POPSMD's Intentionally End Lives in 1 in 6 UK Deaths The last paragraph is really shocking. Before the whole debate over state healthcare started in the US, 16.5% all deaths were physician assisted. And that's only mentioned in passing, not as the lead in the article.

POPSUnconstitutional: Obama Seizes Private Businesses (Update) Think of this for a moment, your private dentist, or doctor, has been treating you for way ten years, along comes that warm fuzzy sounding “”Health Insurance for everyone”, where the Government comes into your dentist’s office, or your Doctor, and tells them, you must now practice out of this facility under this agency or you must stop practicing medicine/Dentistry, thereby forcing the closure of their private business. Its coming folks. The Federal Government is acting in a blatantly unconstitutional manner, and no one seems to be talking about it. The silence in the mainstream Media is nothing short of thundering. The Government is seizing private businesses, and this is just the start. Is this the hope and change you voted for? Government seizing private business? This is not hope. It’s the wanton destruction of the very thing that makes us a free people, the Constitution of the United States. 10th Amendment, 5th Amendment

POPSIs Tooth Cleaning a Scam? .....And let me be clear that I’m not calling into question the value of brushing and flossing your teeth, or visiting your dentist regularly to check for cavities, as well as other potential problems). But it’s food for thought.

POPSPhilosophy of Seinfeld:Wit and Wisdom This clip shows just a few of a very long list of great quotes from the TV show Seinfeld from Jerry, Elaine, Kramer, and George. Funny stuff from a classic show! At the end of the site is the video of Elaine dancing her "little kicks and thumbs out" dance. Hysterical!

POPSClothing styles and mental health
n a follow-up study two years later, a number of the same pupils were resurveyed and completed measures of mental health. Results showed that clothing preferences in adolescence appeared to influence future mental health, with different effects apparent by gender. Bangladeshi girls for example were most likely to benefit from traditional clothing choices, and White British girls benefited from integrated clothing choices. In contrast to Bangladeshi girls, White British girls with traditional clothing preferences had a higher risk of ill mental health, and White British girls who preferred clothing from other cultural groups (assimilated) were at an even higher risk. Bangladeshi boys who entirely preferred wearing western clothing had a lower risk of mental health problems, and White British boys with integrated clothing choices had the lowest risk of mental health problems at follow up, with the highest risk being those with marginalised clothing choices. These findings were sustain

POPSA great story about reading and writing I have been reading a lot about writing. About how writing is changing, how it is becoming more collaborative, how the read/write web is changing how we read and how we write. Are we more aware of an audience? do we need to be? Does it transform how we interact with others? Does it change how we view ourselves? others? I just enjoyed how Keillor connects the two and how he mentions this need for intimacy in people's lives. It still amazes me how intimate I feel towards people across the internet than people next door to me.
