POPSCan Lesbians Be Attracted To Men? I think sexuality is much more fluid than people would like to believe and I hate it when people want to put boundaries on other's. For some women the same sex attraction is so clear cut that there is no denying it. For others, it may be not so well defined. I think anyone who steps outside these boundaries in the gay community also risks a certain backlash--but as a group of people who have been historically oppressed, I hold them to a higher level of acceptance.

POPS'Dry Toilets' Provide Ecological Solution We have what we call a "composting toilet" in the woodland. If human solids and liquids are kept apart, there is no smell at all, and all you have to do add a couple of pinches of sawdust instead of flushing. I wouldn't put the resulting sweet smelling compost on the veg garden because being at the top of the food chain too many heavy meals and chemicals are contained in human waste. It is good for grass and trees though. And no water is used at all. It is much more hygenic than spreading waste around in water, too, since it is all kept in one container until it is "done".

Individual protests are fine, but when we come together and walk our talk, we force authority to pay attention. If we maintain our focus and momentum, together we can bring OUR government to heel Will there be threats and resistance and backlash from the Military-Industrial Complex Machine? You betcherass there will. So. Be prepared. Make sure your friends and relatives support and watch out for you in case of arrest. People cannot be disappeared when they have support from their community. Are you willing, but don't have the bucks? Get your friends and neighbors to chip in and send you as their representative. Solidarity, remember? Maybe your community can send a group to represent them, as an investment in taking back our voice in the government. It's time, people!

According to Reuters, “the administration was looking at setting up a special purpose vehicle to be a conduit for money…that would get around restrictions on executive bank pay.” There’s an irony here. Didn’t “special purpose vehicles” help carry us into this credit crisis to begin with? (Answer: They did! And into the Enron debacle, too.) Besides, isn’t it unseemly for the executive to skulk around the intent of a duly passed law? If the law is flawed, shouldn’t the administration persuade Congress to change it?

Conyers snapped, we've said that it is persons of color & minorities who've been hit hardest and are the worse off. YOU GOT THAT? Jackson Lee explained, in her wisdom, that of course when the minorities are helped that whites on need will also be helped and ultimately this is about need - not color. Yes'm. Thanky.

POPSSharpton Blasts Tiger Woods Sharpton, who has long championed taking black women as mistresses, said that today’s black athletes need to stop neglecting black women when it comes to extramarital affairs, and should follow the examples of positive black role models such as Jesse Jackson and Martin Luther King, Jr., both of whom cheated on their wives with black women. Sharpton also stressed that cheating with African-American women would help the black community financially by giving black girls the chance to sell their stories to tabloids and gossip magazines. POPSGay marriage's inevitability in doubt To make the case for gay marriage, protests are counterproductive, persuasion is what’s necessary. Proposition 8 won because we, and I say "we" because I am part of the gay community, failed to make the case why gay marriage is good for society. The gay community needs NEW LEADERS for Christ's sake. We don't need useless morons like Perez Hilton and Adam Lambert opening up their mouths and spewing stupid nonsense. You don't make progress by screaming and yelling at the other side. We should see a housecleaning at gay organizations and the selection of new leaders who refuse to demonize social conservatives, but seek to persuade them instead. Angry protests from the lot of vicious queens is useless. And until they wake up and understand this, forget about it.

POPSAfghan army 'in need of US funds' All govts suffer corruption to some extent, so Afghanistan is the same as all of us. What gives Obama the right to ignore what happens in his country, while preaching to others, can only be hypocrisy. Maybe it is a codename for the drugs and Karzai has to deliver them all to the invaders.
