POPSClipmarks - Supergranular Version More reviews of clipmarks: One from Yahoo Finance (via Business Wire) and one from Webware. I loved Rafe Needleman's review at Webware and the "supergranular version" naming. :-)

POPSDocstoc: Clipmarks for Documents! I thought my title was better than their own description, "Youtube for documents". Their's is hype, mine is more accurate. This suggests also that Clipmarks programming could be applied to various fields in like manner, for various applications. I would like to see Clipmarks expand their capabilities like this so we could post or embed actual legal (legislative) briefs that could be scrolled right from a blog, making reading and reporting online a great deal easier, and pdf in particular easier to reference in a blog post. (A Firefox addon for pdf files to view as html also exists). (Just let me share if this idea becomes profitable!)

POPSDo Blogs (or Clips?) Echo Corporate News Agenda? Paper is explicitly exploratory, and raises lots of questions. It occurs to me that factor and cluster analyses of Clipmarks content may be interesting. Given the potential effects upon the culture of democratic involvement, it would be worth keeping an eye on how the setting of what counts as news, and how such agenda is treated.

POPSWord-of-the-Week :: "Spandrel" I've enjoyed Stephen Jay Gould's writings for years. Now, even in death, he gives me new things to think about. Have added 'spandrel' to the poem-in-progress for which I'm gathering words and phrases from the public lexicon. Missing Gould on the planet. Furthermore, testing http://clipmarks.com, a toolbar script that allows blogging and saving of clips. Let's see how that goes.

POPSPlaying with Clipmarks Hi this is a test run, I have been looking at firefox addons and one of them shows how to clip small pieces of information and blog it or bookmark it. So this is just something small from a theatre sports site http://www.creativedrama.com/theatre.htm Check out http://clipmarks.com for more info on how you might like to use clipmarks on your blog.

POPSBest Web LittleCo of 2006--and Most Promising for 2007 from Read/WriteWeb: "It was a very hard decision this year, for a few reasons. Firstly a number of the frontrunners for Best LittleCo ended up being acquired by the end of the year! This is probably the nature of the beast - if you're a successful Web LittleCo, then you'll attract the attention of BigCo suiters. This is exactly what happened to our 2004 picks, Ludicorp (creator of Flickr) and del.icio.us - both of which were snapped up by Yahoo in 2005. Having said that, 2005 LittleCo winner 37Signals is still independent and doing its own thing." from me: Note how comments reflect the popularity of web apps. And note that comments regarding ClipMarks are creating a good impression--and rightly so!

POPSClipmarks + Tumblr.com mashup with Yahoo Pipes I made my second Yahoo Pipes hack. It takes a Clipmarks username and tag, loads the feed, and then strips it down to title, link, clipper's remarks and clip source and outputs the result as RSS. This can then be posted in a linkblog like any other link. Update : see this clip (http://snipurl.com/1hn29) for an example of the output. Update #2 : including live links in the description breaks the whole thing. Update #3 : Screenshot here: http://snurl.com/1hpm4

POPSWeb2.0 and more web2.0 I just clipped a tiny tiny portion of this site. Go to the source for more than enough to make the geekiest geek's head spin. Just kidding I think. This is really a treasure trove of web 2.0 resources. Even the might Clipmarks is proudly listed.

POPSNew Firefox Add-on (testing) Thought I would test the new "Clipmarks" add-on for Firefox. It's suppose to make blogging easier by selecting section of a webpage to "clip" for posting to your blog. Let see how well it works.

POPSI'm out of blog retirement Being that i spend 25 hours each day on clipmarks.com, this is where the focus of my clipping will be. But it will be interesting to see how it feels to also spread my clips and perspective outside the clipiverse and into the clip-to-blogosphere :)

POPSMy last clip I don't agree with censorship. Being censored by the Clipmarks staff I'll look for better airs. Thanks to all the "clippers" for all the good things you clipped. Ate mais, Kwonsu

POPSUpdated blog links (for the BIG BLOG EXPERIMENT!) Blogging Pop Culture in College Someone used clipmarks to clip my students' list of blogs from a google notebook that was slightly out of date- just wanted to give an update in case anyone on clipmarks would like to participate in the experiment! Feel free to comment on any and all of the student blogs...you needn't be an expert on their topics or on anything else for that matter! We're blogging about gender and popular culture and doing it as a community journalism/public education project (think tent state, not a public service ad :o).
