POPSKids to Meet Marx in School
These two books have now become the basis for a new documentary, entitled The People Speak, to be aired December 13th at 8pm on the History Channel. The trailer portrays the documentary as a collage of compelling one-person readings, told through the words of “ordinary” people who have struggled throughout American history against oppression. Produced by Zinn, Matt Damon, Josh Brolin, and Chris Moore, the documentary appears to be cloaked, ironically (given Zinn’s admitted socialist agenda), in many of the traditional ideas that were behind our founding. The verdict is still out on the doc, but it is not for the books that inspired the film as well as the educational initiative associated with it. Perhaps due to their one-sided perspective of America’s past, Zinn’s history books have largely been limited to colleges and universities, until now. POPSBertolt Brecht Quote Collage "Mack the Knife" or "The Ballad of Mack the Knife", originally "Die Moritat von Mackie Messer", is a song composed by Kurt Weill with lyrics by Bertolt Brecht for their music drama Die Dreigroschenoper, or, as it is known in English, The Threepenny Opera. It premiered in Berlin in 1928. A moritat (from mori meaning "deadly" and tat meaning "deed") is a medieval version of the murder ballad performed by strolling minstrels The Brecht-Weill version of the character was far more cruel and sinister, and has been transformed into a modern anti-hero. The opera opens with the moritat singer comparing Macheath (unfavorably) with a shark, and then telling tales of his robberies, murders, rapes, and arson.

Pretending that Taliban or Al Qaeda leaders are indispensible and not more like Hydra is not a good reason to support video-game-like Predator drones. So far, to his shame, President Obama has given green light or at least not a caution light to the proponents of sanitary and safe assassination. Everyone, it seems, has chosen to forget that such claims by proponents of weapon systems have more often turned out to be wrong - dangerously wrong as they were in Viet Nam about using Agent Orange, making up head counts of how many Viet Cong were killed and how much it mattered, and carpet bombing by B-52.s

POPSMurdered at 5 months old......Little life Lost
Long gone is the Norman Rockwell kind of world I was raised in. Back when life help meaning. Families were families with a true unshakable bond. Parents and Cops were respected, and it wasn't an act to try to reflect the warmth you held for humanity. Then the government stepped in. We could no longer have prayer in school...might offend a minority of people. No longer stood to do the pledge of allegiance.....that offended some that were not from this country. Even though child abuse may have been less then 1% children were taught if your parents spank you or correct you tell your teacher or somebody. So kids gained rights and the parents were left to have to deal with them telling to go f____ themselves. And now we sit back and wonder what happened. Why is society the way it is without a clue and looking dumbfounded. I am a very simple man, no more education then the average collage grad but don't have to be a brain surgeon for me to figure it out. Thanks Government.....

What i got was a collage of pop culture celebrities and mega brands. M.C. Hammer...really, M.C. Hammer? Real, ordinary, extraordinary people are the faces of social media. They are the ideas, inspiration and content that power social media. Not Britney Spears or any of the other people on the home page of Wefollow.
