ALERT: Vulnerable Democrats Could Help Kill ObamaCare!

by merrie  Yesterday 8:54 PM
America Rising: An Open Letter to Democrat Politicians COMING NOV 2, 2010 We elected you on a promise of hope and change. We regret it. In 2010, we are taking the country back. Blue collar democrats, independents, and conservatives. We love our country. We are proud of our founders. And we will fight to protect our traditions. We don't want your revolution. America Rising VIDEO (3:11) http://bit.ly/81vOH1 FreedomWorks We use these metrics because grassroots works because politicians want to get reelected and those who are vulnerable know they have to listen. The recently announced retirements of several House members and Sens. Dorgan (D-ND) and Dodd (D-CT) will make these vulnerable members even more likely to listen to us. We only need to get 3 to change their votes in the House where the bill barely passed 220-215. Both chambers will have to vote again once the differences in the bills are sorted out, but time is short.....

It's no wonder our children aren't getting the education that the rest of the world is! A bunch of bible-thumping ignorant hicks are writing our childrens' textbooks! This is just pathetic. Good thing I'm involved in my Son's education, and that I fact check his schoolbooks ... one less ignorant child in the US.

In response to my Paxil post -- Is Paxil creating more people who aren’t self-reflective? More “Conservatives Without a Conscience”? Happy Idiots http://bit.ly/4EBV8s -- I received the post below from a real zombie, an actual conservative, with thought patterns similar to Michelle Bauchman, Glenn Beck, Palin, the tea-baggers, all the Republicans (notice how they do everything in unison -- complete authoritarian mind-control. Wow. Scary. Who knows, maybe they are the Borg! (As Palin, would say, *wink*)) Here's my response to his comments below. And remember to be kind to this drug addict. Who knows if he wouldn't be one of us is he wasn't popping that Matrix-promoted soma (Paxil)? My comment to him follows: Sorry to wake you from your Paxil-induced unreality. You remind me of the people I know on Paxil. They see their own traits reflected outside of themselves. As a therapist of 40 years, I'm quite familiar with that. It's called projection. Well maybe, just maybe, the current Republican Party's "big tent" has melted down the support of it's conservative base and the reason for the uprising across America. I hope Floridians are truly paying attention to what is going on in Washington and what their policies will actually mean to us.

Oh, great! That's all we need is more people who are happy, belligerent, idiots. I've noticed this personality change in people who have started taking antidepressants. Seems they are extroverted at the cost of empathy, self-understanding, self-consciousness. Hey, I've been there -- it's called inebriation. And, by the way, I've also noticed a tendency for these antidepressants to be doorways to other drugs, like alcohol, as a matter of fact. And these are dangerous combinations, as acknowledged by the proponents of these SSRI drugs. I say, right on, to Dr. Drew's comment on this: "I can't believe that these dangerous drugs like Paxil are still being viewed as possible solutions to "depression". We all need to get a clue that we are being marketed to in ways we never imagined." The holy man from India, Sathya Sai Baba, says that the path to liberation is through self-analysis, i.e., "know thyself." If we weren't balanced in terms of introspection and extroversion, would

Conservatives Have To Get Their Act Together
merrie
by merrie  1-2-2010    3
Remember the 3 biggies we are battling in 2010 Republicans and other conservative groups must focus and find candidates that not only can compete and do well in debates and the media but who really do have integrity, a commitment to our constitution and courage to serve. Anyone can find a pretty person and great speaker. Every tyrant I can think of through out our last 100 years was a sensational PR wizard and speaker. America must put a wall of protection against Fundamentalist Islam It is high time America does more than ‘review’ homeland security and watch lists. We must boldly define the enemy as Fundamentalist Islam, taught here and throughout the world. Once we find the courage to declare publicly the truth about the enemy we must then decide vividly and in media to go after Islamic clerics, known Islamic training camps in the US, Islamic agencies that work against our country and Government, ID sleeper cells and their allies. Sarah Palin, Man of the Year
jatfla
by jatfla  1-1-2010
She can be "Woman of the Year"...no harm. The article does justice to her impact on the conservatives who are still hopeful to maintain our Country. Many others are rising up to join her as we attempt to thwart the progress of PC, Socialism, and apathy. The article is balanced; not brushing over the questions. I hope that 2010 will be a year of cleaning house and elevating our *traditional* values, American productivity, humanitarianism, majority rule, and attacking corruption wherever it is found...all to begin afresh.

The Despot of the North
darkeforce
by darkeforce  12-30-2009
Once again, Prime Minister Harper tries to shut down the parliamentary process because he doesn't feel that he has tyrannical control over the government. Questions are being asked about the Afghani prisoner abuses and the opposition parties are blocking his heavy-handed bills in Parliament, so he's going to stack the Senate with Conservatives (a process he vocally condemned early in his despotic reign) to give him absolute control over the government. That's not the Canadian way; that's taking a page out of Bush's fascist book. If Governor General Michael Jean approves a prorogue, there is going to be a huge outcry, and hopefully, hell to pay.

Will GOP Call to Repeal Health Care Bill?
dl211
by dl211  12-30-2009    1
Repealing the health care bill, however, would take more than winning back a few congressional seats. Just as the Republican minority in the Senate has stalled the current health care debate, a Democratic minority could do the same to any repeal measure unless Republicans were able to pull together at least a 60-vote majority. The GOP would also have to overcome the strong majority Democrats now have in the House. Even if they were to win both chambers back, President Obama could veto any repeal measure at least through 2012. "Anyone who thinks they'll be able to repeal ObamaCare is kidding themselves," Michael Cannon, director of health policy studies at the libertarian Cato Institute, told the Washington Independent. "If they want to stop it, they need to stop it now."

Rove: Champion of "traditional" divorce

Actually, this is Rove's second divorce. His first wife was "Valerie Wainright, a wealthy Houston woman from the Bush social circle, but the marriage could not withstand his consuming preoccupation with politics." They divorced after three years of marriage. So the one that was just terminated was Rove's second "traditional marriage" to end without death doing them part. His next traditional marriage will be to his third wife. Did I mention that Rove believes it's vital that our secular laws enforce precepts of "traditional marriages" and bar everything else?

10 Reasons Why Republicans Will Win in 2010

CAP and TAX – Another massive tax increase on American families and small businesses. Ben Nelson’s Payoff – Ben Nelson sold his health care vote to Harry Reid for $300+ million in lower taxes for Nebraska. The $12 Trillion+ National Debt – Democrats in Congress spending money they don’t have. Mortgaging our children’s future. Nationwide Unemployment rate at 10% - The Democrats are spending money like it’s going out of style and yet they are ignoring policies that would create new jobs. The Government Takeover of Health Care - If the bill that comes out of Congress is signed into law, it will amount to a massive government expansion into our daily lives. It is the number one reason why Democrats should be defeated. Huck PAC is determined to lead the charge next year to regain Republican Majorities in the House and Senate. Health-care bill lets both parties down
jasonkelly
by jasonkelly  12-28-2009
The winner is the insurance industry, as anybody who's been watching Washington for a while knew months ago. Just follow the money. The insurance lobby spent far more than any other during the shaping of this disaster, but now they don't look like the bad guys who blocked health care reform. It's a perfect victory for them. Reform passed, goes the headline, but quietly the insurance industry is better off than ever, while the initial problem this legislation was supposed to solve is left unsolved. Ours is a dying empire. Get yourself ready.

Mandatory Provision of Health Care Bill is Authoritarian, Unconstitutional
blueridge
by blueridge  12-25-2009
Both liberals and conservatives are challenging its Constitutionality. To claim to "provide health insurance for thousands of Americans", by simply making it mandatory and threatening a fine (as the Senate bill does) is not a "public service", but tyranny. Listen to this powerful argument, from the left (David Swanson) : The Constitution provides Congress with certain enumerated powers in Article I and explicitly leaves all other powers to the states or the people in the 10th Amendment. So, the constitutional question, for those who still care whether laws are constitutional, is whether the power to force you to buy a horrible product you do not want from a disreputable monopolistic corporation that pays regular bribes to your elected representatives in the form of campaign "contributions" is specifically listed anywhere in Article I. Great point, is it not?
