POPSSome more changes for Clipmarks So, last week we went live with Clipmarks 3.0; a HUGE set of new features, functionality and user interface changes. This was definitely the most challenging time we ever experienced, as it literally felt like there were a million pieces to the assemble. Overall, I feel really good about how everything went. That said, there were a few things I wish we handled better. Tonight, we’re introducing the first in a series of updates aimed at improving upon the initial release of V3.0. These are based in large part on amazing feedback we received from our users. Thank you to everyone for giving us your feedback and caring so much about Clipmarks. We’ve got a lot more coming… Clip on!

POPSWEP/WPA Cracking with WZCook Disclaimers aside, I bookmark utilities like this one for a number of reasons, one being my inability recall where it was that I wrote down my WEP key. (I've long since given up on actually remember the passphrase itself!) A more recent application occurred during a hotel stay during which the hotel locked down it's internet access using a passphrase due to a "malicious user", and I needed access before the phrase was distributed to the front desk IT person. As you can see, there are a fair number of legitimate uses out there, and this little app takes up very little hard drive real estate. I actually have a USB drive with "travel"-related software utilities such as this, which has saved my quite a few times.

POPS10 Awesome Tools That'll Make You A Twitter User Expert! 7. Twitterfone Twitterfone is a nifty tool which let's you post messages to your twitter account using your voice. It translates your voice into text and posts them. You can use it when you don't feel like using your cellphone's keypad to tweet. 8. Twittercal Twittercal, as it says, connects your Twitter account to your Google Calendar account and let's you easily add events from twitter. 9. Quotably Quotably let's you view the twitter conversations as a discussion thread and also allows you to reply to them and participate in the discussion. This can be very useful if you are looking to follow a particular discussion. 10. Timer Last but not the least, Timer does a very simple but extremely useful thing. It uses twitter to remind you about a task at the time specified so that you don't forget to accomplish it. I hope you'll find all or some of these tools useful as a twitter user. You could also follow me on twitter.

POPS$999.99 "I Am Rich" iPhone App Not A Joke I just checked the App Store and this app, which was released yesterday, is still live/available. Some see this as evidence that Apple is shirking its duty to select only useful, best-in-class apps for the App Store. But there probably is a market for witty, way-overpriced apps like this. And each time someone buys "I Am Rich," Apple will collect $300.

POPSWhen Google Owns You So, what happens now? What does Nick do? He’s sent a bunch of emails. But now what? Locked out of ALL of Google’s apps, the apps that I praise daily, the apps where Julien Smith and I are writing a book. Should we be doing that? I didn’t see a problem until this. What if we’re the next Nick? What’s your take? And what do you think of hands off customer service in this case?

POPSPeople Reading God's Word Although I haven't used youversion.com, it is really causing a lot of good to happen. For instance, this quote is nothing but good. 6.2 million minutes over the course of two weeks reading the Bible! That is only those who have an iphone/itouch and who actually use this program. That is very good news. Spend time in the Bible. Nothing will change you like engaging in it.

POPSThe fight for the desktop heats up It all will be one environment eventualy. Most users five years from now wont know whether they are using a browser or an applet...because they are essentailly the same thing. ease of use and purpose driven software will be the winners.

POPSAge your photos in two easy steps Surprise! No content. I couldn't clip the site, and it's in Japanese (I think), but it seems to be an app that will age any photo in appearance. Just upload your image and click the button. Save the nicely aged photo for yourself.

POPSMass Photography With an 11x14-inch view camera and little more, Arthur Mole staged some incredible mass photography. His subjects were iconic national symbols around the time of WWI. Mole utilized thousands of military troops and other groups to form these bird's-eye view spectacles. You can view his entire collection online at the Library of Congress website.
