POPS Israeli Officers Cancel UK Trip For Fear Of Arrest For War Crimes "Lawfare", what a dumb way to demonize this. After all the law should be fare-fair, and apply equally to Israeli officials guilty of war crimes as it does everyone else. After all, Israel has as a policy the search and arrest of any war criminals connected to the Holocaust, regardless of age or place.

POPSIPCC's Dr Rajendra Pachauri: TERI-Europe, The Enigma
First, as we reported yesterday, we have the 30,417 donated by DEFRA, paid to TERI Europe via Cambridge University to cover Pachauri's salary and travel in producing a Synthesis Report of the IPCC AR4. Then, gleaned from the IRS return submitted by TERI-NA (North America) for the financial year ending in 2009, we get the information that a $27,000 donation was made by the Germehausen Foundation, "to support outreach efforts on the fourth assessment report of the IPCC." The cash was remitted to TERI India, its obvious intended recipient being R K Pachauri. Now we have the European Climate Foundation which, in the grant year 2009, makes a donation of an unspecified amount, direct to TERI India. This is to "facilitate meetings between Dr R K Pachauri and key European decision makers in support of an international agreement on climate change." This one should be of special interest to James Delingpole who reveals in his latest piece that he has a family friend who works .....

POPSHere's what WON'T happen in 2010 Obama will stop blaming George W. Bush for his failures. Liberals will stop blaming George W. Bush for him failing to get them a date on eHarmony.com. After admitting that human behavior might not be causing global warming, Al Gore will get a real job. California will become a national model for state budgeting. The New Jersey Nets will waltz their way to an NBA championship. General Motors will become the world's most profitable carmaker. Despite Democrats' massive spending, taxes in America will fall. Huge new taxes to pay for ObamaCare will spur investors to pour billions into new businesses, igniting a wild economic boom overnight. Obama, America's first postpartisan president, will actually include Republican ideas in his agenda. The mainstream media will treat Sarah Palin fairly. and pundits will finally stop making stupid predictions.

..... and the parties who are going to be assaulted first are the elderly who will be denied care in nursing homes, hospices and doctors visits and told to just go climb on an ice sheet and float to their death for the good of the village as the Inuit's did long ago. That is what awaits Americans as every American is going to need care sooner or later, and for those who think that the rich will get care, the patricians had better learn a lesson of fact, that when the system breaks down, as government is bankrupt, then places like the Mayo Clinic are not developing advanced treatments for the rich, and the rich people find out in 5 years that they too are being left to die. Americans will now be made criminals in not paying into this butcher system and this blogger will refuse to be a part of any system as this. Oddly if Keith Olbermann holds his moral ground, we will be in an Obama concentration camp charged with the same crimes of failure to hand over our money to a

POPSBackdoor Legislation: Obama Signs Hate Crimes Bill with Defense Bill How to Pass Unpopular Legislation 101: Attach them to Defense Spending. This is how Bush administration got through REAL ID. This is contrary to the purpose of Congress which should read and debate ONE BILL AT A TIME, instead of this fraudulent manipulation through "must pass" Defense bills. As for the bill itself, while a woman could slap a man for being too forward in a bar now normal men cannot do the same to a pressing homosexual who might "hit on them" without being charged with a new Federal "Hate Crime". Some are just "more equal than others" now and have Special Protection of the Federal government ABOVE all other U.S. citizens.

The rector of the University of Athens, Christos Kittas, was sent to intensive care Sunday, after being beaten by assailants using iron bars and then thrown out of his office Mr. Kittas, who was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday after recovering from a heart attack, called on fellow academics and politicians to tackle the problem on campuses. He said he "felt dead inside watching young people who could be my grandchildren or students commit crimes and vandalize the shrine to free thought." Last week, a professor at the Athens University of Economics and Business, Gerasimos Sapountzoglou, was targeted by extremists who beat and throttled him when he refused to stop a lecture. Several other academics have suffered similar attacks in Athens and Thessaloniki in recent months.

POPSAn Open Letter to Michael Mann, Disgraced Victim of Climategate If you possessed but a modicum of honesty, you would simply admit your crimes. Oh -- are you familiar with Archimedes? When ice melts, water levels actually fall. It has to do with displacement and the density of ice versus water. Claiming that sea levels will rise because glaciers melt is either ignorant or fraudulent. Can you pass that along to your buddy-slash-current Science Czar John "Mass Sterilization" Holdren? He's actually been wrong about, well, pretty much everything over the years. Maybe you could help him out. Mr. Mann, the best thing you could do would be to come clean and seek forgiveness. Such an act would be both humbling and liberating. You should try it. It's an option that's always available. And it's never too late to free yourself. Would you agree that humility and contrition are noble endeavors? Regards, Ben Barrack Walk towards the light, Michael. Doug Ross Blog http://bit.ly/5lUgHN

POPSBlair Iraq war admission sparks fresh outrage Blair is due to give evidence to the inquiry into the war, led by former civil servant John Chilcot, early next year, and the commentator in the Sunday Telegraph said the investigation's focus must now change. "Mr Blair's game-changing admission gives them a licence to be tougher and more prosecutorial," he wrote, a call echoed by campaigners at Stop the War Coalition, who urged Chilcot's inquiry to recommend legal action against Blair. Professor Philippe Sands, a leading international lawyer, said he believed Blair's comments had left him vulnerable to legal proceedings. "The fact that the policy was fixed by Tony Blair irrespective of the facts on the ground, and irrespective of the legality, will now expose him more rather than less to legal difficulties," Sands told The Sunday Herald.

POPSTwo 10-year-old boys charged with raping girl, 8 In 2004, 12-year-old Kyle Abdo became Britain's youngest-known rapist after he was convicted of attacking a nine-year-old girl. Abdo, who was 11 at the time of the incident, attacked the girl during a game of hide-and-seek at his home. In that case, the judge lifted naming restrictions. In February last year, a boy who admitted raping a seven-year-old girl when he was 11 became one of the youngest children to be convicted of the offence in Britain. The boy who could be named for legal reasons, carried out the attack during a drunken truth-or-dare game, a court was told. The boy drank four cans of lager and two miniature bottles of vodka before the assault.

POPSBritish Court Issued Gaza Arrest Warrant for Former Israeli Minister Tzipi Livni It is the second time in less than three months that lawyers have gone to Westminster magistrates court asking for a warrant for the arrest of an Israeli politician. In September, the court was asked to issue one for the arrest of Ehud Barak, Israel's defence minster, under the 1988 Criminal Justice Act, which gives courts in England and Wales universal jurisdiction in war crimes cases. According to Israeli sources, ministers who wish to visit the UK in a personal capacity have begun asking the Israeli embassy in London to arrange meetings with British officials. These, offer legal protection against arrest, and can be attended if the officials do face any threat of arrest. Livni, crucially, cannot enjoy any such immunity as she is an ex-minister. Ehud Olmert, the former prime minister, is in the same position.

POPSGlenn Beck Interviews Mike Goldfarb About Extortion of Ben Nelson: Video
They are attempting to extort his vote for health care reform. It blows my mind that Nelson would take these threats lying down. Doesn’t the man have any principles? So what if the left smears him, that’s what the left does. The American people have a right to know that a Chicago gangster lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. This health care bill is a disaster. It’s a horrific piece of legislation that is going to destroy our health care system and bankrupt the nation. POPSJustice arrives: Three cops among five indicted for obstructing federal hate-crime investigation i The Ramirez case was a classic example of why we needed to pass a federal bias-crime law -- especially considering the outrageous circumstances in which the local jury slapped the young thugs on the wrist: his was a pretty clear-cut case of jury nullification: the weight of evidence against the accused was so powerful that it's clear the all-white jury -- like similar juries in the South during the Civil Rights struggle -- was not going to convict two young white men of murdering a Mexican. Even if, as Friedman says, "the only reason he is dead is because he was Mexican." As they poured out of courthouse, the teens' supporters shouted "I was right from the start" and "I'm glad the jury listened" at cameras that caught the late-night verdict.

POPSThe Siren Call Of Tyranny Why was that? "The totalitarian phenomenon," Revel observed years ago, "is not to be understood without making an allowance for the thesis that some important part of every society consists of people who actively want tyranny: either to exercise it themselves or—much more mysteriously—to submit to it." It was a temptation that proved to be remarkably resilient. Following the collapse of the Soviet Union, the once fellow-traveling European left had no choice but to admit that the god to which it had long rendered faithful service had been an illusion, and incurably dysfunctional to boot. Yet that grudging concession, as Revel observed, did little to chasten the former groupies of totalitar ianism. On the contrary, it served as a springboard for a fresh assault on liberal-democratic principles.

POPSSenators impatient With Fraud Prosecutions The deck continues to be stacked by corporate interests against the people and U.S. law (what's left of it, anyway). More from the article below: "Robert Khuzami, director of enforcement for the Securities and Exchange Commission, and Kevin Perkins, assistant director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, said cases against executives and directors are especially difficult because the defendants are relatively sophisticated. "Many times they are developing defenses as they go along, and it takes a long time to unwind those," Perkins said. Breuer acknowledged that some fraud cases could soon become even more difficult if, as expected, the U.S. Supreme Court limits prosecutors' ability to bring cases against those who fail to provide "honest services." He said a ruling against the honest-services law would especially hurt cases against government officials."
