POPSThe Sad Illusion Of Happy Customers Best Buy is not being picked on here, it could be them or anyone else. As a regular part of my work I have to trudge through large retail stores all the time and my biggest complaint is the lack of help. If you want us to buy, then have enough informed sales people to help us and get us through the lines quicker! "It's not rocket science. To make customers happy, all you need to do is offer high-quality goods at competitive prices and staff your stores with a sufficient number of well-trained personnel to ensure a smooth shopping experience."

POPSCountdown: Senators Opposed to "Socialized" Health Insurance Voted for "Socialized" Property Insuran
But each of them voted just last year in support of government-run insurance, that insurance however protects property. It is the National Flood Insurance Program created in 1968, because the free market decided it could not make money on that unpredictable risk called flooding. Government-run flood insurance is sold through private insurance companies but it is backed by the government and the government assumes all risk. Unlike the public option which relies on customer premiums, government flood insurance gets a subsidy—also known as a handout—from the government and it is mandatory for some people. So given all the shouting over a public option, who could vote for mandatory taxpayer subsidized, anti- free market socialized flood insurance run by government bureaucrats? Every single politician I just named and most of Congress. Charles Boustany of Louisiana, along with 44 other Republicans, including going bipartisan on September 27th, 2007 to vote yea on the Flood Insurance Refo

POPSHopi Moved to Side with Coal Power Over Its Culture Sad. When marginalized indigenous peoples are forced to extend their marginalization out of need for money to survive in a world not of their making. There are Hopi who warned of this when Hopi and other indigenous peoples were forced by the US to adopt US self-government forms and discard their traditional ways of governing themselves. In the end culture is all a people have to support their sanity and survival - that applies to us as well. Money does not equal culture!

POPSDaewoo Cars Threaten Lemur Extinction When the rich want to get richer, they care not who or what they mess up. In this case it is Daewoo Group that sells cars, builds ships, pollutes Korean politics, bribes princes, and buys up farm land in one of the poorest nations on earth - Madagascar - AND cares not if Lemurs are made extinct. Makes you want to swear on Sunday. Send a letter at least to its president and maybe to USA customer service: customerservice@daewooUS.com

POPSFor Immediate Release iowahawk He encouraged independent God developers to support the closed-source iGod / iGov health care platform , warning that "woe be unto the unlicensed app developer, for he shall be smote by a vengeful hail of ACORNs." Other iGod apps currently in beta test include an end-of-life calculator, income leveler, and a wireless database detector for anti-government heretics and apostates. "I believe this exciting health care partnership opportunity with the Almighty will be every bit as successful as our previous peace partnerships in the Middle East, and will pave the way for an eventual merger," said Obama. No date has been set for Government-God merger plans, but the FTC has signalled it would give quick approval. To finance the project, Obama said US Government would seek US$2 trillion in a 103rd round of involuntary venture capital. POPSGlobal Warming Bill My electric company advised that the cost to "clean up" would cost each customer $1100 per year. I don't know about the rest of our service providers, but this won't be cheap. It will cost us all. Our air where we live, has been clean for years now. What's the problem?

POPSSome of the things people do to computers is downright painful. One day a customer called complaining that he just received his computer, but it won't turn on. When he first pushed the power button, the screen flashed and then everything died. I couldn't do much over the phone, so I went to the customer's office. It was plugged in, everything was hooked up ok, but, sure enough, it refused to turn on. I decided to take it back and promised to deliver a new one as soon as possible. But when I went to pick it up, I couldn't. Fearful of thieves, the man had fired some 24 inch bolts straight through the box, through the hard drive, motherboard, everything, locking it to his desk. "Oh," he said, "I thought it was just the TV part that was important. Will my warranty cover this?"

POPSEasy Way to Request Hotfix from Microsoft In case you are wondering, all the hotfixr site really does is submit a form that redirects you to this Microsoft page, replacing ID with the number that you put in. http://support.microsoft.com/hotfix/KBHotfix.aspx?kbnum=ID But it still saves you an extra step, probably worth bookmarking if you do a lot of maintenance on Microsoft products.

POPS Cybercrime Gang Suddenly Vanishes From Web A report from Symantec, the online security firm, alleges that the RBN has links with the criminal underground and government in Russia. However, in recent days huge numbers of RBN-hosted sites have disappeared from the Web, leading analysts to speculate that the group is revamping its business model. "RBN is reorganizing," said Raimund Genes, the chief technology officer of Trend Micro, a security group that has traced attacks by the RBN on corporate and government sites across Europe and US back to servers based in Panama. One reason is thought to be the recent threats by Russian authorities to impose tougher penalties on Internet criminals. Another was that large legitimate Internet service providers — which the RBN relies on to provide it with Internet access — have dropped it as a customer as its activities became more and more notorious

POPSWhen Google Owns You So, what happens now? What does Nick do? He’s sent a bunch of emails. But now what? Locked out of ALL of Google’s apps, the apps that I praise daily, the apps where Julien Smith and I are writing a book. Should we be doing that? I didn’t see a problem until this. What if we’re the next Nick? What’s your take? And what do you think of hands off customer service in this case?

POPSChristian Dior vs Dunkin Donuts What an odd pairing. High fashion vs fried cake? Recently both have been seen to cave to PC fringe groups over messages they sent. Dunkin Donuts with its "terrorist" scarved spokesperson, Rachael Ray and now this, Sharon Stone making a comment about "karma" in relationship with the recent earthquakes in China. Both companies acted irresponsibly over silly, non-issues.

POPSI don't know how I missed this..... .....BUT YOU MUST READ THIS VERY DISTURBING ANNOUNCEMENT!!! The part about carriyng out detention and "housing" ANYBODY. We're on the doorstep of mass incarcerations and be damned with local, state regulations and other plans. Folks, if this kind of disasterous government interference continues we are all doomed, no matter who you are. These broad and all-encompassing actions are not even mentioned by MSM. More evidence of complicity if you ask me.
