POPSMandatory flu vaccination splits Healthcare workers If I were in their position I too would be outraged. Half of the Doctors I have talked too are not even recommending for their patients and certainly our pediatricians are saying not to get the H1N1 for our kids, which we had not planned to do anyway. If I was these doctors and nurses I would just not get it as the state is just asking for a huge shortage of nurses and docs by doing this. Society needs the nurses and docs, they don't necessarily need to stay at these jobs.

Is it just that those who oppose the President want to win by trying to make him lose? Weird country this - at times like these. POPSObama slashes Medicare in 2010 for Heart, Cancer Docs -- Media Silent And while Obama and his Democrat allies in Congress try to ram a multi-trillion, socialized medicine program down the throats of the American people, the separate 2010 Medicare spending proposal has received almost no media attention. Announced July 1, it proposes to slash reimbursements to cardiologists and oncologists by more than 10% each . Consider, for a moment, that the number of American senior citizens (65 and over) is soaring and medical specialists were already projected to be in short supply. In fact, the Census Bureau predicts that the number of seniors will more than double from 40.2 million in 2010 to 81.2 million in 2040. These disastrous government policies are certain to hurt seniors. It's a real pity that the mainstream media couldn't find time to cover this story, although I'm sure Ezekiel Emanuel is pleased. They will say now, since they've dropped the "end-of-life counseling, you don't have to worry about rationing on the elderly or gov't intervention (no matter how subtle or stealthy). Here we see 40% (I saw elsewhere that it was 80% in a "straight" news article) LESS to be paid to medicare providers. Do we then have facilities with less to invest in equipment? Lower wages to docs & personell? Leading to bad attitudes? Moonlighting? Overworked & stressed employees? Rushing more patients through to compensate for the lower reimbursement? I don't know. Does this logic follow? They sure don't have a workable plan, here. And they know it. It IS clear that THAT is why they wanted to rush it through.

POPSGoogle Looks to Campuses for 'Cloud' Converts I still think Nicholas Carr was right on point with his book, The Big Switch. The IT departments will soon shrink or disappear. Personally I think one step further is people will start becoming free of their desktops and look more to mobile and netbooks or tablets and work in new and improved ways. Cube life is non-productive as are crowded classrooms and lecture halls. Smaller, distributed classes with real-world meetups whe needed. Perhaps it will also force companies to push departments to collaborate better.

He should have taken the stolen information and alerted twitter about what happened and not even considered publishing them or reading them.
