POPSMoon Survives Unprovoked Attack! In defense of science. Still worry that we allow rubbish to litter the moon. To prove there is water. So, don't we have enough brands of bottled water already? Maybe so that astronauts can stop off and have a shower on their 10 thousand year journey to the nearest exoplanet which may support life.

POPSRubbish Problem Worsens in Cairo More at clip source. Today, we've not had any water in the neighborhood where I live. This has never happened in the two years I've lived here. The authorities are fixing the water main: I doubt we'll have water by tomorrow morning. Bottled water is unhealthy, but I am happy to have it today. About the rubbish pile up: In the affluent and powerful areas like where I live rubbish is not piling up in the streets. And I doubt this is a problem in New Cairo or 6th October. My friends in Giza do not enjoy the same privilege. If the government really cared about public hygiene they would have cleaned up this city long ago. Egyptians deserve better.

POPSHow Many Gallons of Water Does it Take to Make... Violence over water rights is already breaking out in regions of the world where water is scarce. Along with political tensions--and maybe wars--we're going to see food production affected, and more people flat out hungry and thirsty. And it's all because we're simply using too much water.

POPSBo, the White House Dog 'Dumped' The baths, used up to 5 times a day during the spiritual holiday, before each prayer call, became a constant chore for the Secret Service Agents delegated to insure that the bath water was always at the right temperature, and purer than the bottled imported water favoured by the First Lady. Bo, the lovable retriever, who remained largely ignored after the first few photo ops in the rose garden, was forced to entertain himself due to lack of attention. Imagine his delight, when during investigation for discarded chicken and rib bones under the Obama Dining Table, he was able to find 17 private pools for his canine delight! Bo, who is black, is said to be happy in his new home and doesn't feel that his 'dumping' was racially motivated.

POPSSix Indictments Against Bottled Water For years, advocacy groups have been raising concerns about bottled water: Not only do bottles end up littering the landscape, and not only are those plastic bottles derived from fossil fuels, but they also may leach chemicals into water and the quality of the water is not stringently monitored.

POPSMarney: Thanksgiving Hostess FROM HELL!!! Remind me NEVER to have Thanksgiving dinner @ Marney's: HJB—Dinner wine The Mike Byron Family 1. Turnips in a casserole with a lid and a serving spoon. Please do not fill the casserole all the way up to the top, it gets too messy. I know this may come as a bit of a surprise to you, but most of us hate turnips so don’t feel like you a have to feed an army. 2. Two half gallons of ice cream, one must be VANILLA, I don’t care what the other one is. No store brands please. I did see an ad this morning for Hagan Daz Peppermint Bark Ice Cream, yum!! (no pressure here, though). 3. Toppings for the ice cream. 4. A case of bottled water, NOT gallons, any brand is ok.

POPSBefore you get the flu, make a flu care kit For directions on how to mix the salt/sugar rehydration solution, see here More that wouldn't fit: stomach-settlers of your choice: if you like Rolaids or Pepto-Bismol, great, but you might also think about things like dried peppermint (peppermint tea), candied or dried ginger, and dried catnip (catnip tea) rubbing alcohol and gauze pads or cotton balls/cotton wool -- can be useful in reducing fevers a copy of the Merck Manual of Medical Information (Home Edition) -- one of the single most useful books any household can own, can help you know the difference between, say, "just a cough" and pneumonia a copy of Where There Is No Doctor: A Village Health Care Handbook -- an unbelievably useful basic diagnosis, treatment, and prevention handbook for common health care issues

POPSBottled Water Carries Hidden Cost to Earth In the US, more bottled water purchased than beer or milk. (Reluctant to believe that we, or the Poms, drink more water than beer). I have heard American beer referred to as "sex by the sea".

POPSGrow your own tobacco! Go to source and be sure to read the comments- Good luck smokers in growing your own tobacco! :) economic beat down I'm pretty much fed up with the sin taxes, as is about everyone else I know. The state I live in past legislature last year, which for the most part, banned smoking anywhere other than the privacy of your own home. I completely understand an individual, going out to eat, preffering not to eat smoke with their dinner, and frankly any smoker that can't go a hour or two without a smoke needs to reel it in a bit, but why in the world can we no longer smoke at work? Our facility had an enclosure for the smokers so the non-smokers were not affected. Why are the smokers paying the taxes for the mpeacees? How about a tax on soda.. bottled water.. candy bars? The way goverment is going with taxes, the buy out, and various "other" things... can you say "communism"... SMOKERS UNITE!!! I'm planting my own tobacco plants this spring! #34 - jp - 03/19/2009 - 20:00
