"THE CRASHERS" Tareq & Michaele Salahi
mountainpalm
by mountainpalm  12-18-2009
in 2005...................WHAT A SCAM to throw the Secret Service UNDER THE BUS!!!! and Barry O knows them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tareq and Michaele Salahi snapped the pic above with Obama at a “Rock The Vote” event on 09 June 2005 (btw also attended by John McCain … whom the Salahi’s also took a pic with).. McCain won an award for his work on campaign finance reform”. “Just call me Funk Master McCain”, he told the audience of 1000 in accepting his award. Obama won an award for “forming a multiracial coalition in winning his seat”. Cute. Michaele Salahi is getting quite a ribbing in the Press for lying about being a Redskins cheerleader, but Tareq is the much more interesting of the two to me. He has direct ties to Palestinian terrorists.

Dick Cheney Takes It To Obama on National Security
merrie
by merrie  10-22-2009    1
It appears that Obama’s dissenters are piling on his back. As a result, the foreign policy hawks and neocons are making a successful comeback. We all witnessed how capable and successful Cheney was when he took his case to the airwaves, TV shows, and editorials in defending the Bush administration’s legacy. It is beyond dispute that Cheney can make a convincing case and draw a sharp contrast between the Obama administration on what it takes to secure America and defends its interests. As more and more Americans see President Obama as indecisive in making his decision in Afghanistan, even as his commanders on the ground request direct action and troop increases, the more this type of onslaught will sink him further in the polls and erode what little is left of his political capital and public confidence. Medicare and Gag Orders

by jay8h  9-25-2009
"Meanwhile, we have the case of the Association for the Advancement of Retired Persons (AARP), and its fanciful Medicare claims. The self-styled seniors lobby is using all its money and influence to cheer on ObamaCare, even though polls show that most retired persons oppose it. AARP has spent millions of dollars on its TV ad campaign and bulletins and newsletters to its members, including eight million direct-mail letters over Labor Day. The AARP Web site claims that it is a "myth" that "health care reform will hurt Medicare," while it is a "fact" that "none of the health care reform proposals being considered by Congress will cut Medicare benefits or increase your out-of-pocket costs."

“It’s Life Has Come To An End” Ahmadinejad Lays The Smack Talk On Israel
merrie
by merrie  9-18-2009    3
Ahmadinejad’s fresh comments came ahead of his appearance at the United Nations General Assembly next week and before Tehran attends talks on Oct. 1 with major powers worried about the Islamic Republic’s nuclear strategy. NUCLEAR PROGRAMME Ahmadinejad repeated on Thursday that Iran would “never” abandon its disputed nuclear programme to appease critics. In an NBC-TV interview, he also offered no direct response when asked whether there were any conditions under which Iran would develop a nuclear weapon. “We don’t need nuclear weapons,” Ahmadinejad said, speaking through an interpreter. “We do not see any need for such weapons. And the conditions around the world are moving to favour our ideas,” he added. President Barack Obama, who came to office pledging to engage with Iran, has suggested Tehran may face harsher sanctions, possibly targeting its gasoline imports, if it does not accept good-faith talks by the end of September.

The shock-jocks like Limbaugh are out there in the shadows of their microphones waiting to make an attack on the innate fears of the populous. They exaggerate, amplify, blow out of proportion and hyperbolize everything and I mean EVERYTHING that may cause apprehension amongst those who are unaware of what the radio host real motive is (make ada BIG BUCKS!). In other words they prey upon the gullible for gain. I wish these vulnerable people could become informed the old fashion way by reading and inquiring the many information outlets available (legitimate newspapers and educational library books) but that's too difficult for them, plus they may be too worn-out from the hard lives they are forced to lead, due to lack of information and education. It's just too easy to click a knob on the old TV or radio and tune into the shows that dumb down their audiences. Also, the Limbaugh's give them a punching bag to direct their pant-up anger at. It’s not only sad, it’s criminal.

The only way Ahmadinejad could better epitomize everything you hate is if he were fervently pro-America and a woman. Instead of imagining Bush doing every evil thing you can think of, you can try imagining Ahmadinejad doing the same — except he might actually be doing them. Of course, I’m not saying you should hate him as much as you hated Bush — I don’t think that’s possible — but you could maybe spare a little anger for him.

Glenn Beck's 'Liberal Fascism Hour': Revising history as Newspeak
ratilfar
by ratilfar  4-14-2009    3
From the article: Ok, let's walk through this. F.D.R. headed up the war efforts against the Nazis during World War II. Henry Ford did everything he possibly could to prevent the United States from fighting the Nazis because he was a fan of the Nazi regime. Henry Ford was awarded and accepted the highest medal that Germany bestowed upon foreigners in 1938. The Ford factories in Europe helped build the Nazi war machine. The rabidly anti-Semitic paper that Ford published helped inspire the Holocaust and popularized the notorious Protocols of Zion. But in Beck's warped, alternate universe, Henry Ford is anti-fascist because he didn't like the New Deal ... - while the guy who actually headed up the government while it fought and defeated the fascists is a fascist. Here's a clue for the eternally clueless Beck: we actually had fascists in America during the New Deal - and some of them were opposed to it precisely because they were fascists.

In another breathtaking move the latest in world communication technology took place in the White House...(while Bush is still trying to figure out his email). The questions were refreshingly different than the trivia, negative hooks and combative issues much of the mainstream media and sour Republicans think. People could vote on the questions as well and in this direct link and democratic method a more honest and simple picture of what Americans think was allowed and some questions the mainstream wouldn't touch (like legalizing marijuana) were honestly acknowledged and addressed. (Sorry marijuana users, although about ten days ago the DA announced the Feds would not be hunting down marijuana users unless they were also violating state law -- very brilliant 1st step -- it seems growing and taxing pot is not seen as a method to 'grow the economy.') Outflanking media control of what gets asked and with direct appearances like this on the Net, on TV shows, Obama his great pr

Over Two-Hundred Economists Against The Stimulus
merrie
by merrie  1-30-2009    4
Cato has just published a full-page ad in the New York Times with the names of some 200 economists, including some Nobel laureates and other highly respected scholars, who “do not believe that more government spending is a way to improve economic performance” — contrary to widespread claims that “Economists from across the political spectrum agree” on a massive fiscal stimulus package. Of course, many economists don’t like to sign joint statements, so this is only a fraction of stimulus opponents in the profession. Greg Mankiw pointed to a few noted skeptics last week: More government spending by Hoover and Roosevelt did not pull the United States economy out of the Great Depression in the 1930s. More government spending did not solve Japan's "lost decade" in the 1990s. Read the text of the ad in HTML with additional signers http://www.cato.org/fiscalreality

cont: Here you have an open-and-shut case of a rogue, dictatorial regime kidnapping and holding hostage innocent soldiers...soldiers that were not in Iranian waters when they were apprehended. The Brits have the GPS data to prove it. One of the sailors is a woman, making the situation all the more outrageous. On top of all this, Iran is parading the soldiers on TV...in direct violation of the Geneva Convention. And what does the UN do? Nothing. Why? Because the UN is anti-American, and that makes it anti-Brit. It's time for not only the United States to pull out of the United Nations but for us to kick them out of the United States. Let's form another international organization composed of countries with elected governments that adhere to principles of economic freedom and guaranteed rights for their citizens. The UN? Give it Haiti. The two deserve each other. The left always tells us we need the U.N. as a place for countries to settle international disputes. Tell me just one

It's Biden
Wisco
by Wisco  8-23-2008    3
You heard it here last folks. The text was sent pretty late, so I was long gone into dreamland. I woke up, turned on CNN, and caught the news. It wasn't much of a shock. Good choice, bad choice? Dunno. He could've done much worse and I don't think anyone in the running would be any better. There really wasn't a hit it out of the park choice available. Radical Clintonistas won't be happy, but at this point there are about 10 of them. Biden's Wikipedia bio is here . Obama got a lot of coverage out of his text message VP story -- which, let's face it, was a gimmick. But it was a very successful gimmick that sucked up all the oxygen in the newsroom for the past few days. Score one for Obama in the media war. The good news for me is that this frees up one of my dream cabinet members -- Bill Richardson for Secretary of State. Now, if we can just get people to start talking about Attorney General Russ Feingold, I'll be happy as a god

Kenyan government spokesman Alfred Mutua, who accused Obama of meddling inappropriately in Kenyan presidential politics. Mutua said politely but pointedly that "I think Odinga has to look at critically where he is receiving his advice from. Just because somebody wants to run for president, and he is using Senator Obama as his stooge, as his puppet, to be able to get where he wants to get." Odinga, representing the Orange Democratic Movement, or ODM, and Sheik Abdullah Abdi, the chairman of the National Muslim Leaders Forum, or NAMLEF, signed an agreement Aug. 29, 2007.

Once his plan to “swallow entire America” is complete, Moon told his followers in one sermon, there will be “some individuals who complain inside your stomach. However, they will be digested.” But Moon’s hatred of America is not deemed news, in part, because Moon has financed the Washington Times since 1982 to the tune of more than $3 billion, according to former newspaper insider George Archibald. Moon also has lavished many millions of dollars more to pay for conservative conferences and to bail out key right-wing figures when they have found themselves in financial distress, including Republican direct-mail guru Richard Viguerie and the late Jerry Falwell. Plus, Moon has paid large speaking fees to former President George H.W. Bush – estimated in the millions of dollars – and has feted President George W. Bush’s brother Neil at recent events for the Moon-sponsored Universal Peace Federation. In 2004, thankful Republicans even gave Moon use of a room in the Senate Dirksen
