakan. Rakan's case caught the eye of humanitarians because his shooting was captured in a series of haunting photographs by Chris Hondros, a photographer for Getty Images who was embedded with the platoon from the First Brigade of the 25th Infantry Division, which opened fire on a car they thought was carrying suicide bombers.Continued...

POPSDoctor Suicide and Future Doctors Fixing symptoms with pharma is not for the soul of the healer. The Doctor of today is becoming like a preprogrammed vending machine. Again, this can't be good for the heart of a healer. Thomas Edison said, "The doctors of the future will give no medicine but will interest their clients in the care of the human frame and in the cause and prevention of disease." Those times are coming. Go to http://www.mynetimpact.com Login and enter Visitor ID 1302785 and look for the audio of the Doctors panel on the left. These doctors are alive with the hope of helping those who depend on them, to regain health and vitality. The future doctors are arriving.

POPSStarving GAZA Rats bit Hand that doesn't Feed them!
"Three Palestinian resistance groups have claimed responsibility for the Dimona bombing, including the Al-Aqsa Martyrs brigades, an off-shot of Fatah, led by President Mahmoud Abbas, the Abu Ali Mustafa brigades, the armed wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and a new group called the national resistance brigades. In a joint statement, faxed to the press, the three groups named the suicide bombers as Mosa Arafat from Khan Younis, and Loay al-Aghwani from Gaza city. Al-Aqsa Martyrs brigades, Fatah's armed wing, held a press conference in Gaza, stating that today's attack is a part of Palestinian resistance operations which will continue "as long as the Israeli occupation continues attacks on the Palestinian people." Abu Alwalid, spokesperson of the Al-Aqsa brigades, speaking to reporters on Monday said, " we confirm that this operation has been already planned since December of last year, and it was about to be carried out on December 20th, yet it has bee

POPSSigns Of Suicide Depression and PTSD affect so many people. Some see suicide as the only option, the only cure. It isn't. Too many people choose this last resort. Many soldiers returning from war are at risk too. Be aware of what to look for. It could save lives.

POPSA Virginia Court In Essence Has Made Doctors Treating Pain, Criminals As a chronic pain patient I am appalled that doctors who are sincerely trying to help their patients who suffer from this debilitating and life altering condition are being treated like common street drug pushers. The U.S. has gone insane with their misguided war on drugs. Compassionate doctors will rot in jail as their patients writhe in pain or commit suicide. Does this make any sense to anyone? I certainly hope not!

POPSTolerance vs. Intolerance Doctor 1: "I believe that the problem is focused on your gall bladder. We are going to have to remove it." Doctor 2: "No! The evidence clearly shows that this condition is caused by a bacteria. We should start the patient on antibiotics" Doctor 1: "I do not see why you militant bacterialists simply refuse to tolerate the opinions of us defective organists. We have as much of a right to our opinion as you do. We have a sick patient here. We should learn to tolerate each other's beliefs and work together." I don't know about you, but as soon as I heard Doctor 1 make that statement, I'm firing him as my doctor. Clearly, he does not understand what medicine is about and that treating a patient involves finding the best treatment based on the available evidence.

POPSKevorkian to Be Paroled in June My mother had hyperkalemia last year due to a rare side effect of her blood pressure medicine. Her potassium levels were over .7 and it was a miracle she didn't die. The doctor at the hospital told us Dr. Kevorkian used high doses of potassium to kill his patients.
