pkronfield
by pkronfield  11-12-2009    3
What this politically correct piece doesn't say is the town is probably mostly black. So what does this tell you? Obama sprung from Illinois politics. Beyond any doubt, this town likely voted for Obama. How do you like that "hope and change" Pembroke citizens?? Welcome to Obama's Amerika.

What Type of Recession Is It?
nuttyriv3r
by nuttyriv3r  8-13-2009
Good news...the recession is over? Obviously this makes no sense. I suppose the elections in Afghanistan, the tea-parties, town hall meetings, Obamacare, swine flu domestic militarism, missing Russian boats, the return of Star Wars, unrest in South America, typhoons, wildfires, and approaching hurricane news needed a little pick-me-up.

Today’s Edition Of Senate Gone Wild: Armed Guards To Keep Burris Out

by merrie  1-2-2009
I’m just an enterprising little blogger trying to make her way right here in Amerika! I don’t want to work in the potato fields! I NEED this material. So I IMPLORE you, Roland. Show up! Then we could do a nice analogy with what Saddam Hussein always did with people he didn’t want in the room. Come on guys! I need to catch a break here, mmmmmmmkay? I want to see the veins in Harry Reid’s neck pulsating. I want to see Blagojevich’s hair again. I want to hear Bobby Rush’s next speech after the only African American man in the room gets hauled out by the Democratic Party. “We’re not going to create a scene in Washington,” Burris said. “We hope it’s negotiated out prior to my going to Washington.” No no no! Prithee Roland, I beseech thee! Playing nice is not a part the congressional handbook, man! And it never provides good blogging material! Hey, by the way, did anybody notice that the Other Useless Party is awfully quiet these days?

Why I'm Voting For Barack Obama
merrie
by merrie  11-1-2008    1
It’s time we all reached down deep, some maybe deeper than than others, to Save the Children. It’s Obama as the Sally Struthers of our national conscience. It’s more than that. He’s the guy on our big national speedboat with lots of babes in bikinis. What are you waiting for? He’s got the secret to attaining universal health care and wealth equity, you just have to buy his tape. America can have killer abs, without all that sweating and going to the gym and kicking down third-world mudhut doors. It is that easy. Return it in four years, no obligation, if not fully satisfied. And that’s why I’ve decided to announce that I’m voting for Obama.* * That’s what I’ll be telling pollsters, the national media and everyone I know, anyway. What I do in the polling booth is my own damn business. Look, the leadership of the free world and all that is really important, but the last thing I want is anyone to think I’m a racist. Or even worse, not cool.**

New rights for terror detainees as deeply split Supreme Court rules

by papananook  6-19-2008
It isn't hard to figure out why the right wingers are all in an uproar over this--you see it gives rights to human beings that aren't Amerikans and that's unthinkable because if we actually see our "enemies" (anyone not Amerikan or kissing our leader's butt) as HUMAN BEINGS and not just some vile brown monkeys like we're supposed to. How sad is that? What has Amerika become? Are we so vile as to deny basic rights to everyone not born here? And when theyu are given the barest of rights--not freedom, juist a chance at Justice--The bile that comes from the Right wing, from Scalia to Giuliani to Limbaugh is so odious, I may gag.

What Would Reverend Jeremiah Wright Do?
merrie
by merrie  5-8-2008    5
In an emotional testimony he tells the world how, as he was watching YouTube clips of the Reverend, a voice said "Follow this man." He then made his hajj to Chicago, joining Rev. Wright's congregation. Everyone is acepted under Jeremiah Wright's large tent as long as they accept a few simple dogmas and agree to repeat them five times a day during prayers: * Being White is immoral. Every White person is guilty of conspiring against the Blacks * Being rich is immoral. Every rich person is guilty of conspiring against the poor * America is the infamous product of conspiracy by rich White males to create the source of all evil. Later it turned even more evil under the rule of Zionist puppet masters. * Jesus was a homeless African-American male who fell victim to a conspiracy of the rich Whites against the poor Blacks that resulted in racial profiling, followed by torture and crucifiction * The 10 Commandments are optional.

Freedom House: Wie frei sind die USA wirklich?
Rasmus
by Rasmus  5-8-2008

Former NSA Director: "By any measure the US has long used terrorism"
Geshizar
by Geshizar  2-23-2008    1
More Moreover, recently declassified documents show that in the 1960's, the American Joint Chiefs of Staff signed off on a plan to blow up AMERICAN airplanes (using an elaborate plan involving the switching of airplanes), and also to commit terrorist acts on American soil, and then to blame it on the Cubans in order to justify an invasion of Cuba. If you view no other links in this article, please read the following ABC news report; the official documents; and watch this interview with the former Washington Investigative Producer for ABC's World News Tonight with Peter Jennings (click link entitled "Joint Chiefs Guilty-Northwoods"). In addition, the FBI had penetrated the cell which carried out the 1993 world trade center bombing, but had -- at the last minute -- cancelled the plan to have its FBI infiltrator substitute fake power for real explosives, against the infiltrator's strong wishes (summary version is free; full version is pay-per-view).

Americanism: The good, the bad and the ugly
Rasmus
by Rasmus  2-16-2008    1
The famous go-to-war-for “American way of life,” underlines America’s persistent claims of a monopoly on morality. What is it, this American morality? This righteousness? Is it our religious roots in the fable of the Puritan settlers, those super religious people who in their hardships were bigots, perhaps also practitioners of incest and racists soon morphing into dogmatic chauvinists who early-on labeled their dissidents and different-thinkers witches and demons. The same Americanism initiated then which today fosters the rights of the rich to become richer, the strong to trample the weak . Meanwhile, out in the empire, as long as it is distant, the Puritan legacy instills blindness to the use of cluster bombs from the stratosphere and hidden torture in places with foreign names like Guantánamo and Abu Ghraib . . . and while our neighbors in Haiti eat dirt, literally.

INFRAGARD: FBI Deputizes Business for Martial Law
blueridge
by blueridge  2-8-2008    1
Including "shoot to kill" during Martial Law. This is a direct copy of the KGB-citizen-business spy network, now in Amerika. Doing this increases both paranoia and super-patriot fantasy that is quick to mark people or groups as suspicious, especially dissenters of various sorts. Deputizing big business in particular means that "some are more equal than others" (Orwell, Animal Farm). "Membership has its privileges". "Protect the Homeland". Sieg Heil!

Schöne Bescherung im Biologieunterricht
Johanna_G
by Johanna_G  12-21-2007

7 years later: I told you so!
rwbehne1
by rwbehne1  10-20-2007
We're no longer hearing much about third parties in Amerika. What happened to them? Why don't we hear from them anymore? It's because they can no longer legally raise enough money to get their word out. The misnamed `campaign finance reform' actually outlawed the ability of all challengers to effectively raise funds for their campaigns. A better name for this heinous law would be `the Incumbent Protection Act', since that's precisely what it really does. And it does NOTHING to stop corruption in campaign financing. Rather, it has increased it, if anything. I warned about it years ago here: http://fredericksburg.com/News/FLS/2002/022002/02152002/524933 So now that enough time has passed for everyone to see the results of this law, I can honestly say: I told you so!
