Making 8-digit salaries, flying around in $36 million private jets... and coming to the HOG TROUGH asking for $25 billion in bail out money. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!! The auto industry in US is dead... let them go into backruptcy. Then maybe the unions will buy them out (at book market price after bankruptcy) it will only cost about $2 billion... much better deal than having the tax payers foot a $25 billion bill. The union can then decide who will run it (no more 8-digit salaries) and what they will manufacture. My suggestion is that they re-tool to produce wind turbine generators, solar electrical equipment... and/or even bicycles. Let the Communist Chinese take over the auto industry... they deserve it... and if they don't make electric cars, etc., they will soon be bankrupt also.

Two of my friends died on consecutive days. When the charred remains of American contractors were strung from a bridge in Falluja, I put aside a book I was writing to attend the funerals. In Colorado we laid to rest a Special Forces friend who'd been killed in Samara; then on to Florida for the funeral of the friend who'd been murdered and mutilated in Falluja. A photo of the dang ling corpses won a Pulitzer. I purchased and borrowed the equipment required for the journey. Camera, satellite phone, laptop, body armor, helmet, and so on. Like most of the people who would later be called "alternative media," I bore these expenses myself, including the flights to Kuwait.

POPSBaptist Church to Burn Bibles This one certainly belongs in the LOONY BIN because of the bazaar reasoning of this apparently misguided congregation. I wish I could say that this is an isolated case but I know far too many "KING JAMES ONLY" adherents who would probably applaud this behavior. In my post To King James or Not to King James I wrote at great length on this issue. There has been an ongoing controversy surrounding this issue, but the way this old bird sees things, the crazy antics of this Baptist church makes me wonder if reading the KING JAMES bible causes otherwise rational people to loose all reason. This pastor and his 14 followers have certainly flown over the cuckoos nest. And that is how I see it! Eagle Out!
