Proctologists On Health Care Reform
merrie
by merrie  8-26-2009    2
The Anesthesiologists thought the whole idea was a gas, and the Cardiologists didn't have the heart to say "no". In the end, the Proctologists won out, leaving the entire decision up to the assholes in Washington. Patterico's Pontifications http://patterico.com/2009/08/25/procotologists-on-obamacare/ Proctologists on ObamaCare … and other decidedly-not-serious medical views. "

Maybe It WAS Over When The Germans Bombed Pearl Harbor
merrie
by merrie  12-11-2008
Noting the date, Dec. 7, which marks the anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, Wright instead chose to focus on the thousands of Japanese civilians who died four years later when the U.S. dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima. (After church officials turn away reporters, former pastor blasts the media in his sermon) By Manya A. Brachear | Tribune reporter December 8, 2008 http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/chi-wright-08-dec08,0,6598372.story Forget the fact that the Obamas listened to this clown. The exigencies of national politics have rescued them from Wright's silliness. What about all the other people who still do? Was it not the Trib's obligation to point out that they are paying close attention to an idiot? You know, for their own good.

New YouTube Video Details The Issues In Berg v Obama Court Filing
merrie
by merrie  10-13-2008    6
While legal, Berg stated he is “outraged as this is another attempt to hide the truth from the public; it is obvious that documents do not exist to prove that Obama is qualified to be President.” The case is Berg v. Obama, No. 08-cv-04083. Their joint motion indicates a concerted effort to avoid the truth by attempting to delay the judicial process, although legal, by not resolving the issue presented: that is, whether Barack Obama meets the qualifications to be President. Obama cannot produce a certified copy of his “Vault” Birth Certificate from Hawaii because it does not exist.

Comcast's Usage Cap: What Will It Mean To You?
merrie
by merrie  8-29-2008
Users’ monthly fee are tied to their broadband usage, which is capped at 5 Gigabytes to 40 Gigabytes. I bet that if you start tracking your broadband usage, with software listed here, you’ll be unpleasantly surprised. The GigaOM 250 GB Challenge & 5 Tools To Monitor Your Bandwidth Consumption http://gigaom.com/2008/08/29/the-gigaom-250-gb-challenge/ AT&T and Verizon may soon follow in Time Warner’s footsteps, say analysts. I am still waiting for comments from both companies. Home broadband providers are increasingly competing with a slew of new, wireless broadband carriers like Clearwire. With consumers having more choices about which broadband provider to go with, Comcast and others simply can’t afford to tighten their usage caps too much – or to keep them at the current levels for long.

US quits Human Rights Council?
papananook
by papananook  6-9-2008    10
“We don’t understand the reasons nor the timing of the decision”, said Sebastien Gillioz of Human Rights Watch. “There have even been some positive signs during this Council. For example Belarus was not re-elected as a member in 2007 nor Sri Lanka this year”. The stupefaction was made greater by the fact the US actively took part in the universal Periodic Review (UPR) process where 32 countries were scrutinized by their peers in April and May. In particular a series of recommendations were made regarding Romania, Japan, Guatemala, Peru, Tunisia, Ukraine, Indonesia and others. Diplomats are equally concerned. If the current president of the Council, Doru Costea, declined to comment, his predecessor, Luis Alfonso De Alba said that he didnt see any reason to justify such a decision. Several observers mentioned Washington’s growing discontentment with the influence of the Islamic and African countries in the Council. “It is an aberration”, said Peter Splinter of Amnesty Internatio

Paris Olympic Torch Relay Is Cut Short
merrie
by merrie  4-8-2008
Thousands of police sent on to the streets to protect the torch relay as it made its way around the city were unable to prevent demonstrators hijacking the event. It meant the torch had to be repeatedly put out amid safety fears. The event began with several hundred people waving banners gathering on the Trocadero esplanade where the relay started. Several activists were later arrested, with some handcuffing themselves to the Eiffel Tower. Sky News Europe correspondent Greg Milam said extinguishing the flame was significant because the torch was supposed to be kept alight on its journey around the world. Doesn't he know that Lincoln was a liberal? The people overwhelmingly rejected the neoconservative agenda on Nov. 7th. Newt, don't go away mad, just go away.
